Soloable by a level 71 Blood Death Knight (overpowered, I know). Used Chains of Ice to kite him to outside of the tower and then Vampiric Blood and Rune Tap along with Death Strike to heal myself.

72 DK and 73 Hunter duoed it. Make sure you don't fight on the steps; he likes to evade bug.

Keep in mind you have to do Flight of the Wintergarde Defender before you can get the quest from the Wanted Poster in the Inn!

Easily soloable as a warlock, but should work as any ranged. If you face the tower, the right side has a crack. Pull him down to the bottom of the tower and stand next to the crack. Jump down and he will take the long way to get to you. When he starts to get close, jump back up the crack and he will take the long way again. Repeat until he's dead.

Solo him as a sl/felguard warlock. Dot+health funnel took sometime, but a pretty easy fight. Watch out for adds and try to take them out when you can.

Soloed as a 73 Blood DK. Didn't kite him or anything, Death Strike, Imp. Rune Tap, Blood Worms, and Blood Aura was enough to keep me topped off throughout the fight.

Ran into him before I had the quest, at 72. Prot paladin, Kara level gear. Soloed. Yes, it took a while, used LoH and had to bubble as well. Ran into him w/o prep and dragging mobs from the lower levels (I was happily exploring). So I'd say that a well geared tankadin at 72/73 could solo it with some ease if prepared for it.

Came back as 74 and mopped him up handily. The most significant change being I was prepared that time, naturally. ;)

Very much soloable by some classes.

For a Feral Druid I didn't even have to pop all my cooldowns - Bear Form - and just beat him down, no Potion, no Frenzied Regen. I did pop Barkskin twice.

Soled it as unholy spec 75 DK. He does a whirlwind, step out of it, otherwise no problems, use Death Strike to heal yourself, pop your Gargoyle. I finished the fight with about 40% health left. Location confirmed, top of tower at 87.38.

Soloed as a 75 Balance Druid with TBC Heroic epics / some blues. Run up the tower, clearing any of the masons at the sides that might aggro mid-fight. Get into LoS of him and he'll aggro, so no time to cast long spells before engaging.

Immediately pop Barkskin and Moonfire, then let loose your treants. Keep pummeling him with Wrath until you get the Starfire version of Eclipse, then switch until you get the Wrath version, etc. Whenever you get to about half-health, start using up your heals (health potion, Lifeblood if you're a herbalist, switching out for a Regrowth, etc.).

Make sure to keep Barkskin up, and use Innervate when you need to. You can't root or stun this guy, so it's just a matter of keeping the damage up and a bit of relying on crits. I didn't bother stepping out of the whirlwind, as it lost me casting time.

And remember all you Night Elves: if the battle is going badly, run downstairs a bit and pop Shadowmeld to de-aggro him.

Not sure if anyone else experienced this, but Lustus would evade if I backed away too far from his whirlwind. I would only back down to the platform just below him (one set of stairs) or go up to the top of the tower, and he evaded and reset. Annoying. Only way I could beat him was to stay next to him on the stairs. 73 DK Blood spec.

Hiyas, Solo'd this.
Had the felguard tank. I kept Corruption and Siphon Life Up. Health Funneled almost nonstop, lifetapped to keep the pets mana up and had a healthstone ready if my life went too low, it never did. (I do have Lifeblood from Herbalism, which i did use)
Took a minute maybe two.

Soloed him as a level 73 Frost DK just keep him away with chains of ice and hit him with every range attack the frost dk has. fought him on the court next to the tower

Solo'd as a 74 BM hunter with a tenacity pet (gorilla to be exact). Speccing properly is kinda important and make sure you keep mend pet up at all times.

Send pet in first. tank 'em at the top of the step. Again, keep mend pet up and use scorpid sting to help with mitigation.

He's kitable for quite a long distance. As a Frost DK, I kited him down to about 50%, then finished him off in melee. Watch out for his Whirlwind, though.

Easy solo for many classes. He doesn't hit particularly hard, doesn't have that much health, he's snarable, and you can exploit the tower terrain to your advantage. However, he will evade bug if you're standing somewhere he can't reach, so the most reliable method is to aggro him and jump off the tower, and you can fight him out in the open if you like. He'll come down the long way and will chase you for awhile, so you can jump off and bandage if necessary.

