Unless it's crowded, this daily version of Discipline is perhaps the quickest and easiest of the Brunnhildar Village dailies. However, it also has less of a reward than the others: just at 80 instead of .

Your targets are the seated Exhausted Vrykul who can be found throughout Forlorn Mine. Don't try to attack them; just use the provided Disciplining Rod on them. There's a chance the vrykul will choose to fight, but their only attack of note is Desperate Blow, which does 200% damage, but also stuns them for three seconds.

As a tank who is effectively immune to Daze, I ignore the hostile vrykul entirely and just run from one target to the next. It usually only takes me a few minutes, with the main limitations being the rod's cooldown or lack of spawns when it's crowded.

This quest kinda leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I mean, disciplining the peons at Netherwing was ok because they're fel orcs. But... disciplining captured vrykul? Ugh, I guess it's worth it for the bear.

ive done this quest when it wasnt a daily, but now i only get the quest for the eggs and the kick ass in the pit quest. does anyone know why?

Just this morning I received the "not eligible" message at Gretta after turning in "Back to the Pit." I have been able to do the other two dailies (Aberrations Must Die and Defending Your Title) without a problem - and I've been Honored with SoH for quite a while, so I doubt SoH rep's an eligibility factor. This is the only daily so far that I've never been offered. My only thought, and the reason I came here, was that maybe I had left a required item in the bank. The description above would seem to suggest that the Disciplining Rod is provided at the time the quest is given - the way most quests are. Can someone confirm this?

Interesting note that happened today.

Another player attacked the Exhausted Vrykul, tagging it and aggroing it. I ran up and smacked it with the rod anyways, and it gave me credit for it.

I doubt however it would work if someone had already disciplined it and it walks off.

To most of the above:
It is random which daily quest you can get for each day. You are able to get up to 2 dailies (randomly, most of the time just one).

I found out this earlier today: If you want to grab some relics of ulduar while doing this quest, in my case it works 100% out of the tries to first: Aggro him, do a little bit of damage (in my case this was flameshock), then use your rod on him. That way, every time I tried I would get the "angry" messages from the Vrykuls and be able to kill them as well as getting my quest completed.

As a rogue, I found that I can also sap exhausted vrykyul before using the rod on them. This was faster than waiting for Vanish/Shadowmeld to cool down and let me get back to more profitable dailies. :)

One good way to do this quick (for mages) is do polymorph the exhausted vrykyul before hitting him with the rod. If he decieds to attack you he remains sheeped, if he decides to go back to work he will simply break the spell.

If you are doing this quest and are close to death or just want to leave combat, there is a crack in the wall at the far back corner of the second tunnel on the left side. Just sit in there for a few seconds and they will leave you alone.

I did the quest but i dident got and rep with "The sons of hodir" =(. I chould start questing with them yesturday but is there only 1 daily when you are neutral with them?

With these daily quests, i have some weird problem. I used to do these every day, but suddenly a tauren came up and killed Gretta the Arbiter. When she respawned, there was no quest for me to pick. It simply says "We serve Thorim, sister." It is now impossible for me to do these quests, there for i cant get my polar bear mount. before i open a ticket, i was wondering if maybe someone else has had this problem, and knows how to fix it. I would really like to do these dailies (I actually find them the funnest in the game). Please help

I attempted to do this quest as a daily today on my Druid... I had logged out in the Storm Peaks the night before, with no dailies in my quest log. I log in, take this quest and head off to the mines to do it. I get to the mines, target an Exausted NPC and use the quest item on him. He proceeds to return to work and I do not get credit for it. So... I go around, every single NPC does the same thing, or attacks me. Never giving me credit.

So for curiosity's sake, I log into my Hunter and attempt the same quest... Same thing, target an Exausted NPC and use the quest item on him. DING, gives me credit. I finish the quest no problem and log back into my Druid. Still no go. I attempted it in, and out of any form. I ditched the quest, took it again, still occuring...

I am also not getting credit for hitting the Vrykul with my rod on my paladin, has anyone submitted a ticket about this problem?
