The Quest is is Crystalsong forest you can find the trees near The Great Tree

If you fly below dalaran and turn west you'll have no problem finding it, the oaks are at a big tree. And you don't actually have to target the trees to cut them down just use the axe when you're near them.

You get 2 Rough Hewn Planks for each chop so you only need to chop 6 times.

When you chopped down a Carvalho do Canto Cristalino, a hostile Espírito de Carvalho Irritado would spawn and attack you. (Between the haunted wood and Ulduar stone, the coliseum will need a visit from the Ghostbusters.)

Note: Unlike most of the other Tournament dailies, this was strictly for gold. You received no reputation nor were there any seals rewarded.

Fastest way to get to the quest area is to use the teleport crystal in Dalaran to get down to Crystalsong. The quest trees are a few yards to the NW from the Teleport Crystal on the ground.

Fly too 14,45 in Crystal song. Find a big green tree which is target able called Crystalsong Oak.
Use your Lumberjack's Axe (quest item) and chop the tree down.

Be prepared for a elemental tree to attack.

Look for the Crystalsong Oak - hover your mouse over the trees at the base of The Great Tree and you'll find them :)

if you're a druid, remember to use your flightform as fast as you can when you are finished choping a oak. this will prevent you from getting in combat with the treant and make your questing go alot easyer "im a resto druid so trust me, my dps sux xD"

I wonder, (though probably incorrectly - haven't done any research on it), is it possible the stone and lumber dailies are server-progression oriented? Much like when Isle of Quel'Danas was released in BC, dailies served to progress the server, unlocking more locations and quests.
From what it looks like, the Coliseum isn't complete yet, still under construction. Could it be, to complete the Coliseum and thus unlock more dailies, we need to collect lumber and stones?

This quest does not actually require you to be level 80 to accept or complete, I just finished it on my level 77 hunter.

I found this easy as an 80 mage. Just chop a tree, cast frost nova to freeze the mob, then run to the next and repeat if it's cooled down. If it isn't cooled down, jet it as soon as you get the wood. Repeat it for a while and invis if you want to to despawn the mobs. Frost armor would help to slow down the spirits if they reach you.

Even if you don't freeze/slow them, you can get enough of a head start to chop down the next tree without interruption.

The trees spawn pretty fast between each falling, so if your lazy (like me) you can stand at the same tree and spam your axe to grab it as soon as it spawns. Works well on high population times, when everyones after them.

And they said trees arent a renewable resourse... pfft.

Has anyone considered that this quest, along with the one with the stones could have something to do with building the huge Argent tournament arena? I mean like when we were winning Quel'Dranas, we should be doing the same daily over and over to get to the next stage or level. I thought this would be somewhat the same, however the goblins give no "We are close to reaching our goal" or "We've gained 65% of the materials we need".

And for all of you who enjoy running around the forrest with your axe chopping down the trees.

What is the purpose of this daily other than money and maybe a chance at variety when the old dailies r getting redundant? Seems we get no rep or Seals

Hunters, make this EZ mode

On your first tree, Feign Death, and the spirit despawns. Move to the next.
On your second tree, sack your pet on the spirit and move on.
On your third, have a Freezing Trap dropped and move on.

Rinse and repeat.

Want to know what I realize is this quest is glitched or something. Here is why! When get the Quest Complete you can keep chopping down the trees as much as you want to get the lumber. i got 4 days worth of lumber and it only took me like 20mins to get it. So what that means is you get the quest then turn around and turn it back in.

easy as a priest. Saw down first tree, DP +SW:P tree and run to next tree. PW:S and saw down tree. cast dots when necessary and PW:S yourself before sawing trees.

Total time it takes to do this daily is running to the trees.

Nice tip for druids that use quartz (or any latency cast bar detector)

when you hit your axe button and start casting the ''chopping'' action, hit your flight form button during the latency part of the cast (red part at the end).

It will enable you to take flight with your 2 planks before entering combat with the treant. You will probably still get hit once, but just go maybe 20 yards in the air (to exit combat) and go to your next tree to chop. With a little practice (by the 2nd time i was doing this quest) i had mastered the timing perfectly and i never have to fight the treants. Chop, bird form, go up a bit, go to next tree. the whole quest takes maybe 45 seconds with this trick.

This quest item can be gathered past its quest requirement limit.

Very useful tip for people that don't like to fly south just for these planks. I just chopped 3 stacks (60) of them in about 3 minutes (flight form trick).

I was wondering yesterday why i had 2 leftover. It's because i chopped 14 and turned in the quest. Today i tried to abuse it and it is indeed working. 60 planks will last you for 5 dailies. (Unless fixed in future patch of course.)

Edit: no the items will not despawn from inventory when dailies reset. I had my 2 leftovers from yesterday this morning.

2 hot tips for young players:

You can chop as much wood as you want on one day, so that the next day you have enough to instantly hand it back in. I harvested enough for 3 days to avoid flying back there.

Also, as a hunter with resourcefulness, you can chop one down and lay a trap, then go to the next one - chop it and feign death. By the time you get to the third one your traps will be off again. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah yeah, Im aware that this comment will get purged to the bowels of WowheadHell for mentioning the game, but this quest does remind me of my pitiful Runescape days. Carelessly chopping wood, randomly getting attacked by the tree random event...

While it may not be a reference, Im sure Im not the only former RS player to get reminded of those days from a quest like this.

Anyways, downrate on! Im sure a lot of you will to protect your ultraleet WoW rep, the kind of people that can't admit that they used to play the game too.

If your a druid with Cold Flying you can go into Flight Form just as you finish chopping to avoid aggro of tree spirits

this quest is particularly easy for druids because they can flight form before the tree spawns just be fore they are done chopping the oak down and then just fly away to the next tree(i found this out by myself btw.)

This Daily quest is no longer available due to patch 3.2 live and nor is the npc quest giver to the left of this one giving daily: A Chip Off the Ulduar Block . Both are officially gone do to the building built and hosting the new dungeon.

All quest items pertaining to this daily and the daily itself is safe to delete.

Ok this quest is easy - look on your map in Crystalsong Woods and you see the picture of a tree to west. Cut the trees down and you recieve 2 pieces of wood, and a nice treant add too with about 12k hp, not hard to kill. That's it.

The Crystalsong oaks are all around The Great Tree (13,32) in Crystalsong Woods and easy to spot. After chopping them down a tree spirit will appear and attack but they are easy kills.

This coliseum requires more lumber than we've stockpiled and there's no way I'm going to pay to have it shipped in from Grizzly Hills. At the western end of Crystalsong Forest, by the Great Tree, grow a number of young Crystalsong oaks. They'd provide just the kind of planking we need for building and scaffolding. Take this axe, use it to fell the trees and then hew them into planks, but don't let anyone see you!]
