With the new stats in 2.3 these pants go from being disenchant-trash to being among the best cloth pants for the level, especially for shadow priests who can put all that spirit to good use.

From the 2.4 patch notes:

"The On Use effect has been properly changed to passive for the following items: Blue Overalls, Brantwood Sash, Firewalker Boots, Gloves of Kapelan, Hellion Boots, Hibernal Gloves, Hibernal Pants, Kimbra Boots, Mistscape Gloves, Nightsky Trousers, Sacred Burial Trousers, Turquoise Sash, and Woolen Boots, Spinesever."

Mystery solved :)

Blizz messed up when changing these pants. They have Use: instead of Equip: therefore you don't get the 6 spelldmg bonus from them.

Comentário de Thottbot

Ya, there doesn't seem to be any way to "Use" them, so the pants are totally worthless.

Too bad, because they would have been pretty nice otherwise.

I can confirm that you can get the +6 spell/+6 heal effect on equip if you enchant these leggings with an armor kit. Make sure you remove the item and then re-equip it to get the effect. When you first do this, you'll see the trousers do a "cool-down" effect, then you get the sweet-sweet +6.

I admit I was sweating this one, but using an armor kit definitely does the trick.

(So stop worrying!)

Hmm, isn't that use function supposed to be equip? I can't actually use these pants either so they're pretty much like some crappy "of the whale" pants

I don't get the 5 agility on cloth trousers, unless wands counts as "ranged weapon"; then it would increase the crit chance...
