Very good story about this Quest & the one's with it. Very sad, but very heroic and legendary about it too :) Gerk is drowning in a vat of poison, and all he can think about it taking out the guys who killed his brother and friend.

I love these quests where you have to kill 15 of this, they put out 10 and 1000 people are trying to kill them all with a very slow spawn rate. They're all in Dargath's Demise and you can find some on the very edge where you wouldn't normally think to look. I found a few while killing banshees, so don't assume they're confined to the one spot. Still, there's a relative few of them and you'll spend some time on this quest if there are a few people hunting them.

Mages can steal the plague shield buff off of these to absorb 1500 damage. It lasts for the maximum 2 minute duration.

Sadly, killing Vargul while mounted on Gymer no longer gives credit towards this quest.

I suspect they mean "grisly" meaning "inspiring disgust or distaste" rather than "grizzly", which tends to refer to the bear.

I never really leveled through Zul'Drak much, only to do the Drakuru chain and get the hell out which usually meant skipping most of these quests.

While leveling through Shadowmoon Valley I really built up a hatred for Illidan and actually wanted to kill him but I used to complain that Northrend doesn't build up your hate enough with the Lich King, I mean, when I was skipping through Zul'Drak, I wanted to join Drakuru and help lead the Scourge army.

This quest was enough to cancel out any others and fuel the fire that is my anger, after doing this quest I was taking every chance to kill any and every Scourge I came across.

Slaughtered him like he was some sort of animal. Now they got him laid out on one of their tables on the other side of the camp, ready for their grizzly experiments. Dargath's dead too. The paladin made a heroic stand at the ruins to the northeast, but the leader of the Vargul, Algar, was too strong.

I'm all that's left and I'll be dead soon too. I... I'm turning.

If the Light won't grant me vengeance, maybe you will, <class>. Kill them all.
