This quest is presumably the replacement for last year's children's week quest in which you took Salandria to see Muru in Silvemoon, seeing as how Muru was carted off to Sunwell Plateau by Kael's troops.

Then look up to the balcony and bring out your orphan if you havn't already, you may have to dismiss and recall it repeatedly (by clicking on the whistle) if she refuses to do her thing.

The "Elite Tauren Chieftains" are a play on the WoW themed band "Level 70 Elite Tauren Chieftain," or "L70ETC" and even did the music at the end credits of Frozen Throne.

Just in case you're ignorant like me, you don't have to look for a Tauren. She actually interacts with the NPCs on the balcony, and if you're not looking up, you'll see a group of 4 NPCs at ground level that represent every Horde race EXCEPT the Tauren.

It seems not to have reset this year, maybe? People who didn't do it last year seem to be able to do it this year, but it wasn't available for me.

It would seem that if you did this quest last year, you do not need to do it again this year. I think this may be the result of a small oversight by Blizzard, and not a simple bug.

Originally, Horde players had to visit M'uru, the Naaru being held captive by the Blood Elves, at this point in the quest line. In 2.4, Mu'ru was removed for certain *cough* reasons. In order to keep a visit to Silvermoon as part of the Children's Week event, Blizzard replaced the old M'uru visit with this quest. My guess is that when the quest was created, a mechanic was left out that allows it to be repeated in following years. Instead of being a yearly quest like the rest of Children's Week, it is treated as a normal, unrepeatable quest. Whether or not this will be fixed needs to be seen.

No, I was a Blood Knight 'til a ghoul killed me in the Eastern Plaguelands.

I was forced into being a Death Knight. :'(
