The objective here is pretty self-explanitory. You must duel 5 Death Knight players and win,the reward is obviously a nice PvP trinket mocking Insignia of the Alliance and Insignia of the Horde.

If you can't find a player controlled Death Knight to duel, you can challenge any NPC Death Knight that is running around Death's Breach. They are extremely easy to defeat, although they seem to vary in difficulty.

Atm, in the eu beta servers the quest giver is unreachable.

Edit, Only way to get is to do macro which contains /script AcceptQuest {} , and jump and spam this macro, with luck you will get it before wotlk ships out to stores.

Oh and to get the quest reward do the same but change the macro to /script GetQuestReward{} .

This quest appears mandatory to progress. So if you thought you could skip it, not noticing the talent point reward, tough luck.

For some reason when I was doing this quest it was only giving me credit for defeating Death Knights when I dueled an NPC Death Knight.

I had heard that sometimes it was so bad there where so many people sitting around a yelling in /4 saying LF1M Death's Challenge Tradeing Wins. Because the NPC's where getting spawn camped.

The quickest way to do this imho is to do the following:

Group with a fellow Death Knight, let them know which quest you're trying to complete and make sure that they already have it too.
Initiate 5 duels. Regardless of who wins these five duels you will get credit for both wins (example: if your party member wins, then you get credit, if you win, then you get credit.)

Seems to be the best all round solution rather than camping NPCs or randomly challenging 5 people.

I laughed out loud at the exchange when you challenge a Death Knight Initiate...

Death Knight Initiate says: Remember this day, <Character Name>, for it is the day that you will be thoroughly owned.

It's possible for the Death Knight Initiates to kill you. Their Plague Strike disease doesn't go away when the duel ends. I won a duel with 100 health left and the Blood Plague killed me.

It counted as an environment death too, so my gear took a hit (not that that mattered).

if you want to go the hard way, you can actualy challenge 2 of those.. But its way harder than 1 at time
Simply just find a place with 2 of those initiate and duel both (Very fast)
Try it if you think you are good eneough :-)

this is just a cool thing I noticed.. but if you win a duel against an NPC DK before the blood plague attack finishes u turn green for a while.. and if U mount up while under the effect your deathcharger's hooves turn bright green

Appears to be an odd bug associated with this quest, where if you save this quest for last, there's a very small number of Death Knight Initiates around. It seems the horsemen quest has some phasing involved.

this area is still really bugged..
especially this quest. I did after the horsemen, and there seemed to be NO dk's at all.. then suddenly 6 just popped out. Duel em and win, pretty easy. However, i encountered another bug, i spammed skills a little too much, and around 1000hp left, the opponent NPc just disappeared :s
so took me a while. but necessary

Bugged for me aswell, only 4 initiates around and now im stuck.

If the quest bugs on you and you can't see any Initiates nearby, relog. It fixes the phasing for it.

If you can't find any Death Knights to dual, just relog they all suddenly appear. Hah hah !@#$in' HA

If there arent any other dk's around you can easily kill the death knight initiates that are all over the place.

Currently, in the beta, dueling players does not work, despite the quest text saying you can. Does not work out of party, in party, nor either faction (both friendly and opposite).

Please report this, release is likely going to be hectic and NPC spawns are limited.
