If your heading towards the quest giver before the tunnel cave then you will find the Deadwood's on your left.....to the west!

Remember this - The Deadwood Shamans ARE a piece of cake to kill when your above say lvl 53-54 OR if you have a lot of health and s*** hot armor! OR if you have a lot of tricks up your sleeve.

otherwise don't be smart and underestimate the things because they have their own thunderclap and yes it does do quite a lot of damage if your soloing as a low level!

I did it with my 54 human warrior and even at that level i found them a little bit harder then the others.

AC are a pain in all of felwood, i will never forget tormenting a rogue trying to finish the escort quest from jaedenar, anyway be careful horde! everytime i try to do this quest it seems to be atleast 2 70s holding a bunch of mid 50's hands while doing this... its nearly impossible to do it without having to slaughter ac over and over until they log off. but the quest itself is fairly easy

Careful, they're going to call for help at low health, and they are LOUD. I'm serious, they call furbolgs across continents. I had a lot of trouble as a 55 feral druid.

this quest was easily done as a 53 pally no need for bubble or heals, easy to kill them 1 by 1 if u just mind where u got closest mob so the 1 u are killing dont call for help. For me all went fine to the last pull, Pff he calls for help and i end up having 4 more mobs on me.

Don`t be smart and try to pull too many as prot pala. I had 5 on me and died do to the curses removing most of my healing ability. Dunno if they stack but had 2 on me. Pulling avengers together with the den watchers in groups of 3-4 is advised, at least for a 55 prot pala like me

The mobs are lvl 54. The casters hit hard. No luck trying as a lvl 50 warrior.

Did this as a lvl 50 lock. They did shout for help but learned to pull them away from the others. Worse part is there are very few shammys about so you have to do a lot of overkill to get them to spawn.

I can confirm the reputation reward for this has been doubled. I got 700 rep for doing it last night.

Completely soloable as a resto druid at 50. Some notes:

1) The Den Watchers are the only ones who call for help. They do it at about 30% health. If you've pulled them far enough away from any other furbolgs that you don't pull adds (at 50), they're far enough away that they won't bring any adds by calling for help, either.

2) Shamans do not seem to have a thunderclap ability any longer. They'll just spam lightning bolt until they're OOM, then close and melee you. They don't hit too hard in melee even on someone ~4 levels below them. I simply stayed in caster and healed myself until they ran out of mana if I didn't manage to get the jump on them in cat. Mana-burning classes will likely have this easier.

3) Avengers hit very hard and very fast. If you are a class that can stun, I highly recommend keeping them locked down as much as you possibly can while killing them.

4) If you get more than one, just run. There's enough room alongside the road that you can generally get one to reset while the other follows you.

i was rogue 50 when l' I have made, the avenger are much difficult to kill.
questhelper does not say where they are, simply go under the pit to the west of the quest giver.

wow, this quest was quite the pain in the arse for me, at least. a group of 2 54's led by a 70 were making laps through the village, i guess they were farming something these npcs dropped, i'll never know. regardless, i was continually smashed without mercy trying to finish this up. be careful

On my server, there were 70s there getting reputation and kept wiping them out before I could get to them. Other than that, the quest is rather easy and good for gaining reputation.

Is this quest available when you are revered with Timbermaw Hold? I was hoping to grind with the Mobs at Deadwood Village till hitting Revered and then finishing this quest along with Feathers for Grazle or Feathers for Nafien

This quest is available even if you are 'hostile' to Timbermaw Faction. It's a nice quest if you are like me and you don't care about reputation, you only wante to get through their cave without getting mauled.

This quest will boost you straight up from 'hostile' to 'unfriendly' (which means no mauling) if:
1. You never killed a Timbermaw furbolg in Azshara or Felwood.
2. You did "Timbermaw Ally" quest for Grazle in the southern part of Felwood.

Even if you killed some Timbermaw furbolgs before, you can make it up by killing Deadwood furbolgs.

Tested recently.

You will receive about 340 rep for making your way around the lake once, killing every mob up.

Plus you will get 10-25 feathers, which you can turn in 5 for 75rep.

this quest and winterfall activity gain you rep with the same faction. whereas in desolace you must choose one faction over the other, except for me, i gained friendly with gelkis and stayed just barely unfriendly with magram, so they will not attack me. be advised, there is a quest in felwood, i assume repeatable, has something to do with cenarion salve. save the reward. it will be useful later on getting an item that puts +100 armor on pants or helm. i searched Black Diamond for that info.

Ok so i did the quest, but I,m still considered hostile with the timbermaw hold. Well I took winderactivity quest, so maybe that will put me right with them. Either way it ready doesn't matter sence I can fly to side side or the other of the Hold, so I really don't even need to go thur it. Anyway the quest was sweet

If you look down to the left(your left)of the quest giver, you can see Felpaw down there. Just ride back down the road a lil and to your right you will see the place to go in (the village is at 63,39) . I rode on in nonstop. Go the the pond and stay to the left side of it. Jump over the rock and tree roots and right there is your first sham. Kill him them there another one just to the right of him and right out of aggro range (great) get him. then go right under the tree bracnh where he was standing and theres a watcher there. Get him then go back to where you killed that first sham and look to your right and you will see a lil grove that has a path that you can climb up the hill. you can hide right there and give them 2 mins or so to res and then repeat. They will res back as diffrent kinds and then back again. Are you can go in the water and stay just under the surface and do your work from there, either way works.

Look over your shoulder to the left of the quest giver, just down the mountain there and you will find all the mobs you need to kill. They aren't very far at all.

contrary to what the quest info says, this quest is NOT repeatable.
handing in the Deadwood feathers that some of them drop is repeatable.

This quest takes place in the NW part of Felwood in Felwood Village. You can reach the village by going west off the path at 63,15.

Pretty straighforward, just kill what is asked. The Den Watchers will call for help, so it's a good idea to pull them away from any others while killing them. Mobs are level 53-55.

Note: I was never able to receive or complete Timbermaw Ally so I do not know of a requirement to do that one first to get this quest.

Also, I did not get any feathers, but I received the quest Deadwood Ritual Totem at 61,10, looted from a Den Watcher.

I did this as a lvl 51 Shaman. Easy except for occassional lvl 55. If I had to fight a 55, I used Gift of the Naaru, windfury weapon, strength of earth totem, and searing totem, and didn't die. Coords 62, 13, 5650 XP. Good drop on headdress feathers too.

Solo'ed on my L47-48 BM Hunter. Not smart to try at my level, but I'm stubborn. My traps didn't work, and I died a few times, but it's done, and the helm is a nice upgrade. Learned a lot about playing my BM hunter too! Be careful to clear out any wolves or bears so you have room to run. My last shaman was down to 40% when a bear spawned right under me. Made killing the last NPC exciting!

There is a camp of Deadwood furbolgs directly to our southwest. Corruption permeates the camp, and I wish to put an end to it before they become a problem.

The Deadwood tribe is evil, but it is the effects of the fel that pollutes their minds. Their hostility is not truly an innate quality, yet they cannot be helped. It saddens me that we must fight our own brethren.

Please, <name> - I ask you to do what must be done. Simply spare me the details; such troublesome images upset me far too much.
