Is the WotLK version of Bold Living Ruby. These shouldn't be to hard to obtain and have +6 more strength then Outland epics.

Very nice upgrade and will be worth changing out your outland epic gems in your T6 since most people will not be replacing T6 until level 78 or so.

These are pretty much the same as Bright Scarlet Rubies for melee DPS (1 Strength=2 Attack Power).

For tanks, though, these are better (assuming there isn't a better Red/Orange/Purple Gem available). The damage mitigated by a Warrior's/Paladin's shield is increased by Strength; Death Knights get 1 Parry rating for every 4 Strength they have (so this Gem is worth about 4 Parry Rating); Feral Druids currently don't have a defensive use for Strength at the moment, but Blizzard is planning on adding a Strength-based tanking ability in 3.1.

@Face01: I was actually thinking about the base benefit when I posted, but you're right (for some reason I always forget about buff/talent multipliers).

These are pretty much the same as Bright Scarlet Rubies for melee DPS (1 Strength=2 Attack Power).

A bright scarlet ruby isn't as strong as a bold scarlet ruby for plate DPS. A plate DPS will gain more attack power from socketing strength gems over just plain attack power gems. Point per point, the bold scarlet ruby give the same amount of AP as the bright scarlet ruby, but strength will scale with multipliers from talents and buffs like Blessing of Kings and Veteran of the Third War, while AP won't.
