That quest drove me crazy cuz i coudn't find the Lithe Stalker, he is just behind the quest giver, if you completed the previous quest.

You have to use the "Leap" abylity (number 1) jumping up the mountain to reach the stone gargoyles. (Some gargoyles needs to be hitted twice to count)

all around the area of 60,75 if you look up you will see the gargoyles. jump up the cliff walls... this takes a bit of practice. you might fall a couple of times. =)

just go up to them and use the command " Heave " ..this will kill them. and as Merdento said... sometimes you have to use this command twice to kill them.

You don't have to run or jump back after you done this quest, just leave the vehicle control and you'll be returned to where you take control of the stalker.

To get up to ledges that are very close to you so that you can't target the horizontal surface, just target the edge with leap and hold forward,the gheist should get up there anyway without falling off.

This quest rocks... You've got about a 40 yard jump range so;
1) Click "Leap"
2) You'll see the standard "green" targeting circle.
3) Move it to your desired location.
4) Left Click. After a few leap I found out maximum distance is the easiest way to cruise.
5) When you are in range of a gargoyle, leap right on it.
6) Use your "heave" command. I had a couple of instances where I had to hit heave twice, but otherwise this is a breeze.

I saw that you have to wait about a second before you hit 3, or Heave, therefore you only have to hit it once.

i think this lithes that you controle is quiet amazing, the fact that the leap ability is amazing itself they can also leap IN AIR...
like a double jump :D

Do not get fooled by the Heave ability tooltip (has devistating effects on gargoyles in stoneform)
Gargoyles are made out of stone, so the gargoyles DO NOT need to be in stoneform, you can shatter any of the gargoyles in the area, if you fail just wait untill the cooldown is finished and try again

I've tried to Heave about 7 Gargoyle's now and it's told me every single one is Immune.
Anyone either...
a) Got the same problem?
or
b) Know how to fix it?

EDIT: Just in case anyone else experiences this problem, I went back to vereth & got a new Geist and it seemed to fix it = )

Well. I manage to accept the quest and then log off.. so i got no idea what you are talking about. is this some kind of transformation? make this easy for me please =)

I don't know if anyone else notice this but when i had control of the lithe stalker i kept my own shadow.
I was in druid flight form when i clicked the orb and the stalker had a birdy shadow!

I also noticed sometimes you may have to click heave twice for it to work!

This macro works great for being able to target the ledges above you.
To use it copy and paste that into a macro assign it to a key on the action bar and press it...then scroll your mouse wheel down (if thats what your camera zoom out button is)

In order to succeed at Heave in one go, you have to be outside of their selection circle.. at least that's what worked for me. Maybe you do have to wait a second after you select the thing for Heave to work properly.

I was having issues destroying the gargoyles, then I noticed when you targeted them there was a blue targetting circle that appears under them and then shrinks down to nothing. Waiting till that blue targeting circle was gone and then heaving I got the kill every time with one shot.

This quest was bugged for me when I 1st tried it. After abandoning and picking it back up again, it worked just fine.
This quest can also be done at the same time as and (which are Argent Tournament daily quests).

Im sold... definitely one of the better quest chains. So fun I'd even say this race should get on board w/ Horde, or ally... or both. All I know is I want one cuz THESE GUYS CAN PARTY!

When you target the gargoyles and you get a 'INVALID TARGET' line:

'leave' your current Lithe stalker and activate a new one; this will solve this problem.

[Gargoyles make effective scouts and can be deadly if left to rain attacks from the air, but they have a very obvious weakness. Most of them have to go through long periods resting as stone to maintain the energy they need to carry their heavy bodies through the air.

As I peered through the eye you were using, I noticed dozens of iceskin sentries resting on the eastern and southern walls inside. Use the stalker to leap up to their ledges and devastate them while they sleep.]
