Anyone else having problems with Murp not always spawning whether you control Wintergrasp or not?

Alright, here's how to find him. If you go at any random time to your landing site or the keep when a battle isn't scheduled any time soon, he'll most likely be there. However, both at the start and end of a battle, I assume as part of the process that resets Wintergrasp, EVERY quest NPC despawns. A few minutes after the start of the battle or the end of it, they'll spawn where they're supposed to be, either at the landing camp or in the fortress.

Edit - Example Process:

Alliance controls WG, 30 minutes until battle
He is spawned at the Flight Point
or
Horde controls WG, 30 minutes until battle
He is spawned in the Fortress

Battle Begins
He is despawned
About 5 minutes into battle
He respawns at wherever he was before the battle started

Battle Ends
He is again despawned
About 5 minutes after battle
He respawns in Fortress if Horde won, at the base camp if Alliance won

I was in one vehicle for like half the battle - thing finally got destroyed....
no credit...

so much for piloting...not sure how to "defend"

No matter what I do I don't seem to get credit.

It's very touchy how this quest works
from what i've seen, here is the requirement
that you attack, and aid in killing a player of the opposite faction, who is attacking a vehicle, that destroys a wall/structure

yeah, convoluded

the best way i've seen for this to be completed is in the last minutes of wintergrasp, when the keep door is being attacked. If there are three vehicles that all aide in destroying a single wall, and you defend all three, you get full credit for the quest.

i hope this helps you all out.

It looks like you if have this quest, you cannot also have Stop the Siege at the same time.

So make sure you have the proper one depending on if your side is attacking or defending. You need to drop this if your side is on defense to get Stop the Siege.

Fyi: This is a Wintergrasp zone quest,

all quests in this zone are repeatable dailys
all quests in this zone can be started at level 78.
You can see the current "time until next wintergrasp match" timer on your map anytime by looking at the world map of northrend, and clicking on the wintergrasp zone.
All quests in this zone award Stone Keeper's Shard

Basicly, when leveling in Northrend, when you hit level 78, a pvp-minded player should start to make a point of droping by Wintergrasp ever 2.5 hours for the event, and pick up these quests.

Now because of blizzard's stupid WG nerf, this q can be completed only once a week and reward is 10x stone shard and over 3k honor at 80.

I've researched a little about the "weekly quests" and it appears to count the week from the day you take the quest. In other words, If you havn't got them done before a week, you'll be able to take them already next day (Perfect if you're playing on other characters and just cba to do the quests immediatly. Take them and do them after 6-7 Days) ;D

I have a question.

If I am on offense and complete Defend the Siege and play again as defense (before any weekly quest timer resets) will I also be able to complete Stop the Siege? Or are they counted as the same quest for the sake of your weekly (or bi-weekly technically) quest timers?

Defend the Siege

Lieutenant Murp in Wintergrasp wants you to defend or pilot a siege vehicle while they destroy three Alliance structures.

Siege devices can be built by ranked Horde players at the Goblin Workshops.
