In cords 33,25 (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/maps=3430:330254) there's a way (bridge) you can go up for (http://www.speedyshare.com/802998289.html). There it's level 4 mobbs (Arcane Wraith), they drop the quest-item "Wraith Essence".. If you go up more (higher) you can find mobbs called "Tainted Arcane Wraith" and they drop the other quest-item "Tainted Wraith Essence".

All this in Eversong Woods.. Hope this helps a little.

Do these have a rep or racial requirement? I brought an Orc Warlock over to Silvermoon and have been unable to acquire the warlock quests.

I'm a Level 17 BE Warlock and yet i still cant do the quest. I tried doing it at level 1 but it wasn't there. Level 2, still not there. so i left to Silvermoon City. So anyone have any ideas of what to do to get this quest?

After doing a faction change (from alliance to horde) I found out I could redo most all the summon quests, despite it letting me keep all the summon spells in the changeover.

So doing this imp quest at level 74 gave me 20750 xp. Though no lock should under normal circumstances be able to level that far without the imp (atleast not very easily), it's worth make note of for anyone else that decide to do the faction swap. All your race specific class quests gets listed as "not done", even if you have the rewards from them, and you can then redo them. And as I found out, the xp reward is rather nice.

This quest did not show up for me when I first visited the trainer at level 2.
The spell Summon Imp was learnable though. Maybe they killed the quest and just made it learnable?

Note: I give out all the locations in co-ordinates. If you haven't yet downloaded an add-on to give you co-ordinates then I highly reccomend it, I guarantee you will use it a lot. It is more reliable, accurate and easier to understand.
The add-on I use is called Cartographer.

Character: Blood Elf, Level 2, Warlock

Location: 32,25 confirmed.

Overview: Just go up into the academy killing the wraiths and collecting essence. Drop rate for me was one every tme.

Time Taken: 5 minutes.

Simple quest yes... You can also do this with the quest from the guy standing by the tree where the linx are. Kill for cred the same mobs and bring head of the guy at the top of the structure. Have fun...tons of new BE ensure that youll be up there fighting for the his respawn...wich is <1min.

Very simple quest head west, a lil south you'llsee a straange constructed building.
there is another quest you can do at the same time with this one....srry 4got name :p

2nd quest name is "Tainted Arcane Silver" the item which begins the quest drops from the tainted Wraith... GL all

West of here are the spires of Falthrien Academy. The arcane wraiths that infest it are a window to the source of demonic power. You are to bring me the essences of tainted and untainted wraiths.

In exchange for your obedience, I'll teach you how to summon an imp companion - your first of many as a warlock.
