You don't need two people, it's easily soloable. Just use the insult scroll at distance and run back across the river to the ambush. They will finish him off for you.

Seal of Light, Divine Storm, Consecration, Bjorn plus adds down:p
You don't have to lead Bjorn back to Lydell, it doesn't matter where you kill him as long as he dies.
He hits for about 800 on plate (~45% mitigation) and uses mortal strike alot.

We killed him just before the camp and didnt get update on kill .. kill him in the camp

Note that you don't have to have the tag on him to get credit. About ten of us were camping his spawn, take the insult from inventory and bind it to an easy-to-press key (1). I got the insult on him, someone else managed the tag, bunch of us did damage to him, I got credit, despite him being gray.

Did not get credit for killing him when we did to much dmg outside of the camp.
So pull him to camp then kill him.

Bjorn is immune to both Blood Plague and Frost Fever (or possibly just Icy Touch/Cold Damage). Death Knights attempting to solo him should be aware that their diseases will not be landing on him.

"Adding Insult To Injury"" is the name of a song from the album "A New Dawn for the Dead" by the british brutal death metal-band Gorerotted, now known simply as The Rotted. As we can see Blizzard has changed the sentence but the similarity is stunning.

The insult that is read to him (or at least the one I read to him, not sure if it differs between players) is: "Bjorns mottar haelgond sygar!" Which means, "Bjorns mother, Haelgond, sucks!"

This is supported by the fact that Bjorn responds by saying, "No one speaks of my mother in that manner!"

Just thought I might add this, although many probably figured this out for themselves.

He is around 64.39 in front of a big house riding a big dragon. Soloable, he is immune to pretty much everything except normal and magic damage. (immune to diseases, stun, fear).

Hunters beware: if you try to kite him around you will not complete the quest. If Bjorn doesn't stop for a second and start attacking he will not give you credit. Just pause for a moment to let him get in a swing or two.

Check the target-of-target. If he has you or your pet targetted, you're okay to kill him. Oh, and don't forget to pewpew. :)

Soloed him on my frost mage in s1 gear without any help from the npc. Just keep distance with Blink, and dont stay near your water elemental. If he gets close to you with Blink on cooldown just iceblock and he will run back to the elemental and start beating it. Then you can start nuking him again with frostbolts. He only has 36k hp so its not that hard once you know your mage tricks. ;)

Careful if you are going at this quest solo, I tried to and was easily pulling him back to the camp, when I go one extra Bonegrinder aggro. The NPCs attacked the Bonegrinder and I got killed by Bjorn.

If you have pets, place them on passive until you reach the camp.

K, I've killed him twice now, no joke. Each time I start by reading the note, then I lead him back to the ambush spot and kill him with the NPC's help, and both times I have not gotten credit for "insulting" nor for "killing" am I doing something wrong?

I kept having issues soloing him as a destro lock. He kept flying off in the middle of the fight, even at the camp. And since we are squishy it is hard to take a hit since it's usually MS or it dazes you. So what I did was to kite him to the camp. Had a voidwalker on passive. Once he aggros the npc, soulshatter, have the voidwalker taunt. If he is still on ya, then sac void for some protection. All the while you aren't really doing any dmg. At that point, the npc will gain aggro and you can dps and get the quest complete

I just solo'ed him as a 69 BM Hunter. I followed the insult and run rule and it worked well for me. I ran all the way back to the ambush site and they killed him v easily, I took part in the kill also. Just one thing make sure you kill all mobs about him before you insult him. I add my pet on def to start with just to get him to follow then about the lake turned him passive.

Note that, for me at least, you have to land one hit on him before Lydell and company will attack him.

68 Orc DK - frost & blood spec. Dead but not released is fine for completion. I easily outran him to the camp.

Be prepared, you will have all the aggro, which means that you will most probably die before him. But dont worry, you get the credt even if you are dead.

I didn't read the quest description and assumed after you do the insult, it like makes him un-elite and you take him. So I go up there and insult him then accidentally end up soloing him. I'm a prot warrior and only used Shield block. I was wondering why it seemed so hard lol. Read the quest when i finished to see if i did something wrong. Oh well, it was worth the 2k+ exp. I got credit for the kill and finished the quest contrary to other comments here.

If you get killed (and believe me that's a very real possibility -- he's a level 70 elite), don't release your spirit until AFTER the npc's kill him. I got killed at least 5 or 6 times. Each time I would release my spirit and try to run back before the fight was over. Each time he was already dead when I got there, and I got no credit. Finally, I stayed around after I got killed, just to see what the npc's would do. Even though I was dead, I still got credit for the kill.

WOTLK: Wth is this quest?

The first time I didnt read through the quest and was wondering why an elite was beating the cr*p out of me during a non elite quest until I gave up and died.
The second time I ran to the questgiver and some undeads helped to beat him down. BUT and BIG but, they didnt get aggro. If I wasnt a Pala but some warri or mage, I probably would have died again. Was oom though.

Maybe the solution is to not hit him at all and just let the undeads do all the work, but its really bad quest design.

[The vrykul are being clever about this. Fortunately I've a trick up my sleeve.

This leader of theirs, Bjorn, is a real hothead. We've pieced together enough of their language to fashion what we think is a good insult. Something involving his mother and large barnyard animals... we're not quite sure.
