I manged to solo this as a warlock, I failed a few times due to the slowing spell, so I used my felhunter and created this macro;

/target Pherry (replace with your character's name)
/cast Devour Magic
/targetlasttarget

Whenever I got slowed I simply used this macro to dispell it. Make sure devour magic is off autocast and don't use dark pact to drain your pets mana. I just ran laps around the platform with three dots up and kept recasting them until he/she dropped dead.

lol i soloed this as a lvl 75 arcane mage.... and that was not easy =D died 3 times, after that i entirely plotted my kiting way, cleared the entire area of the necromages, and kited him accros the roof dealing as much damage possible (while getting hit a bit after a while), jumping (with slowfall) to the second floor(gives you about 10 seconds time before hes in your reach again), evocation, kiting again doing as much damage possible, jump to the first floor, first aiding, kited to the outside, find out i forgot one spider, who dazes me right after blink... so using all my cooldowns i kill them both... 50 health and 200 mana left... but i totally soled it =D ,oh yeah, blink can be your foe or your enemy here, as it sometimes makes you stay on the same spot because of the crappy area....

Soloed this as a 78 protection warrior, I flew up to him and tanked him right where he was. Pretty easy, get out of the fire, spell-reflect at random (I reflected Wavering Will almost every single time by chance lol. I just shield bashed raging shadows, kept shouts up, sundered and shieldslam/revenged. Basic stuff. Kept myself up with Enraged Regeneration, I am an herbalist too, so I used Lifeblood along with that. Not very hard at all.

I attempted to solo this as a level 76 assassination Rogue.

My strategy was to do as much damage for my first cheap shot and kidney shot, then evasion and CoS and do as much damage blowing all my cooldowns. After CoS ran out I kicked and since I'm a BE Arcane torrent the casts, and stay out of the fire. I let myself get hurt a couple times and jumped to the second floor and used a runic potion and ran to meet Malas on the ramp. Malas is at about 40% at this point so this is were I started to kite a bit. I would get 5 combo points making sure to stay out of the fire and kick the casts I could and when CoS was back use it only to get out of the slow. I would walk him up the stairs and jump back to the 2nd floor so I could bandage. I tried this about 5 times with no luck, but I always got him down to about 10%. The one time I thought I might have had him I got too far away and he reset. If you attempt this make sure to kill the Necromagus in the room below and the one patroling the ramp. I also stacked Hunger for Blood up 3 times before beginning, but did not replenish it.

I'm sure with this strategy and a bit of luck you other assassination rogues could kill him solo. It was the slow that would cause me to die most of the time, so on my last attempt I exchanged a trinket with my Medallion of the Horde to remove it.

Luckily, right as I was about to began my last attempt a couple of alliance came to kill him and through the glory of emotes I got them to help me.

Soloed as an enhancement Shaman, Feral Spirit will do the trick. Pop your totems, and send in your dogs - And blow off all cooldowns including Heroism.

Remember to get out of the fire.

Soloed as a lvl 76 Demo/Destro lock (0/51/16)...ezmode just like most of the 2-3 man elites for this spec. Just use your Voidwalker to tank him and keep CoA, Corruption, and Immolate up while channeling Health Funnel as needed to keep your pet alive. Pop Demonic Empowerment right before you start and you can add in some shadow bolts and maybe a shadowflame depending on how far behind your VW you stay in threat.

Just try to keep right behind your pet and before you know it you win!

Soloed this as a 76 prot war. Had 4k health left when it died. Not a very difficult fight, make sure you eat some stamina food and battle/guardian elixir would help too. Yes its stunnable, so stun it whenver possible. Make sure to keep yourself away from the fire. It does around 500dmg a tick if you stay in there.

Soloed as a 76 blood DK. Very, very easy. Just silence him when he casts and stay out of the fire and you're good.

Edit: But get out fast, he respawns pretty quick. He respawned while I was writing that and killed me, so I guess you could still die to him..

