I found the equipment at 44, 22. It spawns randomly at each of the little Murlock structures so you will probably find it at a different loc.
Also, it has a pretty long respawn time.

The easiest way to do it is to run along the side of the beach, the box is always by one of the huts.

probably easier to just look at the screenshots so you know what it looks like, and then go to each of the huts rather than picking random coordinates. all in all, it's not too hard to find.

40,20 but like everyone said, when i did this as my Draeni it was at a different local...just check em all...youll get those relics and knives for that other quest.

I did this on a high level toon just to get some quick quest points.

I saw the glittering box on the shore by one of the murloc structures by the shoreline and saw a low level toon going for it. So I let him have it, figuring that it would just respawn again in a few moments.

I rode my mount from one end to the other. Deathclaw (bear for another quest) had respawned several times during the 15 minutes that I rode from one part of the beach, to the other, and back again.

So it has a long respawn rate. I don't know if grouping will eliminate this problem, but I would certainly give it a try if you see that someone is grinding to get to it before you!

Found it just to the east of the shell, 44,22 standing on it now.. looks like it spawns all over the place

I agree....whats so bad about murlocs? There's always a ton of them to kill for xp, and they die pretty easy. With my 16 shaman i was able to do the mission while taking on groups of 2 and 3 at a time.

its a brown box that is found on the east most murloc houseing facility and it is sourounded by murlocs that are waiting to bring a mass army to kill you good luck with it (it is fairly Easy)

This quest does NOT give 250 rep with Gnomeregan Exiles. It only gave me 25. The follow-up quest, however, does give 250 as listed.

The quest has varying coordinates. It's not like most quests where it's scattered in every murloc camp. You have to go to the far east near the warp piston and work your way back to the end on the west side.

It's the fod box as they say, but the coordinates are not fixed. It's in one of the three murloc camps on the beach.

Worked fine as of 2021-05-21 in TBC classic 2.5.1 - just found one under one of the murloc huts - it did take some time, and I did get lucky - as I was approaching one of the huts I saw it laying underneath it, no mobs and no players around. I read on some other posts that i can take 5-10 min to spawn. I couldn't be more happy.

If the murlocs detect my presence, the experiment will be ruined! I've already come perilously close to contaminating my data.

While I was foraging yesterday, one of them must've wandered too close and discovered my camp. I returned just in time to see two of them carrying off a crate with most of my equipment! It's bound to be in one of their settlements around here, but I can't risk revealing my presence. Are you willing to help?
