Depending on the proc rate and internal cooldown (if applicable) the totem MAY be better than Totem of Hex, but in my opinion Totem of Hex will be superior as haste sweet spot is not that hard to achieve and aftar that haste becomes useless. Boost to Lightning Bolt's and Chain Lightning's spell power is always viable as they constitute a major part of elemenal shaman's DPS.

EDIT no.2: Even if the internal cooldown is set to 20 sec it will be worse than Totem of Hex as when shamans hit 1.5sec. LB the rotation becomes smooth with 5 LBs between every LvB. More haste = waste or messed up rotation, aka. less damage.

I firmly believe that Totem of Hex will remain superior. Haste isn't a shamans key stat as much as pure unbridaled spellpower. Considering how large a chunk of dps belongs to Lightning Bolt, and considering a DoT is proc'd by crits (8% initial damage, stackable), a powerboost would be more vital vs a haste boost (another swing and a miss, Thunderfall Totem ftl )

If I had to guess, it would be like trinkets with the same effect with a 45s hcd. And lets face it, 200 haste it nothing much unless it procs often and with little to no hcd. Save your emblems until good data is collected, I hope it is better than I expect.

It seems like the buff it gives will be active pretty much 100% of the time. Could anyone on the PTR confirm since it doesn't tell me the internal cooldown? If so I'd say this is finally a good upgrade to our tier 7 totem.

indeed, i, myself as an enh shaman, saw those 2 totems, with ap and haste, and thought that this one would be slightly better, and when its thought that with the 4 tier bonus of 8.5 im using LB like once per 5-6 secs, that is totally worth it...

Confirmed no ICD on live.

Uptime should be ~100% unless it falls off during LvB

EDIT: Upon further review ICD appears to be 6 seconds.

Would this totem win over the 200 AP from Lava Lash one for an enhancement shammy?
I noticed it doesn't say it procs from chain lightning so I'm guessing it doesn't, and I'm currently using all my MW procs to cast Chain lighting 75% of the time (25% of the time is when CL is on CD), because well, with the new 1 Shamanistic rage 1 minute cooldown mana aint a problem and chain lightning does higher damage even on single targets.
Would the 200 haste make up for the damage I loose casting normal LB's instead of CL?

Chain Lightning does higher base damage on single targets, correct. However, Lightning Bolt has a way higher spellpower co-efficient (57.14% CL against 71.43% for LB) which makes it the single target DPS spell.

Chain Lightning can be used in single target rotations, as it has a slightly higher DPSC (or Damage Per Second Casting) figure than LB. The trade off is that the mana cost is much higher (and disproportionately so compared to the dps gain). There is also suggestion that using it in place of LB just before the LvB cooldown is up can increase dps as well.

Is it possible to macro Thunderfall Totem to LvB and Totem of Electrifying Winds to LB and switch them out continually? or will the spell cast before it recieves the benefit of the totem?