Solo'd this as a 75 BM Hunter. No snazzy macros needed. Just let pet tank, you heal. I had to cast Lick Your Wounds to heal pet once but never even had to Heart of the Phoenix. Hard mob, but any class can solo.

As stated before, enter Kolramas, look right, go up ramp and wrap all the way around until you see him on the top. Loc 61.0, 77.3

pretty much impossible as a 75 frost mage, I managed to get him down to about 6k changing aggro with my water elemental and kiting around as best I could. cant slow him in anyway, but deep freeze will work off finger of frost procs. My advice for frost mages, get a partner

Soloed as a lvl 77 Demo lock, easymode, flew on top of the Kolramas place, sent felguard in, demonic empowerement once, regular curses and dots, and just kept felguard alive untill he had about 20K hp left, then full nuke and down he went.

Kiting really isn't necessary, as an affliction lock. Am level 76, as haunt/soul link, with 1550+ damage and 13k hp. All I had to do was through haunt, my other dots, and drain tank him/her. Finished the fight with 4k hp left, no pet, and oom even after pulling a necromagus as well.

I'd like to say that this isn't impossible to solo as a 75 frost mage, however it is very unlikely.

Everything went my way when I tried, my warlock healthstone (from a previous group) even crit, but I was ONE spell short of a killing blow.

So, for those of you who love a good challenge, this elite is just that... a very tough challenge. With the right coordination and luck you can do this.

Some hints...

If you have a Thunder Capacitor, try to get it at 3 charges before the fight for some extra damage.
Always move out of the fire, and have your pet move out as well. I did this by clicking "passive" so he started running back to me, and once out of the fire, I just made him attack again.
Evocate after jumping down or Bandage, and do this fast because you have barely enough time to accomplish either before he is on you again.
Deep Freeze him when Finger of Frost procs, this (and impact if you have it) will be your only way of slowing him down.

Again, this fight is not impossible. You just need skill, wits, and some luck to get those crits and procs. Good luck!

75 balance drood. easy solo, started with treants and kept moonfire and insect swarm on him at all times. kept movin so he hardly hit me. wen u go for a heal, pop a potion. go all out on him cus remember u have an innervate. whenever the CD on typhoon expires, send him back a notch. it keeps him from hittin u too much. HE IS IMMUNE TO ROOTS! dont make the same mistake i did. so all u feral druids out there try usin a full maim to heal. i think u can stun him with that. or bash if u have decent spellpower to heal fast

Soloed as 77 Unholy, wasn't too bad, but the silence when you can't catch it can lay a hurting on ya.. Staying out fo the fire is a big help, just spam Death Strike when you're low.. Pop a potion when you're on CD & you should be good.. Just watch out for the blasts.. She/he did me in when she croaked, did a knock back took me off the building.. Sadly ate dirt, but lived during the fight..lol

Really easy to solo as a feral druid of equal level, I blew a pot but I wan't using all that I could (I only bash healed the second time)
things I found, he's not maimable even though he is stunable, he's also not rootable.

Catform for a 5point rip, bearform for a bash --> regrowth rejuv LB, catform again, rinse repeat.

Soloed as 80 resto druid in instance blues, couple pieces of heroic gear. He got me down under 10% once due to an untimely stun, but other than that it wasn't terrible, and I did get him on the first try. Keep Moonfire up and at least two HoTs up, move around a lot, try not to use anything with a long cast time (I tried to use Starfire for a while, but he seemed to be saving his stun for it).

solo'd as 75 restoration shaman.

it's easy, use a lightning bolt, flame shock, lava burst and repeat. At 50% mana or so pop the mana tide totem and then a mana pot again (for good measure) at 25% mana. Keep the earth shield going and you should have no problem if you're competent enough to stay out of fire.

Also a note for all shamans, the fire elemental, as I had expected, didn't mind the fire too much.

