The Ghouls will spawn when you see a bunch of Conscripts run in. Follow them, tag Ghouls, win.

Captain Iskandar is trying to hold the 2 passes (East and Southeast) from the Scourge. He has a group of conscripts with him and moves from one pass to the other every ~2-3 mins of battle.
So, what you have to do is:
1) Locate the Captain, he's either on the East or the Southeast pass.
2) Stand between the conscripts and tag as many mobs you can. Don't get to aggressive though, abominations hit somewhat hard.

Tip: Follow Captain Iskandar arround and you will get many spawns and easily do your quest :)

Use an AoE ability once. Then just leave it to the guards. You'll get credit.

I had to go to the horde side to get the ghouls, only bad part is you need to fight the horde to but as long as you leave before everything is dead the horde stays busy with the attackers

Don't make the same mistake I did. I kept wondering why I was not getting credit for any of the kills. I mistakenly used and was trying to kill them with a pet dragon. THIS DOES NOT WORK. You simply follow "Captain Iskandar" (while on the ground) and tag as many mobs as you can before his party kills them.

The Ghouls showed up for me twice and in a half hour I was at 4 ghoul kills out of the 12. It is an annoying quest, but it's worth it in XP. GL :)

edit: at one point in time (just now actually) I saw in the distance a fight happening in the Ruby Dragonshire, I moved toward it, and wouldn't ya know...4 Ghouls for me to kill :) Since some conscripts move into Ruby Dragonshire more mobs will show up there everyonce in a while. Keep checking, and happy hunting :)

EASY enough to do (for a feral druid - hurricane!). Just follow Captain Iskandar from either of the caverns enterence to the other (East or Southeast); There, all the mobs you need to kill will spawn - wait for a second or two and aoe (if you have it). The Frigid Gouls spawn coming out of the ground like DK's pet ghouls do when the captain comes. Remember to follow the captain around!

Follow the captain. The ghouls spawn under the guard patrols as they move. If you're chasing the Captain and all of a sudden the whole herd grinds to a halt, get ready. There are going to be ghouls (maybe even multiple waves) of them shortly!

Find Captain Iskander either at 51.0, 52.4 or at 52.7, 46.3 and hit as many mobs as you can and him and his people will kill them. I was pulling aggro so I just resorted to white damage.

I had some trouble with this quest... All the required mobs EXCEPT the ghouls showed up about every 30 seconds. The ghouls on the other hand spawned about every 5 minutes! I wouldn't mind if all these kills gave EXP but since the dragon and defender NPC's are doing most of the damage, you do not get exp for MOST of the kills.

Don't forget, if you are having trouble killing stuff, just pull the mobs back to the NPC's and let them do all the work, all you have to do is his hit the required mobs once.

theres a bug with this quest.. i killed like 20 over ghoul attackers that spawned but they were never added to my count of kills in the quest..

Quest is a bit time consuming but well worth it! when u are trying to kill Frigid Ghoul Attacker its going to take a few mins to get the 12 of them, but to be able to find them 51,52. there's a few different waves the one wave that i found that has the most of them is the last one where u run down the valley to the end and there a large battle. I had to go to the horde side of this quest to complete it. Where the horde do this quest, a lot of ghouls spawn all the time. Blizzard should fix this so that the alliance also get as many ghouls as the horde.

A tip for pure casters, i.e. mages. Don't bother trying to target the geist attackers when they first spawn in the middle of captain's group. He and his guys will usually knock them off too quickly for you to get credit. There are secondary spawns of 1 or 2 geists that pop up a few seconds later that will immediately make right for you. Ironically, they pop up behind the captains group pretty much where his casters (you) would be standing.

To all the people complaining about ghouls, try actually participating in the battle instead of being a coward and letting the NPCs do the work for you. The intention is that you protect the NPCs so that they can make a push all the way into the dragonshrine. Once there, there will be plenty of waves of ghouls. If you let the NPCs flounder up the top, all you will get is geists and maybe the occasional ghoul wave.

Once you complete the quest, you can turn it in. Don't pay too much attention to the captains talking. I helped him "push them back!" which i had n opoint because i was done with the quest.. so ye

This quest has to be bugged. I sat over here for 30 min and he was not there. I have been doing this quest for a long time and I still have never been able to complete it. I have been able to find the Horde captain but not the the one I need.

If you seem you're missing some mobs for this quest, just head over to the horde side.
Twice during my leveling experiences, the alliance camp had nothing while horde got wave after wave of mobs.

Problem solved ;) Depending on class of course, hunters with FD and rogues with Vanish seem to have a bit easier surviving the horde soldiers.

The key to this quest is find Captain Iskandar. He could be in any of several canyons. You do not want to take on the bad guys on your own without the Captain and his troops. Follow him around and in a short time you will have your numbers complete.

Captain Iskandar and his merry men run to and fro between three canyons and the battles always take place in one of these three locations:

Beware that just because you're in his fighting group, you're still going to get damage so give these battles the respect you would any other. Nonetheless, this quest goes quickly.

Ceristrasz, the quest giver is at 52,50 in Dragonblight. He is standing just above one of several canyons. Captain Isakander and his men run through the canyons slaughtering the quest mobs - some of which are elite. The easiest way to do this quest is to find Iskander and his men. Look for a group of about 10 or so alliance troops and follow them everywhere. When they engage the quest mobs (which is often), tag as many as you can. You'll get credit and the quest will be done in minutes.

I'm a shadow priest with pretty good dps, but no match for swarms of geists. I tried soloing this and was immediately turned into a pile of bloody rags by the mobs. But when I joined Iskander and his men and used some aoe to tag as many of the mobs as I could during battle, it was over in about a minute.

Additional note: The quest mobs are Frigid Ghoul Attackers, Frigid Geist Attackers, and Frigid Abomination Attackers. You will see theses same mobs around as "Frigid Geist", "Frigid Abomination" and "Frigid Ghoul". If they don't have "Attacker" in the name, they don't count for this quest!

Descrizione

The Scourge have overrun the shrine. The shrine's keeper, Dahlia Suntouch, is nowhere to be found. The red wyrms that fell in the shrine's defense now beset us in the form of twisted skeletal emberwyrms. The situation is dire, <race>.

Captain Iskandar leads a group of your kind in stemming the flow of the Scourge out of the shrine.

Go to his aid... but please stay behind his men. The flow of Scourge is endless and I don't want to lose you in one of those scarred canyons.
