Anyone else find it annoying that it takes more mats to make the runed adamantite rod than it does for the runed eternium?

I find it annoying that I level 20 points only to find i can't advance anymore until i get the mats for not one.. but TWO new rods.... so bloody annoying. I may just open one of my quality wines at home when I max it out eventually lol.

Remember to save the outlands enchanting leftover mats after picking up the wotlk recipes for Runed Eternium Rod.

I agree it's nor nice to have to spend all this it just sux, but actually, all my money for buying 5000G swift and then cold mount came mostly from disenchanting and selling the mats in AH ^^, so well, it's worth if >.>

Omg... so expensive.... The price listed here is plainly false. If we go with 30g each for the shards, 10g each for the essence, 80g for the primal might, and 30 gold for the plain rod (doesn't even include all previous rods, which probably come close to 400g or something) we get 430 gold. Thank you Blizz for making it sooooo outrageous, as if enchanters could make a profit actually enchanting as it is.

Vendor is in small Horde town in Terokkar Forest. On the left side of the inn on the outside. Only has 1...so if he doesn't have it..just wait.

The Alliance vendor is located in Temple of Telhamat in Hellfire Penisula, from the Reagent Vendor named Vodesiin. He also only has 1, but I'm sure if you wait a few minutes, it will re-appear.

Looking for the recipe for the rod. Check left side of the stonebreaker hold inn. This is not far from shattrath city in terrokar forest. It costs 10g and randomly is sold by Rungar the trade goods orc. Good luck to those who come across it. Co-ords 49,46.

Which enchants require this rod? I am at 350 enchanting and I have not found an enchant I can't perform yet.

Enchanting is too God damn expensive. Wish I never would have picked it up. Just the freaking rods cost tons.

When you think about the fact that each rod requires the lower one, this rod is actually around 1000g. Think about it, going from runed copper all the way to this?

That doesn't even include the leveling.

It's especially fun when, after all that time and money, people throw you a 2g tip for a lvl 360 enchant. "Sweet, just need about 450 of those to pay for my rods. 1000 more to break even from leveling enchanting." Pretty special.

Try making money on a low pop server. I can spam the trade channel all day "Free X enchants with your mats"(replace X with very useful or cheap enchants), and not get any tells...actually I usually have someone ask what the mats are... I link and get no reply. I usually have to enchant something over and over replacing existing enchant with my own mats just to level.
If I could go back and change my profession I would... all this hassle isnt worth the +12 spellpower to rings.
I hope the new expansion comes out with more BoP enchants. Because right now, with all the money I've spent leveling, I could be decked out with all the enchants I need and have lots of gold left over. I remember when I first picked up enchanting I was thinking "sweet I'll just enchant all my own stuff and save some money"... ha what a nub I was.

I see you guys complaining about enchanting. But consider the pro's to this proffesion. You get a blue BoP item that you dont need, disenchant. You change gear, disenchant the old one. You buy stuff @ ah, disenchant, get mats many times double the value, and sell.

The con's however is the rods. The formula's..well..every proffesion has em, and need to obtain them somehow, that is equal for all proffesions.
The only thing about enchanting that is negative, is the cost of rods. This rod here, I think if I'm lucky I only have to spend 200g, but most likely 300-350g. The Primal Might alone cost me 110g.
I think blizz should cut the cost of the rods.

In other proffesions there is items required to do the job, but I've not seen anything this pricy. We all need tools to do our job, but must they cost that much?

The adamantite rod cost me mats+5g, I was happy the blacksmith was that kind, cause it requires 350 skill to make it. Same as with our enchants. He get 5g fee, we get 5g fee. But he doesnt have to spend 2-400g for the tools he needs.

I've enchanted alot, now I have 353 skill. And I never do any enchants for less then 5g, its just not worth my time, unless its a friend, or someone who just got under my skin with their cuteness. I can do all the 300skill weapon enchants, but those dont give any income anymore. Sometimes I'm lucky and get 15g when I do an enchant.

The cost of the rods must go down blizz, please...

well, I lvled my main's enchanting all the way to 325 and I spent 400g max. If I do the same for blacksmith, I will never be at this lvl.

most of the mats are easy to farm. At least I get most of the mats from sending the cloth to my alt and have him make cloth gear for my main to DE.

I'm disappointed with the price, but what hurts the most is the primal might.

hope they lower the price on primal might.

but as long as I run instances, I will have infinite amount of cloth and blue/green/epic gear flowing to my toon. selling the mats itself is more than enough to pay me off.

epic flyer for me is a myth.

Quit complaining about the damn prices. You can easily make 100g+ a day through just doing your dailies. I only do Ogrila dailies and my bg daily and i get about 60g a day.

Enchanting is a good profession for everyone when you want to enhance your own gear, the point is not to make money, the point is to improve your gear with the ring enchants and wellt he rest you acquire is a bonus like DE'ing in instances/DE'ing your old gear, etc.. Enchanting is a good profession, I personally dont enchant for anyone but I wanted to lvl up enchant on my paladin and on my warlock becaus eof the ring enchants which are HUGE. +40heal means like another ring...+24 spelldmg means like almost another ring..it is really a good boost to your spell damage + healing bonus if you want to top up healing/dps :) evenf or melees, the +2 weapon damage is also amazing, and for tanks +4 all stats on eachring is really good too.. so by the end enchanting is a good profesion if you really want to boost your own gear.
