What I cant believe that this is the only PvE (note that E on the end and NOT a P) OH mace since blackout truncheon. The is a crime imo.

Granted I can go for the PvP gladiator OH mace but I am not much of PvPer so it would take me a couple of weeks to get my 1125 arena points to get the OH.

Anyone know why there is a '54' inscribed on the bottom of the mace? Also it looks like its on the top part, reversed.

Since the recently posted changes to haste, it could be argued that the Blade of Savegry ( https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32369 ) is better due to the crit rating.

Quite possibly the best weapons to dual wield when boss hits 20% for execute spam. The speed them selves help with fast and steady rage generation and I'd imagine the haste rating would also help with the rage generation, not to mention double mongoose procs. Even without any mitigation/avoidance stats, this mace is also a very good aggro weap for warrior tanks. The heroic strike spam weap of choice, at least until Mother Shahraz's 1.4 speed sword. Of course I wouldn't ninja either of them from the dpsers :P

this thing rocks for threat as a prot warrior. I have brutallizer, unbreakable will, blazefury, and this weapon. I use this on almost all non-progression content. (I'm a human tho - so I get the 5 expertise).

Question, if I may.
Nobody in the raid wanted this, and as a Combat Rogue I took it happily. I am however, currently Combat Swords.

I'm using the Merciless Gladiators Quickblade in my OH and although I lose the sword proc, would the stat upgrade and the base DPS upgrade actually be an overall improvement?

Not to spam this with questions but I'm actually curious, it's a lovely weapon.

Looking at the wrath changes, getting this and adding Potency (+20 str, which would also add 10 Block) would be nice for a prot pala based on the fact that our spells will get some gain from AP, and Shield of the Righteous will gain from the block the enchant gives. The hit rating will be nice too, and the haste will give us a slight benefit.

What's best about it though is the speed. At 1.5, it'd be nice for increasing the amount of times the boss is hit with Seal of Righteousness.

UNTIL WotLK/talent patch though, it's not a good weapon for us. But once it does hit, it'll be in fairly high demand i imagine.

This looks kind of fake, missing middle equip effect, the image has a rogue holding it like its a 2h mace, I dunno.

Im a fury warrior and I offhand this. It does drop from trash and we had 2 drop in one night. It adds 2.57% speed, which adds about 5 dps to my mainhand, or equal to about 70 atp, I think thats pretty good. The hits nice too.

Well, I wouldn't go so far as to say it's the best weapon, but it would probably be the best OH weapon for a combat mace rogue, especially one using the crafted mace (as opposed to pvp mace) MH. The crafted mace gives haste on proc, it's easy to get haste items such as the assassination 2-piece bonus, trinkets, mongoose, etc. Coupled with haste talents in combat tree, this would made the combat potency go nuts, to say nothing of stuns from mace spec.

I can only dream of getting this OH, along with the two swiftsteel armor pieces from BT as my guild is small and not hardcore. These three items from BT would add about 8% more haste on tap along with all the other proc/use haste from the proper build just adds to the insanity.

I'll be dreaming of this one all the way 'til Xmas lol.

As a fury warrior planning to use this as an offhand, which do you think would be a preferable main hand weapon?

Dragonstrike-lowest dps but has good haste proc

Rod of the sun king-middle dps, 50AP and 5 ponts of fury proc

or syphon of the Nathrezim-highest dps 50AP and heal steling proc

one of these with this weapon as the offhand. plelase im just curious.

rofl, did anyone else notice the mentioning of this being a good weapon for hunters who want to melee?
hunters cant use maces, otherwise half the classes in the game would have their weapons being taken daily.

mmk heres howi see the drop table

1st- warriors- they can get a hell of a lot of use out of this wep in pve, especially fury wars (if there are any left)

2nd-rogues- mace spec is more for pvp but if a rogue wants to save up his DKP to get this, i understand

3rd- shammies- not that shams shouldnt get a roll... its just that enhance shammies have been nerfed since BC (prolly because of the Unbreakable video... /hail Unbreakable)

4th- pallies- i think it would be a waste of dkp for a pally to roll on this but... yeah i think it would be a waste

Overall- this weapon would be fantastic for pvp, but youd have to be careful when using it in pve

actually from my experience it is better to use a slow 2h- wep to kill cloth and leather
but actually 2 fast handers for mail and plate because with the slow wep you will be doing yea like bigger hits but it IS slow and u cant own a fury war like this bfore he owns you so for me 2 fast are the best OR a fast 1h and a shield =D have fun and a happy day

eh not really sinse patch(+5% crit increase with maces) with dragonstrike in main hand and this in off and u keep SnD popped ur doing some serious dps. maces sucking in PvE is a thing of the past.

This mace could potentially have problems finding a home. This is far too fast for enhance, and they'll be interested in two Syphon of the Nathrezim Combat Rogues typically go Swords, and rogues frequently go Sub or Assassination for PvP and not Combat Maces. A Fury warrior could do this, but this is typically much faster than they like for regular use (though not bad for Execute spam phase).

HOWEVER - for a human prot warrior specifically, this is a fantastic choice for a threat weapon. The human racial gives 5 expertise for using a mace or a sword. However, this is different than the expertise rating you see on weapons - 4 expertise rating makes a full expertise point, so the human racial adds up to 20 expertise rating for using a mace or sword. This is humongous, and means a human prot warrior NOT using a sword or a mace is sacrificing a huge amount of threat and mitigation.

The two obvious tank weapons in T6 are The Brutalizer and The Unbreakable Will For a non human prot warrior, The Brutalizer is the clear choice - the expertise has a far bigger impact than the small amount of armour boost on UW. For an orc prot warrior, The Brutalizer is your weapon choice all the way to KJ!

For a human prot warrior, Brutalizer is still OK, but the expertise on the weapon simply makes up for it not being a sword or mace. Unbreakable Will is a fine choice for a human - basically the same amount of expertise as Brutalizer, just with a bit of extra armour.

But enter Swiftsteel Bludgeon ! This is attractive in ways other than getting the human racial - warrior tanks love a fast weapon speed, and this has the 2nd fastest weapon speed of all your options in this tier. It is solely focused on aggressive stats - hit and haste especially are quite valuable for warrior tanks. You might wish for some stamina, but by this point in your gear path you'll have lots of stamina on all your gear. The fact that this weapon is also not aggressively sought after means you'll more or less get this as soon as it drops.

The only other weapon that would be more desirable in this tier is Blade of Savagery This has stamina, is even slightly faster, and still has superb aggro stats. That said, any rogues in your raid will be salivating over this, and quite honestly should get it first. Get Swiftsteel, be happy, and watch your rogues get their first OH upgrade since Latro's or PvP!
