Just as the quest described, all you need to do is kill an animal / beast in the Tundra, walk into a pool of fishable water and then that creates a fishing node where you cast. You can catch more than 1 in a cast, it took me 2 casts to catch 5.

Head to central Borean Tundra and kill any beast. Once you kill a beast you'll be covered in blood, step into the lake and it will attract a school of Bloodtooth Frenzy, 2-3 casts should render the 5 fish you need.

You'll catch 2-3 Bloodtooth Frenzys per cast.
This fish can be caught at any level.
Rewards Kirin Tor reputation and another random reward.

I just fished this quest at skill 200, so it's possible at any fishing level. :)

A good place to do this is at the lake in the middle of Borean (53,44)

For the record, you can actually get covered blood in Borean, HS to Dalaran, whilst there wash it off and still do the quest. You, and your friends.

I've found this quest is a good excuse to farm rhino meat for the Mustard Dogs! cooking daily; fly to Amber Ledge, slaughter a few dozen rhinos just below, then pop over to the sea immediately westward to fish. If I'm going to be getting bloody anyway, I might as well make use of it.

For those of you who are colourblind like me and find it hard to judge the boundary of the blood pool, hover over it with your mouse and it changes colour.

Ok, is there any way that I can control the fishing bobber so that I can actually fishing in the pool of blood? Seems like a random drop each time when I hit it and tried if for almost an hour, only get 3 of them...

And it also up my fishing skill from 1 to 60 -_-

As long as your cast hits in or is touching the pool of blood in the water you will catch at least 1-2 https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=45905 per cast. I caught 6 in 3 casts.

Just as a quick note...you must completely submerse yourself in the water to make the pool appear. Merely standing in it will NOT do.

And remember, whilst covered in blood, the NPC's in the D.E.H.T.A. camp attacks you on sight.

I successfully did this quest with Fishing @ 125 and using a bobble +75.

If you end up with 6-7 of the fish, you can save the extras for the next time the daily comes up.

However, if you accept the quest a 2nd time and then abandon, those extra fish will disappear from your bags, just like any quest item after the quest is abandoned.

IMPORTANT: Make sure when you cast that your Fishing Bobber is in the Pool of Blood.
For anyone confused, basically just go kill one of those neutral animals around and get the 3 minute blood debuff. Go any area of water and jump in, get out of the water and start fishing in the Pool of blood.

If you got more than one character with fishing, you can do this quest on both characters, with only having to travel to Borean with one. This is how you do it:

Fly to Borean Tundra, get nice and bloddy and take a bath in the sea. Once you got your five fishes, go kill another NPC that will give you the bloody debuff. Then use your hearthstone to get back to Dalaran. Once there, go to any place you can fish, for example outside The Violet Hold and jump in the water. A Pool of Blood will spawn. Now quickly relogg your other character, fish up the fishes you need from the pool, and hand in the quests :)

Someone please help, I have 211/225 fishing and i cannot do this quest, I am not in a raid, and my skill still raises as i fish endlessly for the fish, I do kill a mammoth/whatever wildlife is in the area and fly into the center of the pond and get on a perch and fish, i have yet to capture ANY fish, when i do get loot, its all greys, I have no idea what could be wrong. HELP!

In some patch (idk what one) they made it so instead of "The fish got away" u just catch grey junk, so instead of getting teh fish ur catching junk. Try to put on a fishing lure or getting some gear to help get your skill up temporarily.

Just for those wondering: fishing from these blood pools does not award the achievement The Old Gnome and the Sea. Since it not listed as one of the criteria schools.

I had no idea what these pools were and found one in the Dalaran fountain, and freaked out only to look like a noob in front of all of my guildies who confirmed it was in fact a quest object - so just a heads up, you can kill a creature in Borean, hearth, port to dal and wash you're blood off in the Dalaran fountain to confuse a few unsuspecting players like myself in Dalaran

This one is extremely easy. Go to the lake in the center of Borean Tundra. Lots of critters to kill. When you kill one, you will turn red. Run into the lake, making sure you go under water. When you come back out, you will see a red fishing node. Cast into it. Took me two casts to complete this quest and the Chasing Marcia achievement!

Rather than going to the lake with all the annoying divers, take a dip in the sea after killing a Caribou near the Tuskarr or Taunka village (where them Gorlocs are).

i did have some trouble with this quest i made three different blood pools and only got one cast of three fish

I've found that this is good for not only rhino meat, but also Chilled meat for the other cooking quests that require the northern stew or the Sewer stew as well. Plus being a skinner, doesnt hurt that i can skin them bad boys and get leather as well. all in all, a good outing! and still being Lvl 70, I still get xp for kills.

The quest says to return to Marcia Chase in Dalaran City. But if you have the quest tracker turned on, it says "Return to Marcia Chase at Forlorn Wods in Crystalsong Forest." Maybe the fact that the Crystalsong Forest is directly underneath Marcia has the quest tracker confused?

I am wondering if this is bugged. Been doing this for a long time and this was the first time I was unable to catch anything but "mostly eaten bonescale snapper" (something that IS usually caught in the blood pools as junk along with the quest item).

I got bloody 4 times before giving up

Anyone else ?

You can create a blood pool in the sea...haven't tried it in freshwater yet.

Did it in a small pool near Amber Ledge. Lots of beasts to kill and get the blood from and, as stated, two casts to get 5 fish.

Descrizione

The bloodtooth is a feisty little fish used in a recipe to cure infected wounds. We could use some of them, if you're up to it.

As the name suggests, they've a hunger for blood. The only way I know how to catch the little devils is by creating a blood pool and fishing in it.

Get yourself covered in blood - just slaughter a beast in the Borean Tundra - and then jump in the water. It'll wash right off and create the perfect fishing spot.