Plate classes can straight up tank him into the ground.

Solo'd as both a level 74 prot warrior as well as a level 74 ele shaman.

My warrior could just run up to him and kill him without much thought. My ele shaman on the other hand had to pop every cooldown he had to make it out alive (elemental pets help as well). I only managed to kill him on second try. It seems like trying to avoid his whirlwind triggered the "evade-bug" so i had to heal through it.

Easily solo'd as a lvl 73 prot pally with quest tanking gear from BC and Early Northrend. Just keep up SoL and JoL with Holy shield and you should be fine. I didn't have to even use a cd and was above 75% probably 95% of the fight.

Tried to pull him down off the tower to prevent annoying evade bugs and he reset on me. I was only right in front of the tower so it wasn't really that far away from his spawn point... also not stunnable.

Soloed as a 71 BM hunter with a devilsaur pet. Clear around a bit, pet on passive, shoot him and jump down + frost trap to slow him a bit (you'll take a few melees (~1k) and if like me you have 7k HP you'll go down fast. Out the front door + aspect of the pact and kite him north, then east into grizzly hills :)

Got him to 80% then bestial wrath + others CD's and send pet in w/ cower on and growl off. Continue kiting as necessary.

Quite fun i must say.

Nothing special, only used Enraged Regeneration and - just in case while finishing him - Last Stand.

If you're a 71 rogue, don't even try to solo this. I'm using Heirloom shoulders, chest, daggers x2, bow and trinkets. Rest of my gear is from Nexus, Utgadre, and AN. I wasn't able to get this guy below 40%. He was hitting HARD.

Too easy. Soloed as lvl 77 retri paladin in basic blues/greens. Didnt pop LoH or bubble once. The only thing you need to worry about is his whirlwind but if you fight him up the stairs you just need to run down to avoid being hit then right up again. Didnt have to throw in HoL either just used AoW FoL every chance it proxxed. For this fight I had SoC, Retri aura and BoM up. Enjoy.

Soloable as a 63 protection paladin. Took around 4 mins to do however...
Just use seal of light and judgement of light, holy shield, concecration and hammer of Righteous. Also spank divine plea on at the start of fight. If you keep doing the said spells - Job done :)

Solod as a 73 affliction warlock with blues and heirloom BoA's. This is pretty straight forward if you can kite well, and you have Curse of Exhaustion.

What I did was this (Before you do this, be 100% certain that all the other monsters in and around the tower are dead as it can get quite hairy if you get adds): Aggro him, dot him up fully then jump down the tower. Quickly bandage then wait outside for him to come down and hit corruption again, then curse of exhaustion and pull himinto the big field of snow just outside, to the east. It's really just a matter of corruption > CoE,. He does do a speed increase which can get him closer to you so I used death coil the first time he hit me and second time I noticed him getting closer I used my voidwalker's sacrifice. Still had my healthstone to use but he was dead before I got that far into it.

I didn't even get lucky with Nightfall procs and this still only took a couple minutes.

Soloable as a 72 ret pally in heirlooms and NR quest rewards. Just fought him where he stands and ate his whirlwinds, popped divine shield early on then wings after that followed by divine protection toward the end of the fight (probably wasn't necessary). Used AoW procs to flash of light myself and used holy lights whenever I got a bit too low, the cast time of his whirlwind is a good time to squeeze in an unmolested heal.

Soloed as a 72 FG/SL lock. Pretty easy, took about a minute or so. Dont know why it says "requires 4 people" when theres a bunch of classes that can solo it.

easily soloable as spriest. Land on tower. Get aggro. DoT him. Float of tower. The adds in the tower will run away if you get him far enough away from the tower. Then just nuke as any other mob. easy cheesy,

Upon the northeastern path from Wintergarde a battalion of 7th Legion were ambushed and slain by Onslaught Commander Iustus and an army of mindless Scarlet Onslaught zealots. Such cold and calculated actions must be met with force!

Wintergarde demands justice! Seek out Onslaught Commander Iustus at Onslaught Base Camp to the northeast and end his miserable existence.

I will hand out the reward for this bounty to any who would dare take up the task!
