Not fun on a ret pally, since we do not have a method of pulling mobs until 3.0.8 comes out. We can use ez-throw dynamite but not on mobs in the air. what i had to do was fly up to one and either dismount/judge it or just let it follow me to the ground.

Edit: just to add to my above comment, some of them flew low enough to be able to judge from the ground, however most i had to fly to.

Im a retard, they are undead so I can pull with exorcism.

Note: If your a Hunter, and you had your pet out when you accepted this quest, you might see your pet "flying" with you. Now, when you are circling the tower, you might find that you are not able to "hook-on" to the other NPC's.

To solve this, put your pet away, then try again. I've just had this happen to me, and dismissing my pet solved the problem.

There seems to be a minor bug, that when you get on the NPC mount, your pet does not automatically dismiss, like it would for a player mount.

Not sure if this would affect warlocks or not?

Not fun for a rogue cause you cant ambush or anything. but you can kick em when they use that chain thing..... so thats an ups.

Do this quest with Yulda's Folly and Aberrations as they are all completed in the same area.

I could do this quest as an alliance player although wowhead classifies it as a horde quest.

Now this is quite a pain for Hunters! No pet, No range, gonna come up with a solution and edit!

Edit: Impossible for hunters? I could only get them down to 50% hp before i had to leap on, then my melee aint that strong so i loose at least 50% before i kill him.

omg.. i done this quest plenty of times... then on my hunter... i do this quest... then realize my weapon skill is at freaken 250...

There are 4 quests that you should plan to complete on this run. They are Off With Their Black Wings (this one), Yulda's Folly, and Aberrations, and Valkyrion Must Burn, which you will pick up after killing Yulda.

All of these are at 22,59. If you don't have coords, look on your Storm Peaks map. It is in the far west part of the zone, just above the "O" in "Valkyrion".

For Aberrations, you need to kill the Valkyrion Aspirants . The drop rate isn't very good, but they will drop the Frost Oil that you need to freeze the eggs. You will need 5 or 6 of the oils. Once you have them, head for the blighted pool. You will see eggs scattered around in bunches. The frost oil is an aoe thing, so you can freeze several eggs at once. Freeze 'em until you're done.

For Off With Their Black Wings, you need to kill the Nascent Val'kyr. They're all over the place. Can't find 'em? Look up. They're the glowing, flying mobs. If you really can't find them, stay put and they'll find you. (Or you're just in the wrong place).

For Yulda's Folly, go to the house at 22,60 (just off the southwest corner of the blighted pool). Yulda is in there. You will also pick up another quest, Valkyrion Must Burn. That comes from a large chest that is next to Yulda, so don't forget to pick it up after you've killed her.

For Valkyrion Must Burn, head for 27,60. To the east of the blighted pool there is a sort of traffic circle with a blue flame. Just north of that are two harpoon guns that you can mount. Get on one and aim for the haystacks near the buildings. There may be only 2 or 3 within range, so you may need to wait for respawns after you burn them, but they respawn pretty fast. The only thing to watch out for on this one is the Nascent Val'kyrs may attack you while you're on the harpoon gun, so be ready to jump off and kill one or two of them.

You will find Valkyrion far to the northwest, beyond the Temple of Storms. Slay these winged she-wolves, sister. Slay them and I will reward you with one of my most prized possessions.
