You don't need to kill any bosses to do this quest. As you enter RFK, turn right and go down by a thorn, where you can see lots of boars. Clear this path to reach Willix.
But normally, you do all bosses then get this escort.

You can find this quest below razerflank - if you're doing the whole instance, you'll kill razerflank, jump off behind her kill your way to the ten on the little hill.

The escort quest is there. It's a pretty easy one, nothing horrible is spawned just a couple extra boars here and there.

If you're alliance make sure you talk to the Dead looking nelf on the floor, he's got a quest for you.

be aware this quest is not sharable!
i was once with a goup and i was the only one knowing about the quest, and when i informed the group about this and all of us dropped down and like 10 elites attacked us all, i was the only one who died (lvl 28 SPriest). untill i got back the rest of the party took the quest and Willix started to walk and i could not take the quest as is not sharable!

you are suppose to talk to him just after u killed the last mobs that attack him and the group(at the instance`s entrence), by the time I realized that i wuz in ratchet :))

This quest does not count for Loremaster of Kalimdor credit because it is turned in inside the instance.

This quest gave me 10950 xp today , however 7300 of it was through recruit-a-friend bonus..

Is the base XP reward nerfed? :/

For some reason i can't complete this quest. after leading him to the entrance he stops and question mark remains grey.
Any suggestions?

me i got the quest though i was HATED with ratchet cause my friend shared it... at the end i killed the guy before he could turn in

I just completed this quest and it DID count towards the Loremaster of Kalimdor achievement.

Soloable as a 36 enhance shaman with 3 BOA pieces. Jumped off after Razorflank, cleared the quillboars after grabbing the necklace quest, then started the escort because I wasn't sure which way he turned (it's left, by the way) to clear. It's much, much easier if you try to pull the boars to you before he aggros because most of them will pull one by one, but he will grab them all. Three times extra boars will spawn, usually when he says something.

Yeah, I did the same thing. Left the instance and then later looked to see who I complete the quest with. Realized it was from him, which also threw me for a loop. :P

What The Deuce blizz. Is there any other escourt quest where upon completion you get the reward from inside the instance. zomg im freakin pissed off. oh well goodbye quest im not doin that crap again.

If Blizzard end up reading this, please fix the quest so that you can get the reward from a normal npc in ratchet, when willix said he was heading to ratchet I was sure I needed to go to ratchet to finish the quest. Meh, luckily I'm not too high a level to do it again, still annoying

You don't have to meet him where he was before. Talk to him a second time before leaving the instance.

After escorting him to the end, I couldn't complete the quest. The quest bubble was grey. I'm goinng back there and killing him ;-p

Not only did I get the quest at 31, I luckily didn't leave the instance. Then the guy appeared and I got my ring and 3650 xp. :) It is awkward to complete it right there when he's talking about Ratchett. Guess I got lucky.

Erm... got to the end of the instance after escorting him, and for some reason it wont let me complete the quest it just goes "Help Me Out" even thou the end is right there!

Got the agility ring for my Enhancement Shaman. Just gotta take Willix just to the edge of the portal out to the barrens, where he will get a yellow question mark over his head, after which you get the ring right away from him. Just make sure everyone in your group is close to him when you finish it, or they might fail this awesome quest :)

Beware if someone in your party is Hated with Steamwheedle. My 70 friend was escorting me and as soon as I completed the quest, the goblin attacked my friend and he killed it... >.>

You can never have too much agility; the bonuses (crit, dodge, etc) are why we want AGI; what are you going to do with your +STR bonuses, block more with your shield?

Well, for me the quest was for nothing, after I completed the quest, he rand away to attack a mob and after that he dissapeared lol.

I did not turn in the quest right away. Some of the group left after it said complete some went back in to kill. Where can I turn in the quest now? Or Do I have to redo it?

Make sure not to get too far ahead of Willix or too far behind. If you do then your quest will fail even if he arrives safely.

15 years later and the quest is still so scuffed you can be standing on top of him and the quest bugs out and doesn't complete.

You have no clue how long I've been held prisoner here. I can't remember the last time I saw the outside of this place.
