If you somehow see her as hostile but it says friendly when you try to attack her, just try getting out of brunnhildar village, when you lose the costume go back and she'll be there with the "?" over her head and you can talk to her. :)

I reloaded my ui to enable an addon and when I got back everything was red but friendly. Note: dont reload there. :p

Despite the completion text about never coming back, you can come back.

You get your costume back when you return to the area, at which point you can finish off any quests in the area, and also take a random daily quest from the area.
