Soloed as a lvl 73 Blood spec DK. As vywein said, you need to kite him. Use a tank set in Frost Presence (of course), and use your shorter cooldown tricks early (Vampiric Blood, Rune Tap, IBF). Use Mark of Blood if you get in trouble and have a Runic Healing Potion handy for when MoB is on cooldown. Just use the cooldowns every time they're up and your health should stay above his. Don't forget to keep your diseases up between every Death Strike rotation or they're not doing you any good! This was a really fun fight.

Solo'd as a 72 Moonkin. Was a bit tricky though. Make sure your shifts out of Moonkin form are for Regrowth and Rejuvenation only; also make sure you have enough health. He can crit you for over 3,000 when you're out of Moonkin form. Also make sure you start the fight with a full Regrowth on yourself to give yourself a bit of a head start.

I was able to solo this as lvl76 warrior arms specced but used my T6 tanking gear. just step out of the aoe thing he puts on the ground.

Was relatively easy since he can be stunned so just tank him in bear form, when youre low use bash, run away a bit while hotting yourself and go bear again. Takes a while but he will go down. Avoid the bombs of course.

For Enhancement Shamies. Solo this one is not THAT easy if you don't wear epic armors and weapons. But it is definately not hard as you imaged. Here is what I did.

Debuffs:lv74, which is not too good; wearing none epic but 5 greens, one of which is my off-hand weapon; ALL of them are completely quest rewards.

Buffs: Flametongue Totem, non-talent-enhanced Strength of Earth Totem, Earth Elemental Totem, Feral Spirit and Heroism.

The mob has 100k hit points, but you only need to do 80k to complete the quest, so this is another great buff i guess. What's left to do is..... well, hit it. The whole process I didn't even move to avoid any damage, didn't use tricket or drink potion, didn't use any kind of cc ability (because shaman can't). But I did heal quite often.

I'm writing this down not to show off how powerful my charactor is or what a skilled player I am, cuz I know i am $%^& like hell. I just wanna encourage everyone to give a solo try before you do it in group. It's a nice challange as well as another kind of fun. Most importantly, it may surprise you.

Got ganked by 5 horde while trying to do this quest, and ran into its cave as they were killing it as a ghost, and once they got it low it said the name of the leader Magnataur and I got the quest completed while being a ghost.

Very fun fight! Managed to take him down alone (feral druid) but despite previous people saying he's immune to all CC, he's not. He CAN be stunned which made it a little easier to shift and heal while he was bashed. GL!

Soloed as a 75 Unholy/Blood DK. Basically this fight is just a "you see the purple rune, move backwards" fight.. He hits not to hard, but the blasts from the runes can take a serious chunk out of you.. Soloed him on the cliff so it would make seeing purple on white a bit easier. Spam Death Strike when you get low & you should have little prob, if needed throw your Gargoyle out to speed things up. One thing to keep in mind, if you have low health to start with (10k or less) keep your eyes out for the runes even more due to if you get a random crit (3k+ i saw) this guy will eat you..

Soloed him today as a L74 Ret Paladin (in a couple purples, blues, Northrend rewards). Knowing that the runes were the real problem I simply fought him with a standard Seal of Command, Judge Light, Crusader Strike, and Divine Storm while walking backwards in a large circle.

If Art of War proc'd, used it.

His melee attacks (on plate) are almost a non-issue, and only bubbled/Holy Lighted once. No pots. No Lay on Hands.

Just soloed him as unholy DK. Used my DPS gear but was in Frost Presence for the extra HP and armor bonus. As a result it may have taken me longer to get him down, but it was very effective. I never got below 70% health as used Death Strike a fair bit.

As others have said, when the purple rune goes on the floor, move away from it fast. His actual attacks were only hitting me for around 700-800 damage, although he did crit for for around 1700.

Funny thing was, when I got there 2 alliance had already killed him (I am horde) so they waited around to watch me try to solo. Once I did it they both gave me a round of applause :P

Just soloed as a 75 ret paladin in greens and blues. I had to blow all my cooldowns and use a health pot but got him down. Just keep moving, and don't move into the runes (I made that mistake which is why I had to use all my cooldowns).

Any moderately geared tanking class should find no real problems soling this. He doesn't hit very hard(500-700 damage per hit with 20k armor) or very fast. His only special ability is an obvious and easily avoided rune explosion(move off the rune). If you need to bandage, just stun him.

74 Demonology warlock... soloed. Felguard tanked, I healed and refreshed my DoTs untill he was down to about 40% then I transformed and burned him out. Not much trouble really.

Just soloed as a lvl 73 Blood spec DK.

Tips: As stated before, stay out of the rune explosion glyph on the ground when it appears. What I did was this...