Solo'd as 77 Holy Paladin with 12.2k HP / 13.7k MP. It was hard and I died once, but I used Devo aura with Devo libram, Kings and a buff food I had with 30 stam and critical. Basically you have to kite her around the area like some others have said. Hammer of Justice is a must. I also judged with light alot and evenutally wisdom because I needed extra mana. I popped all the healer cooldowns and did use Avenging Wrath. It took a good 3-4 minutes and I came close to dying often. But it's doable.

Couldn't solo as a 77 combat Rogue either. I got really close (about 30% on average) but was unable to. A friend told me how he solo'd him as a combat Rogue but I was not able to. Here was his strategy: (which requires one bandage)

CS, SnD, BF, SS (until 5 points), Rupture, AD, SS (until 5 points which is much quicker this time around), Kidney Shot, Bandage, Killing Spree then Evasion and finish him off.

You should also be kiting him around the building structure, and avoiding the little holes around.

Good luck, because it never worked for me.

Woot woot! just soloed with 76 survival hunter :P

had a wolf pet with misdirection & mend pet ticking on it just before i sent him in... used rapid fire, & since im troll, beserking too... used explosive shot whenever it was ready, serpent sting, & then spammed steady shot

i let him melee me a bit to give my pet some time to heal with mend pet... i made sure i avoided the fire spells & i threw immolation traps all over the place so that i could proc lock & load

After a while, i feigned death so that he focused on my puppy again & i decided to just throw everything i had at him from there on :)

Hope my experience with this guy helped any of you other hunters out there! :)

This mob is easy to solo as a 77 BM hunter. Didn't have to kite or slow. I had Rak'shiri for a pet, just open with Misdirection, and unload your Beastial Wrath, Rapid Fire, Rabid, and trinkets if you have (I had Death Knight's Anguish & Horn of Argent Fury). At around 60% i had to Feign Death, and again at about 20% I Shadowmelded. Just keep distance from your pet so you get the ping pong bounce going, always keep mend pet up, and keep not just yourself but also your pet out of the fire and it should be cake. No pots or bandages used, but i did have 20% crit and just over 2k ap with Blessing of Zim'Torga tho it seems this should be about expected for wrath lvling gear.

Just soloed this as a lvl 76 Prot Pally. I buffed up, ran to him and immediately stunned him while I got off Consecration, Shield of Righteousness and and cast a Holy Shield on myself. Whenever he cast his fire, I just moved backwards, back down the path. I kept stunning him when I needed to heal and only ended up using one mana pot. He really only hit me for about 300-600 physical damage, but the fire is what you really have to watch out for. That will tick off your health pretty fast. He respawned in about 4 minutes. Soloed as a newly-76 mutilate rogue (so dagger skill a level low). Cheap shot, kidney shot then blow your CB-mut and a second mut in the KS, if you have imp-KS for the 10% extra damage. Then evasion, rupture or SnD (your call), go nuts. When you drop evasion, wait a couple more seconds and you can KS again for 6s. I used a super health pot, lifeblood and the heroism trinket from the UC battle.

Just make sure to kick/gouge his casts and move out of the fire. I don't know if he's blindable or not, but if he is, that's your time to bandaid. But he's doable without blinding =)

Easy going as a blood specced DK...just get into your Deff Equip, it is not necessary to use Frost Presence, Standart PS IT HS HS DS Rotation should keep you up throughout the entire Fight.

If you need to, use Mark of Blood, Vampire Blood etc. but you should find it to be unnecessary, as this guy hits like a carebear =)

Stay out of his FireZones, and interrupt any Casting.

Oh, by the way, i want to say "THANK YOU!" to the blizzard quest-reward-design-team for creating a quest, easily soloable for any DK, but wiith completely useless rewards except for casters...thanks. -.-

They must have changed this in the latest patch, because as a frost mage 78 I could not solo him, he can't be slowed down and therefore kited, even when I blinked he caught up with me very fast and started pounding while I had the slowing debuff and couldn't go anywhere. I only got him down to 50%. He also resets if you jump down to the lower level, so don't attempt it.

