The eggs that you need to pick up are quite small and don't glitter as obviously as some quest objectives do. You might need to actually look for these ones. Some report finding theirs around the area of 72 21, but I found mine around 74.14 22.20

For those without an addon to give co-ordinates, consider using one called TomTom. If you do not want to, then some simple directions are:

- stand on or near the quest-giver
- your minimap - assuming you have it zoomed out - will show black patches in the snow to the east of you / your right
- go to those and look around the roots of the trees
- if you cannot see any, go in a circle around the group and then move to another group
- remember to look in the middles of the groups of trees, as they sometimes spawn there too

Get started. I am already seeing players doing circles, around the groups of trees - as they realise that the quest is a quick way to finish off the 100 that they need.

This quest was added to Zul'Drak in patch Patch 3.0.8

These eggs do glitter... Perhaps it's your graphic settings? The eggs are located around the trees near Gundrak. I found 2-3 eggs around the base of each tree.

The eggs are located in the clumps of trees around 72, 20 just outside of Gundrak. You'll see them glittering among the thorny roots of the trees.

Wow people just love to downrank helpful comments now. The trees are obvious to see, stop trying to be a smart ass. The eggs glitter exactly like any other quest objective, regardless of their size. So it was most likely your graphics settings.

The quest is so easy. Just look for the trees with raptors nearby. There are eggs under them and they are really shiny so its easy to find them. I found 2-3 eggs at the places with 4-5 trees (big black terrain places on minimap) and 1 egg at the places with 2-3 trees (small black terrain places on minimap). Took me exactly 118 seconds to finish. I counted yes :)
The black terrained places are between the camp and Gundrak where the raptors are like I said before. Waiting for respawns would not be smart just go to another tree bunch.

the eggs also drop off the raptors patrolling the area in case you're having problems finding them on the ground.

People should not be giving the comments about the slow respawn rate of the eggs negative rating. I have experimented with this quest and it is definitely true that there is a problem with the respawn rate of the eggs on around the trees. It took me over 20 minutes to finish this quest because I had to rely on grinding raptors for the majority of the eggs. But the raptors are few in number and have a drop rate of around 10-20%.

If you are pressed for time I would definitely recommend skipping this quest until blizzard fixes it, unless you catch it at a good time and there are plenty of eggs on the ground.

Go to 72 19 and look for the Gundrak Rapptors. You'll see all the areas where they are dark and thick with trees. Start looking for the eggs there and yep you will fight some too.

Doing this quest right now... I like having to run around looking for the eggs, I feel like a 4 year old going on an Easter Egg hunt hehe, & well they ARE pretty eggs after all... *Arctic Hare hops by* :O

I found 5 Eggs at 73,21.

Also the eggs seem to be piled into the small forested areas in the snow.

I was having trouble at first, then I moved south of where I received the quest and completed it pretty quick.

If you are using questhelper just ignore the arrow. I followed it and there are limited eggs. Just go to all the patches of trees from south or the questgiver and move northwest. they will be in the trees and on the edges..

I looked around the trees quite a while for these eggs, which I found near the base of the larger tree. Also, be sure to kill the raptors near the area, while they give the eggs too.

Can't pick up the eggs for some reason.
Dropped the quest and picked it back up and still can't collect the eggs.
Not having any drop from raptors either.

I just watched some other guy pick one up without any trouble.

Skip this quest. It's a single quest, there's no followups. Will save you a lot of time. There's not enough eggs and you can barely see them. I spent about 20 minutes doing it...

72, 29 is a good spot.I got 5 eggs there.You can also kill the raptors for eggs though the drop rate is too low and there are only few raptors.

Why did they add this quest in a patch? Werent there enough quests in Zul Drak already? Seems a little pointless.

Anyone else have an issue with the last sentence of the quest description:

Sometimes the raptors carry 'em to keep 'em warm, too.

Poikilothermal animals (body temperature follows the variations in temperature of the surrounding medium) in a wintery landscape. Must be magical raptors? :P

Why would you sacrifice raptor eggs to a statue to get help, when you can just give one as a reward to pet collecting adventurers and get more help than what the statue will give

If you got some time at hand, I recommend farming the Gundrak Raptors, which also drop the eggs at a rather low rate, but also have the even far lower chance of dropping the Gundrak Hatchling pet.

tl;dr Don't kill the raptors, find the eggs.

Me and my friend were playing together while talking on Skype. We did our usual ritual of grabbing every quest, then looking on the map for where to do them. We found that the raptor egg quest was nearby, so we got started. I moused over the raptors and saw that the raptors dropped the eggs, so I concluded that that's how we were supposed to get them.

So, we started killing raptors and found that the drop rate was quite low. It was 5:00 am, so we made a little game... after looting a raptor, we had to quickly come up with a movie or show title with the word "raptor" inserted in it before the next raptor was killed.

About a half hour of deranged giggling later we'd gone through such gems as "Raptorzilla", "Raptor Wars: Return of the Raptor.", and "Tenage Mutant Ninja Raptors." Then, my friend made a noise I can only describe as the sound one would make immediatly after being told that one had won the lottery, and then informed me that there were in fact about 6 eggs sitting on the ground in his immediate vicinity. So yeah, we were done about 12 seconds later.

The moral of the story is: If you don't want to waste an hour, don't bother with the raptors, although it was crazy fun anyway.

Eggs are pretty easy to see, in my opinion. Found them quick and easy around the edges of the trees and roots, and even with my (very) low video settings, they sparkled pretty well. Eggs are an orange sherbet color with light spots.

This does not lead to a Gundrak dungeon quest chain or anything, it's just one single quest (and can be done in like 2 minutes if you have flying). 36380 XP at 77, Wrath Classic.