Skills used: Icy touch, plague strike, heart strike, death strike, death coil, vampiric blood, rune tap, rune strike.

Opened with icy touch, plague strike, heart strike (or death strike, judge this based on HP) used rune strike when up close, or death coil while backing up or running to the side to avoid the glyph. Pop Vampiric blood then rune tap when your health gets low, then continue to keep frost fever (icy touch) and plague strike on him until so your death strikes will give you the most HP back when used. use heart strike when death strike runes are on CD (assuming you're full blood spec and have the ability to have frost and unholy runes converted to death runes). Keep this process up IN FROST PRESENCE until he's down to 20%. He will buble hearth and your quest will be complete.

One thing to note is I'm not geared to be ALL str and no stam, I'm using the balanced gear that has moderate str and stam, with hit rating and crit. this is a personal preference for me while playing on a pvp server, but you will have to judge your timing on your skills depending on your gear while soloing this guy.

I hope that helps all the other Blood DKs out there that are looking to solo this. It's quite easy if you stay out of the glyph as previously stated.

Couldn't solo him on rogue... :( He hits quite hard on leather, about 1600 per hit every 2 seconds, while bringing him down to 20% (80k damage dealt) with roughly 1k dps would require the rogue to survive for 80 seconds. Immune to blind and snares, but stunning does work. Fortunately though i found a death knight who was passing by to tank him :)

Now to the next step... any rogue been able to solo this boss or the next one?

Pretty much impossible to solo as Frost mage. Killed my pet in matter of seconds, and hit me for, like, a lot.

My tactic: Wait around till someone else comes to do it, and help them! Dont have to be grouped or anything.

Solo'd as a lvl 74 hunter.

Tenacity pet ( Gorilla )
Beastmaster spec.

I put my pet on passive so I could move it out of the bomb's way;
I kept mend pet up AT ALL TIMES. Even then he would outdps my mend pet by quite a big margin.
So I stunned him with Intimidation whenever it was up and recalled my pet and moved away from him till the Mend pet Ticks recovered my pet's health back to 100%

I repeated this process around 4 times, even had to pop Aspect of the Viper for a small amount of time as I ran out of mana.

If you make no mistakes, this should be solo'able as a hunter at all times.

I was able to solo him as a mage... but at 80 and I still had to use a pot.

I'm FFB atm. Opened with all cooldowns, got him down a bit, Blastwave's knockback seemed to work, but I wasn't paying much attention. Got out of melee and used mirror image + invisibility to get him to beat on my 3 clones, dropped invisibility and started again. I used iceblock to let ignite tick off and fore blastwave / fireblast to come back up.

Kept mana shield up as best I could. Used a mana pot + gem. Dragon's breath will not disorient him. I didn't have impact, but since he's stunable, that probably would have helped a lot.

Soloed as a level 75 Retribution paladin. Get out of the pink circle he casts and beat him down. When low on health, don't bubble the first time, just stun him with Hammer of Justice and heal up. Managed to kill him without using mana potions but went out of mana at the end.

Here's one for the feral druids:

I was actually able to do this in bear form at my first attempt. Since I saw he was stunable and some retri paladins had done it, I figured it atleast was worth the attempt.

I had a cooking buff on (30 stamina + 30 crit), feral motw, thorns, Elixir of Major Agility and Elixir of Major Fortitude. Most importantly however I'm pretty much full epic T6 (with random ZA+badge stuff) which as 74 has lasted quite a bit (think I've changed an item or two). But starting in bear form it was definitely doable. Used Enrage and Frenzied Regeneration fairly early as well as Berserk (all three at the same time, almost at the start of the fight (he had 80% or so), figured they might be due again if I could stun, kite, heal, etc. But it wasn't necessary).

Anyway, hope it was helpful atleast.

Soloed as a 74 Unholy DK with 16k hp and 16k armor in frost prescence. Really easy fight if u do it right. I fought him out in the snow so i could see the purple rings he throws on the ground, if u dont move out of those rings they will hit ya for about 1500ish dmg. Keep diseases up and death strike whenever u can since u want his hp to go down steadily, while yours is topped. Im specced into blade barrier (blood bottom talent) wich really helped since when this proccs, he misses about a third of his attacks making the fight so much easier. If you see your hp going down, pop icebound fortitude or stun him with your pet for some dmg mitigation. The fight took a while but I managed to get him to 20% hp without pots and 14 k hp when the fight ended =) GL...