Just solo'd as a level 77 Blood Elf Prot Paladin, armory here.

Not easy, per se, but very doable. I have fairly good gear for my level, and about 19k HP unbuffed. Preparation is key. Make sure you have Sanc on, as the fight takes time, and you WILL go OOM without it. Fire resistance aura is the best bet, as the ground-targetted fire spell he uses will destroy you. Make sure you move out of it when he casts it. Use a simple tanking rotation with Avenger's shield and Exorcism mixed in for added DPS, and Consecrate removed for mana efficiency.

Aside from that, bring the highest level bandage you can use, and a health and mana pot. I did not use Lay on Hands, so even that is a viable option for surviving this. Save your bubble cooldown for the very end of your health and then Divine Shield + bandage, then pop the pot, and a heal, and you're set. Not terribly hard, just be prepared.

76 Arcane Mage, keep up slow and spam ABarr. First time he kept slowing me down, had to reset it, but second time he never cast it on me at all, was an easy, if somewhat long and tedious, process. Keep moving, stay out of the blazes...if he does slow you, blink.

Easily soloable on a 78 Unholy DK...

> Hoist your pet before the fight.
> Throw up Horn of Winter and Bone Shield...

> MAKE SURE to silence his "Raging Shadows" spell.
> Stay out of any aoe fire he throws down.

> Throw up Icebound Fortitude and Lichborne (if you have it) for avoidance.

Just keep cycling your main skills while holding up your diseases and blood strikes. With all the extra dps from your secondary skills this shoulding be a problem. I finished the fight at 70% health with no heal items or pots used.

I had decent gear, nothing special. Alternated using HoJ and Holy Wrath to keep him stunned up as much as possible. Bubbled when needed to, used Lay on hands when needed to, pretty much used every cd I had & a health pot, but made it through with about 2k health.

What makes the difference between do or die for a class with a controllable pet you'll be using for tanking (hunter, warlock, etc).

Keep your pet out of the fire patches that spawn (using attach-follow commands). The fight becomes trivial beyond that.

Easily solo'd as a level 74 demon spec Warlock.

Sent in Felguard, popped Demonic Empowerment to build aggro.

Kept rotation up of Immolate, Corruption, CoA. Used Health Funnel to maintain Felguard health. Maintained aggro around 84% (in-game threat #).

Easy, and great legging reward.

77 Prot Warrior. Pretty easy. Died first time I tried because I wasn't observant enough to get out of the fire quickly, also it was important to use Spell Reflection and Shield Bash as often as possible. Had to Last Stand and Frenzy Regeneration but other than that not too hard of a fight.

Just solo'd as a level 74 shadow priest.

I had under 9k HP and only ~1000SP, so if you're coming from 70 with nice gear then this will be even easier.

I opened easy with dots and tossed in my shadow fiend in the same time to act as a temp tank. By the time I got off my hard casts he was heading towards me, so I started kiting around the ring there. Keep the dots coming and toss in SW:D where needed to bridge the time between dots to make sure he doesn't reset.

Biggest thing to keep up with is the dispelling of his slow effect, and to never be caught in that stun. If you get in a tough spot, that's when to use dispersion, but you should be able to stay out of his range if you're quick enough with the dispels.

Soloed as lvl77 Arcane Mage. The first try was tragedy, the 2nd was success. Used one Mana Gem, Evocation(Glyph was the trick), Bandage, 2x Arc.Power.
Before:
-I killed everything in the room below and the path to him.
-Just before i engaged him, i popped Slow Fall and every trinket/dmg boost i got.

In the fight:
-3x AB - AM. He was hitting me, but didnt matter so much.
-Start running and popping my instants, when i first got the slow debuff i jumped. Slow fall was on still.
-Evocation to regen mana/hp, while sitting in the back of the room
-When he appears, 2xAB +Barrage, Blink and popping instants, while running to the top again. IB for a moment for my blink cd, slow and fire makes you sad.
-I reached top again, jumped down again. Popped gem+bandage
-He came, i used my 2xAB +AM and he died. Around 40% hp 20% at the end of the fight.

