It appears like the reward is random. I received a Stylish Toe Ring: https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=43521 that vendored for 5 gold. So don't worry about the toe lint always the next day for a better reward (sort of like getting the Mariner's Log from the Outland fishing dailies).

There is currently an issue with this quest. If you complete Troll Patrol only a few seconds before the On Patrol timer/buff expires and you do not click Complete Quest on this quest before On Patrol fades, you will not be able to complete it even if the NPC has already offered it to you.

I completed Troll Patrol today with only a few seconds left and was offered this quest. When I clicked on the "Complete Quest" button nothing happened. Upon closing the window the blue "!" was still above the NPCs head but he no longer offered the quest. When I relogged the "!" was gone.

I petitioned a GM and he told me that there were "several other petitions citing the same problem."

The GM was not able to do anything about the experience or reputation I missed out on so do your best to complete Troll Patrol with enough time to spare in order to avoid this problem.

So, over a few days of doing this series of dailies, I've noticed that the rewards seem somewhat… lacking. I've been tracking all the dailies I've done, and these were no exception. What I did find out after doing a little math may put you off doing this series in favor of others*.

(Please note that I'm writing this from the view of a lv80 character, and will not discuss XP rewards.)

The Troll Patrol set of dailies are started by talking to Commander Kunz, who tells you to head out and do the tasks assigned to you by 4 others. Three are Captains whose dailies vary between a set of three, and the final one, Alchemist Finklestein.

It should be noted that the gold reward at lv80 is a static (and small) 3g18s for EVERY Troll Patroll sub-quest.

The first stop on your patrol is Captain Brandon. He offers you one of three possible dailies, Troll Patrol: Can You Dig It?, Troll Patrol: High Standards, or Troll Patrol: Something for the Pain. Each of these rewards 75 rep with The Argent Crusade.

The second stop will be Captain Rupert, who offers Troll Patrol: Done to Death & Troll Patrol: Throwing Down for 75 rep each, or Troll Patrol: Intestinal Fortitude which rewards a whopping 250 rep.

Third, we have Captain Grondel, offering Troll Patrol: Couldn't Care Less & Troll Patrol: Creature Comforts at 75 rep apiece, and Troll Patrol: Whatdya Want, a Medal? offering a paltry 25 rep.

Fourth and finally, Alchemist Finklestein offers Troll Patrol: The Alchemist's Apprentice, which requires you to run around like an idiot in his lab for 75 rep.

So, if we were to average the rep reward for each stop, it would look like this:

Captain Brandon: 75
Captain Rupert: ~133
Captain Grondel: ~58
Alchemist Finklestein: 75

Added together, this is a mean average of 341 rep, or ~85 rep per daily over 4 dailies, as well as the gold reward total of 12g72s.

But, we haven't figured in the Troll Patrol rewards yet, and assuming you complete the entire patrol before you timer buff wears out, we also need to figure in Congratulations!.

(It shouldn't be a problem to complete these quests within 20 minutes, unless you're on a PvP server, in which case, good luck.)

Troll Patrol adds 250 rep and 12g69s, while Congratulations adds 350 rep and 19g05s.

This brings our total mean average rewards up to 941 rep and 44g46s, or an equated average of ~157 rep and 7g41s per daily over 6 dailies. Even as a best case scenario, you can only get a max of 1075 rep and the aforementioned gold*.

The reality of this series of dailies is, if you're looking to make gold, avoid them at all costs. There are far more lucrative dailies to be run out there. If you're looking to grind Argent Crusade rep, this and Slaves to Saronite are really your only options, unfortunately.

*I didn't include the contents of the Patroller's Pack you get as a reward from Congratulations!, since it's contents can vary in value from a few silver to several gold, or have a value completely based on your server's economy. I leave it up to those reading this to decide if it's worth going after.

if you are for this fancy reward (with that nice warm feeling inside), i suggest you start it backwards, alchemist's quest first. it's the most time consuming if you make an error (and you will at first). if you couldnt complete the lab fuzzle within 2 tries (5-7 min) you should drop your daily and retake it at the Commander Kunz, timer will be reset and you can push training your memory again :>

Edit: Also, if you missed the timer by several seconds and so upset about it you want to start over - you can do it on every stage of the quest. Even if you did 1-4 patroller's quests they all will be reset once you drop the main quest, and you will be able to do them again that day, losing only 1-4 points to the daily quests counter.

