Thunderfall is the frozen battle scene to the north of Frostfield Lake and northeast of Dun Niffelem. Use Hodir's Horn over Niffelem Forefather, Restless Frostborn Ghost and Restless Frostborn Warrior corpses to receive quest credit. Both ghosts and warriors count for the Restless Frostborn credit. Make sure you loot before you use the horn, though, as the corpse will disappear.

One of two (or more) dailies that is so hard to do if you are on a high populated server.

There are maybe 5 giants at most around the area. That's nice, but the problem is they got a low spawn rate and there isn't just only one person there doing the daily.

Not to mention people can easily come up to your mob after you killed it and ninja it before you blow the horn.

As of Sunday, 7 December 2008 the error message "Target is tapped." appears if you attempt to use your horn on a Frostborn or Giant that you or a group member did not kill. The sound of the horn will still play, but the effect will not occur.

This quest is AWFUL if you're on something of a populated server.

Like others have said, the forefather's are rare -- attempt to do this early or very late server time :D

I'm starting to grind out Sons of Hodir rep and when I tried to do this daily yesterday, it was all glitched out. Everytime I'd kill one of the dwarves or giants and blew the horn *ahem* on their corpse, I wouldn't get credit. I guildmate recommended that I drop the quest and restart it and the same problem persisted

It appears that since the last patch, the mobs spawn more frequently. I haven't had any problems getting 10 mobs, even with many people doing the quest at the same time. The respawn was almost too fast, a new forefather kept spawning while I was still fighting the origional one at that spot.

Go to Thunderfall in Storm Peaks (72, 50) and kill five Forefathers and five Frostborns. As you kill each one, first loot, then click on the corpse to target it, then blow the horn you were provided with the quest. The corpse will be set free and float into the air. Do this Daily along with Hot and Cold which is nearby. Doing these two quests along with the third Dun Niffelem Daily (Polishing the Helm) can net you a thousand reputation with The Sons of Hodir - 250 from each of the quests and another 250 from turning in ten Relics of Uldar that you will probably pick up doing the three Dailies. For more rep each day, just grind for the relics which you turn in as Hodir's Tribute with Lillehoff (66.2, 61.4), the quartermaster for The Sons of Hodir.

Though this quest is by no means difficult, I've found that it's even easier if you start from the eastern edge of the plateau (coords 74.5, 50) and going counter-clockwise around the perimeter. The undead are spread a little more thinly there, and there's much less chance of drwing aggro.

Name changed from "Blowing Hodir's Horn" to "Hodir's Call" since as usual because of a vocal minority and PR scandals we cannot have funny things.
People really need to stop drinking the social media Kool-Aid...

As you silently ponder its significance, feelings begin to flood your heart. The feelings fill your mind with thoughts and images... as well as a sense of urgency.

The sensations fade and leave you with a knowledge of what you must do. The restless spirits at Thunderfall must be put to rest.

As you set off, you find that your hands have been filled with an ethereal horn.