The whole trick is to get advantage of the room below.

Btw, it's getting annoying to see comments on every grp boss like " Soloed it as XY lvl pala/Dk /flex"
Ofc you can solo them, no need to spam it in every boss. Challenge on soling these bosses exists only for non-Pala/Dk Characters.

Soloable as a level 76 Frost DK. Used up Unbreakable Armor, Icebound Fortitude, Death Pact and my https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=44597 with about 2k out of 11k hp left. Interrupt his casts when possible and get out of Burning Blaze. Death Strike whenever possible and keep diseases up at all times.

Look at your own HP bar, not his/hers.

Soloable as a level 80 Fire Mage (yes it probably wasn't a wise decision)

Started with pyro then scorch, living bomb at which I got an impact proc so I used it. Blast Wave DOES knock him back but dragons breath doesnt CC him. I had blazing speed proc so I probably got lucky and was able to kite him easier, used Mirror Image by which time Blast Wave and Dragons Breath had recharged so I used DB > Flamestrike, Blast Wave > Flamestrike and I finished him with a hot streak proc :D, with little health or mana left.

Solo'd as a 77 fire mage.

Mage Armor is definitely the most useful option for this fight.
Combined with 1/2 Magic Absorption, I resisted quite a few of his casts.
Cutting down the duration of his slow helped stay ahead of him.
Extra mana regen helped enough that I downed him using just 1 charge of Mana Sapphire and no Evocation. Though I would suggest using the gem at the earliest chance in case you need the cooldown again near the end of the fight.

Dampen Magic to further reduce spell damage.
Used up some old stam food + elixir to keep a safer margin. Chugged 1 super heal pot and ended the fight with 3k health. No time to bandage.

Start off with trinketed Fireballs x2 + Living Bomb. Then keep kiting while hitting him with all your instants: Living Bomb, Fire Blast, Ice Lance, Hot Streak procs. He's immune to Frost Nova's snare, so Blink whenever it's off cooldown. The worst thing that can happen is he dazes you, at which point it's best to Slow Fall down. He can easily catch up to you if you're lazy with movement. Typically when a kited mob stops to cast, I'll lob a fireball at them; for him, I kept moving even then to keep him from catching up.

At first I tried a top-bottom kiting strat. That failed due to los issues and him disengaging before he got to the room below. Simply circling around the ring he's on is perfectly workable. Just be careful where you blink as always. Good luck.

Lvl 76 feral druid.

Started with a berserk in stealth, then Pounce, mangle, savage roar and shred spam, rip.
Then bear form, refreshed mangle and stacked up Lacerate, poped Barkskin, Enrage and Frenzied regeneration.
Mauled and mangled after this and it died :)

No healing required.

Just solo'd as a level 76 Unholy DK.

Easy mode, just use Bone Armor/IBF when you're around half health and sacrifice your pet if you need to. Always use Death Strike, heals you for a ton. Also, keep moving to stay out of the fire and your diseases will slowly take Malas down.

BTW: Chains of Ice does NOT work on kiting (I learned this the hard way)

Soloed as a lvl 75 (yes yes, 75) hunter. The guy had 6 times more HP then i had and i still killed it! :O For all the other hunters, just remember to Mend pet every few seconds.

Thought I'd share.

You can solo this as a Warlock being Affliction.

What I did:

Use your Felhunter. Bind a macro to Devour Magic on yourself (see below for macro). Keep pet on Passive. Starting at Max Range, hit Malas with Haunt, then start kiting while putting up Corruption and Curse of Agony (CoA). Dispell yourself when she slows you with your Felhunter's Devour Magic. Keep kiting and keep up both Corruption and CoA. If Nightfall procs use it. After a few laps you'll have killed her.

