it seems these shoulders have the looks of the old level 60 shaman dungeon set.

in adition it seems that these shoulders wil always be mail. nomatter what level character you (try) to equip them on.

so lower level shaman will probably requier 2 sets. 1 leather till 40 and from then 1 mail. if there are more items to come.

they not will always be mail. the will be "leather" and when you trip 40 they change to mail. says mmo and wowwiki

It's been confirmed by a blue that the items will adjust to what type of armor the character can wear at that level. So if you give it to an alt that is below level 40, it will become leather armor until they hit 40, where it will change to mail.

Does anyone see the problem with these shoulders having 85 mp/5? Unless this gets fixed every resto shaman will have one.

Same thing with The Blessed Hammer of Grace and Devout Aurastone Hammer ...

obviously the stats got changed to:
64 stam
43 int
50 spellpower
17 mp5
+10% experience killing monsters

and therewith making it extremely mediocre.

If you're curious as to how this item scales down with your character's level (for purposes of twinking or general curiosity), you can use the LINK button at the top of this item page to link the item in-game: the WoW client will automatically scale the item stats down to your character's level for you. This works with all the other Heirloom items as well.

Steps in case you are unfamiliar with how to use Wowhead item links:

Click the link button above, there will be a popup window with some automatically highlighted text.
Copy the text (Windows: Ctrl-C, Mac: Cmd-C) and close the popup window.
Open (or switch to) WoW and press Enter to open up your chat dialog.

You can enchant BoA items with enchants that require ilvl 1 item, or don't have requirements of ilvl and do not bind item after enchant (rep/profession-only "soulbounding enchants" cannot be used on BoA items).

Also 10% bonus stack with rested state:
<base xp>*<rested>*<shoulders>
or simply <base xp>*2,1

Additionaly every Heirloom item will change category with profession, for example you can buy Plate shoulders, and send them to warrior on 30 lvl, shoulders will "change" into Mails, and after reaching 40lvl again into Plate.

Weapons:

Although Mail, these items will turn into Leather when mailed to a <40 Shaman.
The alt in question must be on the same realm realm as the character you will be buying the items with. They must also be on the same faction.

The stats upgrade every 10 lvl's. if you want to get a preety acurate result i have made up some simple math in order to see how much stats they wil give for each lvl.

Let's take for example a 39 shaman.

CUrrent stats for lvl 80 in ( let's say spellpower, since that is the most important stat i think) are: 50 spellpower - lvl 80

50 divided in 80lvls = 0.625 ( for lvl 1 )

stats every 10 lvl's sadly make us go only for 30 times:

0.625 multiplyed by 30 = 18.75 ( thow always i have seen the stats as aproximate 1/2 of the final result.

tha makes : 18.75:2= 9-10 spellpower for lvl 30-39 ( witch i have experimented)

in my total of 3 hairloom items that i got ( weapon, shoulder and staff the math works the same for all of them.

HOPE I'VE BEEN OF SOME HELP. .. vote for me =) ( excuse grammar)

These statements are not consistent.

Either it is <base xp>*<rested>*<shoulders>, in which case it would be <base xp>*2.2 OR it is <base xp>*2,1, in which case the formula would be <base xp>*(<rested>+<shoulders>)

Just want to mention that even though, to a shaman, these shoulders are leather lvl 1-40, they cannot be used by a druid lvl 1-40, they're considered mail.

Currently, BoA shoulders can be enchanted with Greater Inscription of the Gladiator, adding 30 stamina and 15 resilience. Unknown if this is intended (probably it's not), so hurry up before it's patched away.

Yes indeed, any class can wear these as long as they are eligible for the armor usage.

I have been using for my Warlock, Shaman & Druid so there should be no reason why your Paladin cannot use the mail Shoulders.

As of the current patch (3.1), the XP bonus from all heirloom shoulders extend to quests, so you get 10% extra experience points from both mob kills and quests. Yay!

You can use any shoulder-enchant on BoA-shoulders now since the change in the 3.1 patch.
But you need to fit the required lvl to gain the benefit, for example last night i enchanted my Polished Spaulders of Valor with the Scryer shoulder-enchant and it got on just fine,
but i needed to be lvl70 to gain the extra attackpower and crit.

My shammie has https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=37116 on resto off-spec (which I'm playing a lot as healers are Little Miss/Mr Popular in the game). Is it worth getting these? It's Tuesday night (Oceanic time) so I can't use an in-game link to compare them... Obviously I am not going to be gaining xp at level 80, but thought they might be slightly better than what I have... I will have 60 champions seals in a few days and could afford them... can't see much else I would want to spend them on, except maybe the tabard.

If any of you are planning on leveling anything more than a shaman(like any form of caster, be it a caster druid, or even a mage/priest/warlock), you would be better off getting these:

Granted you'll take an armor hit, if you don't have badges/seals to spare, it would be more beneficial getting these.

Come 3.3, I'm planning to utilize the upgraded LFG system to level my Paladin up as a healer. I'm definitely gonna grab these shoulders, as well as the chestpiece counterpart, to heal with.

The mp5 offered by these is MUCH more desirable than the spirit offered by the leather, and the cloth pieces. Plus there's no straight plate spell power heirloom gear. So these are the best option for any paladin that's looking to level holy.
