I'm a bit confused about the first part of this talent. Power Word: Shield listed here (https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=48066) still has a 4 second cooldown. The only way the first part of this talent would work is if Blizzard removed the 4 second cooldown associated with PW:S and then its normal cooldown will be associated with the GCD (thus the purpose of this talent). Since this talent specifies GCD specifically and not PW:S' cooldown, maybe Power Word: Shield will get its cooldown removed?

If this is the case, it doesn't help casting PW:S on the same target since they will still have the 15 second Weakened Soul debuff. But it'll be great (thinking PvP here) if you need to shield your teammate and yourself back to back without waiting for the 4 second cooldown.

I know, it's still pretty early on in the beta, but I was hoping if any fellow priest has access to the beta could shed some light on this talent :)

This talent brings the amount of absoption gained by your PW:S from your +healing to 40%.

Also with this talent, Rapture, and iPW:S, you need +3188 healing to make your PW:S FREE.

Wrong. You need that AND an amazingly high max mana. 30k mana / 4 = 25% = 7500 mana.

25% / 10 = 2.5%
7500 / 10 = 750 mana.

PW:S is 26% of base mana, which is just about 700 mana. You will need around 30k mana for this to be free, + enough spellpower to make it absorb enough to gain the max 2.5% mana back.

it now is bugged and doesn't go away on instant casts, but it also reduces the Global CD as well. Just thought you priests skipping out on this might want to try the talent :)

this is great in emergency situations

If you do not have any haste bonus and this procs the Greater Heal spell takes 2,15 seconds to cast, still slower than Flash Heal but if you're not being attacked (talking about arena) it still a good option to give full health to your partner

especially if you've the Glyph of PW: S, it will surely get full health after Shield plus "Fast" Greater Heal

i love the fact it procs no matter who you shield. I love shielding pally tanks since it heals they get mana regen out of it as well (glyph) and then i get 25% spell haste to use with penace and that gives me 3 stacks of grace so basically all of these talents feed into eachother which is much nicer compared to holy spec where you just spam whatever heal.

Would be nice to note that you save 25%haste buff untill you consume it by non-instant spell or 6sec pass. So, that way you can simply cast several Renews as example, where each of them will be counted as +25%haste-buffed, i.e. each will be casted with 1,2sec GCD(if no haste gear).
Edit: Renews? Why the hell Renews? Shieldspam your raid 20seconds before huge boss aoe! That's a win-win.

This is an insane for Holy Nova! Just bubble and enjoy the unexpectedly high AoE DPS :) Charges not consumed.

Just curious, does this talent have an internal CD? That is, can you just spam PW:S on your party and get spell haste each time?

A few tricks with this ability:

Makes your Divine Hymn and Hymn of Hope both finish in 6 seconds as opposed to 8. The ticks go off 25% faster as well. This is great for arena where you're trying to beat an interrupt, or in pve where you're trying to heal massive raid damage quickly.

This combined with Power Infusion and Platinum Disk of Swiftness can get a res off in 5.6 seconds. Obvious arena implications. Additionally, with the above mentioned combo (and Divine Fury) Smite goes off in 1.1 sec. Not bad if you're trying to help your partner burst.

Did anyone notice that if you have this up and cast Penance, the buff won't vanish and allow you to cast another spell with 25% moe haste? Or is it only me?