It helps to have a PVP tinket just in case, but I did not need to use mine.

Fairly easy solo as a 76 frost mage, ended up with 40% hp after downing him, no pots or gem even.. I don't get why many mages here feel like they can't solo him.

Pop your water ele, have it start attacking Malas. Run to the other side and be at max distance from him while your pet tanks for a couple seconds. Don't let him tank too long or he'll die before you can pull aggro off him.

Pop a trinket + icy veins, unload on him with everything you've got. I got a FoF proc, so I stunned and FB+IL+IL and had him at about 40 % hp before he even got to me.

Keep casting until your ice barrier and mana shield breaks, then ice block. He should run back to your pet, unblock, put up ice barrier, and go at it again. At this point I cold snapped, pulled out another elemental, and kited him in a circle around the top of the place (fire blast, ice lance).

Once hypothermia is up, ice block again so he runs back to your pet. Then unblock, and pop your other trinket and icy veins, and he should be dead before he runs back to you.

Pretty easy as a surv hunter lvl 74. You can kite him around the circle platform thingy where he is at. Be careful and don't fall down.I recommend you kill the one spider mob so if you do fall down u can get back up quick . If you fall feign and heal pet. Then run back up. Your pet will die but u can now kite around again.

His fire attack from range doesn't effect cheetah. I couldn't do this on my rogue took me one try as a hunter.

just solo'd him as lvl 77 RESTO druid. Took about 15 mins, but it's a very easy fight if you stay out of the fire and keep rejuv and lifebloom rolling (let LB expire every time to get some mana back). With improved thorns from balance it prolly would've been a bit faster.

The new innervate also makes the mana issues a lot less as you're able to use it more often, and still get back to pretty much full mana.

Be sure to have som decent/good heal gear, mine was quest green/blues (I try to keep my heal set up to date with my dps set)

Don't forget to auto attack as tree, I forgot that ;)

Solo'ed as a lvl 75 feral druid with ~16-17k hp in bear form. Start with a Pounce in cat form, gain as many CP's as u can during the stun. Once the stun fades, cast Rip and go bear form. When you drop at HP, just Bash him and jump out - give yourself a Rejuv and a Regrowth (and Lifebloom if you got time left) and then go back. Simply repeat, and he will die after a min or two. Good luck!

Easily solo'd as a level 80 Discipline specced priest. Geared though so an not very well geared level 80 priest may have trouble.

Move out of the fire as countless other posters have said! It's ticks around 1,000 every second or so as I noticed.

Course..... my cloth gear probably didn't help against fire eh? :P Your plate probably knocks it down to a 2 damage tick. haha

Soloed fairly easily as a 75 enhance shammy.

Use your earth elemental totem (to tank at first), windfury, healing stream, and a damage fire totem. Cast heroism right away. When your earth totem dies, put out your dogs. When they die, cast shamanistic rage, and watch your health, casting healing stream when your maelstrom weapon is at 5. When your wolves run out, he'll be almost dead anyways, so you shouldn't have too much trouble.

Edit: flametongue weapon on both weapons, earth shock, lava lash, stormstrike are the main skills that do most damage. Remember to keep a water shield on too.

Send void in and dot with everything you've got
Unstable Affliction, Corruption, CoA, Haunt, and Shadowflame when it comes to you
I didn't even bother to use Soulshatter cuz I knew ill pull it anyway
when health starts to sink
use void's Sacrifice, a health potion, Healthstone, and Death Coil when the dots are running out and make sure those dots are up all the time
when the mob is fully doted use life drain

It might come very close, but you should to able to kill it

Soloable as a TG warrior. Start off with as much rage as possible and full health from a nearby mob, zerker rage + death wish + recklessness + bloodrage, make sure the first two yellows are BT and WW, then just go all out. Interrupt his casting, and back up to get out of the fire. When you get to about half health, use enraged regeneration.

Solo'd as a DW Frost DK rather easily at level 76 in Unholy Presence.

