This quest is classified under "The Storm Peaks" in the quest log (probably incorrectly) as of patch 3.0.3 and will not contribute to the Icecrown quest count.

Now, I'm not saying that anyone is, but if you are as dumb as I am and you teleport before finishing the quests, simply fly back to the hole, dismount, and you'll fall back down to meet your doom...er, quest.

Now I don't have any proof of this but going on the fact that as others have stated about the boys name, would it not be a sensible conclusion that the strange organ in the ice is in fact Arthas's heart? It is afterall directly under Arthas's seat of power and its not a far stretch to imagine him tearing his heart out as he no longer needs it.
