Ornalfs boat is the only other large Kvaldir ship (similar to the one between the Hordes and Alliance's ships for Rescue at Sea) and it's east of the Island, can't miss it.

He throws a harpoon and dual wields, non-elite.

This quest bugged for me today.

I am sure that I was on the right ship. When I tried to use the quest-item it said "You need to be on Bor's Fury" (or something similarly).

I was able to plant the banner after killing a Vrykul on the boat that wasn't there the first time i checked.
I planted the banner on the spot where i killed the Vrykul.

As a quick note for anyone having problems with this quest, I experienced the same issue where I was unable to plant the banner--I was receiving the error telling me I needed to be on Bor's Fury. After trying all areas of the boat, and flying off the boat and back several times, I found something that worked very quickly: simply fly off briefly into the North Sea area to the east of the boat. You need to fly until you have the fatigue bar and the misty / cloudy effect fades from the screen. Then fly back to the boat. This reloads the area / phase / instance, and allows you to complete the quest normally.

I have had to do this now on 3 separate occasions, and it's worked every time, so I thought I'd pass it along.

I seem to have a problem with the flag remaining in my inventory, even after completion.

Changed in the recent patch, flag goes away now.

Fly to the deck of the boat. If you cant put down the flag, relog. When you log in, a mob will be there. Kill it. Target it. Click banner. Kill Ornold when he spawns. Quest completed.

This is clearly an "out of phase" problem. Once when I ran around there trying to click my banner as a maniac, I could see a mob briefly for a sec. Like it was in-phase, then out again the moment after.

People still does not seem to realize that you can spawn the NPC in question by using the item provided by the quest. This is rendering me with countless occasions where people become disgruntled with me because I refuse to accept their group invite, as they think I'm depriving them of some long spawn timer, when they see me killing it. Idiots.

i dont know how to get to bors fury.. i landed in the first ship but the fatigue warning keeps on showing.. what shoul i do?

if you cant summon a boss, just relog and it will work.

Ornolf the Scarred is a fearsome raider renowned among his Kvaldir brethren for raiding and capturing ships. From aboard Bor's Fury, he and his crew attack our ships and steal our goods.

Ornolf and his men are among those who slaughtered the inhabitants of a tuskarr island to the north and renamed it Hrothgar's Landing. His ship sits at anchor at the eastern end of the island's harbor. Take this captured banner and display it on his ship to provoke him into facing you in battle.
