Sometimes if you destroy all four controllers you're still unable to click the portal hovering over the lake. This happened to me, just wait until all four controllers respawn and repeat until you can select the portal.

Upon destroying the gate, one might expect an explosion, or for the portal to at least vanish. In fact, nothing happens. You get credit for destroying it, but it's still there. Weird ..

For those who struggle to attack the Sun Gate cause your "too far away" just make sure that once your in the water that you swim to the top of the water, else you will be too far away verticaly.

I think it's clear it's simply a matter of height and not a bug.

I had the same issue, but instead of waiting around to open the jewels again, I tried hopping once in the air from the lake. Sure enough, it put me at the right height to be able to select the gate.

Just simply enable "Click to Move" in Interface options -> Mouse and you won't have the problem where you can't reach the Sun Gate. =)

I had trouble with this quest when trying to click the portal and then found that I had an enlarge buff on me, the reason why is your character is often focused at a single point and when you make yourself bigger that focus point is "move down" in proportion to your size

The follow up quest is What We Know... however, it is a Draenai only quest.

The quest text ends "Smashing! We've cut off their supply line. Now all that we need to do is finish them off! ". He would normally then give the quest above which eventually leads to the Draenai tabard Tabard of the Hand, however, to non-Draenai the guy just says "Have you spoken with Admetius?..." so the quest chain ends here rather abruptly for other races.

It's at the Sunhawk camp where you went to kill the Void Critters, the camp has Defenders and Pyromancers there too. Directly south of the Vector Coil. At the edge of the lake are 4 dark crystals, you attack them, then swim to the middle of the lake and attack the Sun Gate. Pretty disappointing that nothing actually happens to it. You get a message up that its complete, but would have been nice if the gate blew up or something...

The pond is at 18,64
Just go to the pond, you will see those 4 or 5 black crystals. Destroy them. Then in the middle of the pond, the big glowing thing, destroy that too. Thats all there is to it. Easy!

Not everyone has the map addon but it is very useful, why not just get the addon?

Titan Panel, Cosmos, Fubar, Punky Coords, all will do this for you..

For those of us who are directionally challenged, the Sun Gate is immediately to the left of the Vector coil, by the green lake.

For everyone complaining about coordinates, you don't need any addons. Just type /m, create a new macro and paste this in:

/script px,py=GetPlayerMapPosition("player")
/script DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME:AddMessage(format(" %i , %i",GetZoneText(),px*100,py*100));

And stop complaining.

For those that don't want to run all over the place looking for addons, here is a site you can visit, download the wowaceupdater and it will allow you to get what addons you need/want. Site is as follows: http://www.wowace.com/wiki/WowAceUpdater. Its great. And the best addon for anyone for coordinates and more is cartographer. with additions to it you can track where ores are, herbs, vendors in town, trainers, the works. Check it out.

I has some trouble clicking on the small crystals on the shore. Had to do some funky twisting and turning then fast clicking when I saw the "cog" thingie to get it to work. Just letting people know...

For me, this quest line did not open until I had completed "I Shoot Magic into the Darkness" in the quest line that started with "The Kessel Run". Because The Kessel Run line was Draenei only, it may be that this is as well.

Descrizione

Thanks to you and the work you did, my scouts were able to find the sun gate. The elves keep the portal location mobile so that they can move it at a moment's notice. That's why the site you investigated was empty.

The strength of such a system is also its greatest weakness. The sun gate is stabilized by portal controllers. If we can take down the controllers, the portal will be ours to destroy. The current sun gate location can be found west of here, south of the Vector Coil. Find it and destroy it!