You get this quest in your mid 70's. My suggestion,earn the early Argent Crusade Reputation at that level by doing this quest. At ~ Level 75 there's very limited daily quests for The Argent Crusade,if not any but this.

...watch-out for one very important thing... DONT HIT THE LIMIT OF 25 DAILY QUESTS DONE... else u will NOT BE ABLE to complete this quest...

:D this bullsh** happened just be4 to me... i made all the prereq. dailys for this ... i had more then 3-4 minutes left ... and when i wanted to take my reward for good time... i couldnt xD

I did this quest yesterday, and it yielded 500 Argent Crusade reputation. So now the total amount of reputation earnable with daily quests is 1100 now.

I prefer to wait until lvl 80, buy the Tabard and run some heroics. Plus you get the epic badges.

Not sure if it's a bug, I just completed troll patrol with 3 mins to spare, alt tabbed to read something on wowhead, went back into WoW, the 20 minute timer had expired and while Kunz had the blue exclamation mark over his head when i talk to him he offers no quest.

Ok I just did this quest and I had never noticed what clock the rest of the posts was referring to. The original Troll Patrol quest has a timer of about 20 minutes. This is the time in which you need to do all of the other 4 quests in. I started with the alchemy quest first, since it is the one that usually takes the longest for me and then proceeded to do the other quests. At the time someone else was doing the quest and killed my mobs. Thus, I had to wait for respawns. Don't sit and wait for anything. Go to the other posts and do the quests while the other mobs respawn. You cut time that way.

Also, keep an eye on the timer. You can more or less gauge if you are going to be able to complete the main quest on time - which is what awards you the ability to do the Congratulations! quest. If by any chance you see that you are starting the last quest and you are almost out of time, abandon all of the quests and exit the game. Somehow this resets the quest and restarts the clock.

Abandoning the quest alone won't do it. I know I tried it. The clock continues to click after abandoning the quests. So when you accept the quest again and complete it you will still not be allowed to do the Congratulations! quest.

I know this may take longer, but it does guarantee you 500 points towards that Argent Crusade quest we all want. Good luck.

I may have missed it if my inquiry has already been posted,but I have not as of yet been offered a choice of which quest I want to do from any of these quest givers.I'm given one option each.Do they offer you a choice after you have been doing them for some time,or is it early on? I've got honored rep atm,not sure if that makes a difference.

Fortunately, for Druids, possible to do the whole thing in 10 minutes. Did that because I thought it was a 10 minute, not 20 minute timer and really rushed... sigh... Probably possible for anyone with Epic Flyer to do close to 10 minutes, though you need to dismount to pick up/use things. Plus the cast time on your flying mount... It is possible though, just rushing!

Its easy to do as a druid in 20 minutes.
I did it less than 10 minutes.
Feral spec helps running reagents and picking up items in fly form is kinda cheat.

I was ganked when i had the timer on, when i resurrected the buff was missing. Anybody completed the quest and get the congratulation after they were ganked?

this DOES count as a daily and you CANNOT turn in if you have done 25/25
i didnt think it would be considered as a daily, so now i cant get my scruffy toe lint

People have been mentioning that you can drop the main quest and restart the quests part way through... I'm wondering, do you keep the rep (and/or moneh) you already gained from the sub-quests this way? because if this is the case, wouldn't you be able to farm these for rep (moneh!) continuously? I'll check tomorrow and post again, if nobody has replied yet.

Reward for completing all 4 quests within 20 minutes - can all be done in 12 minutes if you're level 80.

Awards a total of 49g 46s (including Congratulations quest and selling the vendor item you get most often for 5g)

Completed this today as the clock timer just dropped to 10 minutes remaining. Level 80 Death Knight with an epic flyer and two points in On a Pale Horse (20% movement speed works on flying mounts) and 15% increased walking speed from Unholy Presence. Definitely recommend doing the alchemist first, and recommend stopping by there before you pick up the daily and having a look around the shelves to refresh your memory and get a feel for where things are before you have to worry about a clock timer.

There is no longer a rep gain with the 4 side quests of this daily set, you get 350 rep for the Troll Patrol and 500 rep for this.