Ghoul out at the start of the fight and just get into your max dps rotation, mind freezing his cast whenever it comes up. I didn't use either IBF, Anti-Magic Shell or Unbreakable Armor, though he did get me down to ~20% right before he died and forced me to Death Pact my ghoul. Didn't Death Strike either.

This is in BoA shoulders, trinketsx2 and chest, but regular leveling weapons.

Easy solo as 75 affliction warlock. I have ~1160sp with felhunter out but i could've continued that fight indefinitely even with less. Haunt, unstable affliction, corruption, CoA and then only stop for refreshing UA and Haunt. Life tap if your mana is a little low but healing should greatly outweigh his damage and life tap damage if you just run around the arena.

Soloable as a 74 prot warrior (mostly in blues from elite quests and few dungeon quests)
1) stay out of the fire
2) concussion blow/bandage, pot, last stand, shield wall to survive. I also had https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=44579.
3) shield bash every cast you can. I tried reflecting his AoE (not the best idea), and it didn't seem to do anything.

Tried it as prot, arms, then third time as prot was the charm. My arms attempt sank pretty quick...
He likes to stun you in the fire sometimes :)

Just soloed him as a lvl77 combat rogue. Not the most easiest elite for a rogue to solo, but if the Random Number God doesn't hate you, chances are that he'll go down sooner or later.

I started with CS -> AR -> 5CP KS. After that, I just threw everything I got at him (AP trinket + Blood Fury + Blade Flurry + Killing Spree is my favorite, I like to call it Turbo-Charged Killing Spree, although I don't recommend to use it with AR because of the wasted energy) and put Evasion up as soon as the stun ended, and after Evasion ended, I had 5CP KS ready for him.

I popped a potion at some point, I recommend having one with you. Remember to use CoS and Kick, I forgot the kicking part but thankfully CoS saved my sorry ass.

Oh and don't bother gouging him, he's immune to it.

Soloed as a 78 Combat-swords rogue.
Used evasion in conjunction with all my cooldowns, and used CloS to avoid a big shadowy burst.

Ended up killing him at the same time as he killed me. Was able to run back and loot the head.

just solod as a 76 fire mage. 934 spellpower, 11k health. buffs were mage armor, dampen magic, flask of chromatic wonder, and haste food buff (just what i had on me)

opened with pyroblast-scorch-living bomb and just ran around in circles jump shotting with ice lance to keep aggro (lost aggro just keeping LB up) blast waved if he got close, and rocket boots after his slow wore off to gain some space. just keep space in between and keep living bomb up. easy peasy. hope this helps someone

Soloable easily as a 76 ret paladin. Didn't have to blow bubble or hands---probably could have done it at 74-75 without too much trouble.

I do usually follow through on quests that give good gear though, so it may not be as easy if you're in all greens.

Soloed as a 77 ret pally, albeit after three failed attempts. The trick is to keep moving constantly to avoid his fire attacks, these will do massive damage if you're not careful. Cast your judgements, use divine storm and crusader strike whenever they're available, cast exorcism whenever art of war activates, all the while backstepping and jumping. Be careful not to fall off the structure though, as this will break aggro, allowing him to heal back to full health by the time you return to the top. You'll probably need to heal at some point during the fight, lay on hands is best for this, however if, like me, yours is on cooldown during the fight, simply cast bubble or stun him and cast holy light a couple of times. Make use of all three healing methods if necessary. Good luck!

Ok so this quest was a @#$%^.
78 Shadow Priest, bout 1.2k SP, 11k health, 13k mana.
Just applied Vampiric Touch, Devouring Plague, and Shadow Word: Pain, then put up Power Word: Shield, cast Mind Blast (for Replinishment), then run in circles. My biggest problem for this whole fight (well 2 biggest problems) was 1) not falling off the edge, and 2) not letting him reset. So keep DoTs up and try keep Replinishment on if you can, Disperse when you need to, and watch him die.
