Summoners can summon in a caster (the ones who summon the ghosts) or a Shield Guard, so interrupt/fear them if possible. The rocks get weaker as you damage them though, so pretty easy.

The summoners also drop Runes of Opening, which can open the lockboxes lying around (I didn't find anything good in them, just some greys).

When entering dalaran, look out for a level 40 standing on the outskirts of the ruins. He looks very similar to the summoners but is 5/6 levels higher. Also, the mobs inside the ruins are very close to each other and it is very easy to aggro multiple mobs.

This may come across as trolling, but this quest is why Dalaran in Northrend shouldn't be open to the Horde.

Cosidering the level I was when I did this (lv38) the mobs for this around the area have a high aggro range for their level (31-34), be careful lower level people as two or three of these can come running from no where and you'll be swamped.

To the north of Hillsbrad Fields, there is an area that looks like it has this big purple cell surrounding half the place, that is where you gotta go. There, you will see some elementals and humans around, those are what you have to kill, but try not to mistaken the Dalaran Workers from the Dalaran Slaves.

Do this quest with Bracers of Binding.

Elemental Slaves hits hard and it's easy to aggro two, so beware.

Did this solo at level 32, it's easy if you're patient.
Don't aggro the bears and spiders behind you and don't
rush in to the ruins.
Also stay away from the lvl 40 mage.

This quest is completed by killing 6 Dalaran Summoners and 12 Elemental Slaves.
They both can be found around Dalaran's purple bubble in Alterac Mountains (map).

Elemental Slaves:

Level 33 - 34
1 200 - 1 300 Health
No special abilities
Their size and physical damage done diminishes as their HP is reduced (first it drops by 15, then by 26 and finally by 40)
They have a huge area of aggro (if it's not a fight you wish, you better stay far away)
Kinda easy to defeat as long as you are able to pull them one by one

Dalaran Summoners:

Level 34 - 35
950 - 990 Health
Cast Fireball
They also summon help in the form of Dalaran Shield Guard with the spell Summon Shield Guard.
Easy to defeat, as long as you are able to silence / interrupt the summon spell casting

Rewards:

2450 experience (or compensation of 15 silver at level 70)
25 silver
150 reputation with Undercity
37 (www.wowhead.com/wotlk says 38) reputation with the other Horde factions (The Darkspear Trolls, Orgrimmar, Silvermoon City and Thunderbluff)

Quest starts and ends at Magus Wordeen Voidglare in Tarren Mill (61,6, 20,8 - map)
Quest has a prequest called Prison Break In, which requires you to retrieve 4 stolen items from Forsaken traitors in Lordamere Internment Camp.

lol, they did not update the quest text to reflect that the dome is no longer there like they have in other quests.

Good quest, but the elementals are immune to nature damage.

Sure it was easy, but what about the Dalaran Opener thingys - I got three from the Summoners, but only found one thing to open - contained a griffon feather quill. Anyone find more than one box?

If you did Prison Break In, you can't miss the dome. 20, 87ish in Alterac

I used the runes of opening on the lock boxes (frostreaver's coords are right 10,77) and the Broken Wand went fo 13c, the Cryphon Feather Quill went for 30c, both are grey and found in different boxes. For me it was not worth the extra effort. I did get a Tundra Ring of the Tiger that went for 2g at the AH, was a drop off of a Darlan Summoner.

If u remeber were u get ur Q just befor this one at the 20, 85. u just need to heading north from there, they are partol around this big purple ball at 18, 76

Did as lvl 32 Rogue piece of cake, just make sure u dont run into the lvl 40 archmage beside the pathway. Found a Rune pendant thing, ive been reading other posts ...apparently its pretty useless. Ill put on ah and see what happens.

If you see the chest that requires the rune of opening you'll see the are called hidden chest....you have to look hard for them. IMO though its a waste of time I have never gotten anything more than a grey item.

Suggest you combine this quest with Bracers of Binding (followup to Stone Tokens) as it involves killing elementals in same area.

as noted combine with "Bracers of Binding" quest... qeust helper pointed me at 21,61 - got there - got my ass kicked.

south at 18,75 there is a small amount of slaves patrolling around and summoners in the buildings,
go north to 21,61 and as u charge in on the first summoner u see u suddenly realize that theres £%^&ing loads of the slaves so just be warned ^^

very good place for getting these quests done quick if ur carefull so GL

I tried soloing this as a 33 Druid. I worked on it at least couple hours. The 12 Slaves were easy as you can pull them singly. The Summoners, on the other hand are quite difficult. They seem to have at least two together, or two other guards with them. You might have to walk around the dome a bit, but you need to find a ruin where just one is pacing. Patience is the key. Pull any slaves or guards away first and kill them. I found they just about always leave an opening for you to pull them in 1's or if you get too close sometimes 2's. If at any time you see two casters throwing at you, time to run for cover and try again. Once the guards and slaves are dispatched, you then need to rush the Summoner. He has lots of tools in ranged combat, but is relatively easy to kill up close.

Obviously a group makes this whole process much much easier, but sometimes one isn't available.

Descrição

The wizards of Dalaran constructed a vast, magical dome around the heart of their city. Some believe it was for protection from the violence of these times, while others say they merely wanted solitude, to study and plot.

I don't care what the reason was. I do care that the ruined outskirts of their city may hide valuable magical treasures.

But the area is patrolled by the wizards and their elemental slaves.

So hunt them, and return when their numbers are sufficiently reduced.
