Basically, this consolidates your 4 totems into 1 totem. A space-saver and it puts something in that totem slot.

Something I fell foul of today after getting level 30. Make sure to get your Air Totem first before doing this quest, else you'll be doing a extra bit of travelling.

You must have all 4 totems with you, not in your bank, in order to receive the quest!
You'll get the Totem of the Earthen Ring relic, which you can then destroy if you have a better replacement.

Are there any prereq's for this quest? it's not offered to me, and i want my bank space back, lol

-edit: It seems that troll shamans, and i assume orc also have to get this quest from Sagorne Creststrider.

Sagorne Creststrider, a shaman trainer in Ogrimmar, also offers the quest if you got the totems. Could spare you a trip to Thunder Bluff.

can't let it destroy my totems because there's no way to get it back, so ill keep them until later upgrades from quest that give combo as Totem of the Earthen Ring and save these in bank.

IT'S ABOUT BLOODY TIME!

Also odd... as a level 32 who forgot to get the Call to Air quest I can accept it with only three totems. Hope that didn't mess something up.

EDIT: It didn't mess it up, and I could still pick up the Call to Air quest.

A warning to people playing WOTLK pre-patch: this quest bugged out on me. It ate my old totems and did not give me the new combo totem. Fortunately I was able to talk to him and click an option for "I lost my totem" and he gave me a new one.

If this happens to you, talk to the NPC again and hopefully you'll get the option to replace your "lost" totem.

WOTLK Pre-Patchers: The quest is available from your race's capital shaman trainer at lvl 30. ie, Tauren Shaman can pick it up in Thunder Bluff to turn in @ Org.

So as of 9/1/22, boosted toons and others seem to access the quest through the shaman trainer in Thunder Bluff. Make sure you have all 4 totems in your inventory, and then turn in. As long as you have a totem equipped in the totem spot in your char screen you will have access to all 4 spell classes! Hope this helps!

You have progressed far in your training, <name>. Now that you have mastered the four basic elements, you must strive to keep all four in balance. There is a practical benefit to this discipline - with practice, you may carry only a single relic instead of all four totems.

Speak to Gotura Fourwinds at the Valley of Wisdom in Orgrimmar, and hone your mastery of the elements.
