This is a nice addition with the recent patch. It will be expensive to simply buy these and avoid raising reputation through quests.

It will however, be a very nice boost to raising Hodir reputation even quicker with the inevitability of obtaining these from doing the daily quests.

Exalted? Awesome. Sell them on the Auction House! Alternatively, I've been seeing many players asking for these in the general chat for Storm Peaks. There's a good chance you could even advertise there occasionally! :]

It's a chain quest, starting in K3.
Just do all quest and chains you got from K3 and sooner or later you will be able to interact with Hodir ppl.

This quest is especially useful for those who are just starting out the Hodir rep grind. If you do a few of these turn ins early on, you can quickly move to friendly, honored, and eventually revered. Each new level of reputation allows you to complete more quests. This means that the amount of rep available for each day of dailies increases as your reputation increases. At revered, a dozen turn ins is only worth about 1 day's dailies, at friendly, it's the same as doing dailies for several days straight. Do this quest at the beginning and then let the dailies take over.

so its not one of those where you can only turn these quests in until, say, friendly then you cant do it anymore? doesnt sound like it with the comments but just wanted to verify.

Especially since the quest line that opens up the Sons of Hodir as a faction lands you at honored and not friendly, as it was before 3.3.

If this is true then its even less than 63 stacks of 10 isn't it?

All that being said... if you have an 80 main that did the much slower rep grind already then with the 3.3 change that introduced BOA head and shoulder enchants (meaning you can buy a chant that requires exalted status and then mail it to any other toon you have on the realm) its not so important to get the rest to exalted status.

But if you have a JC or a Tailor then yes getting exalted is still necessary if you want to access the patterns:

But there are still far faster ways to get exalted...

Dungeon finder for heroics... Emblem of Triumph have become SO easy to come by this would be a much faster way to attain exalted status.

So.. 33000 / 520 = 63.46 (64) emblems

or

39000 (starting at friendly) / 520 = 75 emblems

And that can be attained in under a week by just doing a 3 or 4 heroics a day if you average 6 emblems per random heroic since the fact that you do a random gets you 2 emblems right off the bat and then 1 from each of the 3 to 5 bosses found in the dungeon itself and I'm not even counting the rep you'd get by wearing one of the factions tabards.

Yea 3.3 has made rep grinding anything BUT a grind

vs buying relics of ulduar off AH (<1 minute) + flying out and turning in (~3 minutes) = under 5 minutes ...
vs "under a week" ? far faster? epic fail.

if you dont have the badges, AH is def the way to go if you want "faster"

(seriously use it--it saved 10-15 minutes of clicking), I was able to go from Hated to Exalted in 2-3hrs. 100g for ~450 relics on my server's AH.

But what to do when you are at war with this faction? Can I still go there and turn in the relics? I got about 500 of them.