Very easy as a feral druid, just stun when you need to heal and keep out of the rune thingy. I needed to heal twice but that was because in the beginning I sat in the rune :s

Just soloed it as a 76 Feral Druid quite easy. With Glyph of Healing Touch plus Naturalist 5/5 in Restoration tree, your healing touch cast time is about 1 sec cast. Just tank him as a Bear and keep lacerate up, mangle and maul him and when your heal is low Bash him and heal ( i healed about 3 times with healing touch) Just stay out of the summoning circle he cast cause they explode and deal some damage that you don't want since this fight is mostly survivability.

Soloed, 73 DK Greens and Blues mixed, unholy. Hes pretty easy as long as you stay out of the odd circle he casts. Keep moving and keep your diseases up. Death Strike really helps as well. With Ghoul and a Gargoyle whenever I could cast and hold. Got him to 20% rather quickly.

He is immune slow effects, so I had trouble to solo him as mage (frostfire spec, had no healing potion).

As a result, at my last try:
I used frostfirebolt to pull him and used Mirror Image, he attacked copies so I gained more time to dps. It worked :)

Solo'd as Feral Druid - no special gear. Opened with feral charge him in bear form and stayed out of the rune circle. Popped a health pot early, kept faerie fire and barkskin up whenever possible, and used the war stomp and healed once. Finished with about 20% health. Just keep jumping out of the rune circle.

This is not as hard as one would be believe.
I succeeded in my first try as a lvl 75 unholy/blood dk. I had 16.3 k hp when I used frost aura and my tank/stam gear. Just stay clear of hi's runes, and shoot spells at him. And every now and then you'll throw in runetap, deathstrike, and you'll be fine.

Easily soloable as a 75 Death Knight, I did it as Frost spec. Just keep your 2 diseases up at all times and Death Strike whenever its up, using the occasional Frost Strike whenever you get the chance. No problems.

Hits me for about 900~ on 16,5k armor. Explosion hits for 1.5k~ fire damage, but is easy avoidable by moving out of the mark on the floor.

Good thing is that you don't have to kill him, but to burn his hp down to 20%.

if you must solo this, wait until the opposite faction comes along and starts fighting, then kill them. Burning the mob down from there is easy, and it doesn't have to be tapped by you to get the quest.

77 feral druid....opened in cat form, got rake, mangle, and rip ticking, then switched bear and did bear stuff (hehe...itsa secret). Popped barkskin at 40% and two healing touches, at 100% again...bear form again, moar bear stuffs, bashed and healed at 80% just cause I wanted to, and then killed him. Should be pretty easy for 75+, just make sure to run out of the rune circles every time they appear.

Just soloed on my 74 druid, wasn't that hard in bear form. Just Bash him and heal yourself. Also, as everyone else mentioned, keep moving so you don't get blown up by one of his circles.

Soloable for a Protection Spec'd Warrior in mostly crafted armor (Tempered Saronite) I was lvl 75 but I think you can do it lower by following this strategy.
Open with Charge, Battle Shout, Concussion Blow, when stun wears off hit Shockwave, when that stun wears off hit Last Stand and Shield Wall. Use a healing pot when you are down a good bit.
Always keep Concussion Blow and Shockwave on cooldown for stuns.
Always kept Thunderclap and Demoralizing Shout on him.
Always moved out of the rune explosion glyph.

Soloed as a 75 Ele Shaman with BC raiding gear on. Basically just flame shocked, lava bursted, spamed heals, rinse and repeat. Took a bit but never went under 60% health. Thunderstorm can knock him away in needed for a heal just incase.

Just did it on my 73 priest solo, spec'd shadow. Had around 1250 SP, in old Kara gear with a piece or two of Northrend quest gear. Basically kept my dots up, PW:S, used a health pot, and saved dispersion for when i got low but PW:S was on CD. Had to heal a bit, ended at 4k hp and 230 mana, but got it done.

Yes it CAN be soloed by a rogue. Did it at lv 77 but only wearing outland 69 greens and a couple of low 70's blues. Weapons were a 69 fist and 71 blade, so nothing special there either.

Equip combat spec, with enough in sub to enable preparation and 100% chance to add combo point upon a successful dodge

I macroed 'Badge of Tenacity' trinket, Evade and Blade Flurry.
And also macroed Preperation, Evade.

For the battle, I used an 'Indestructible Potion' to give me 2 mins of +3500 armor, then stealthed.
Opened with garrotte, used the 1st macro comb. Then immediately SnD and Adrenaline Rush. Plus 2nd trinket 'Zandalarian Hero Badge' which is a q reward after getting the Heart of Hakkar.

After all that lot was up and running, spammed SS and Evis, avoided rune damage where poss, then used the 2nd macro comb after evade had run out. All the while spamming SS, Evis and keeping SnD up.

When health started running low, used a 'Runic Healing Potion', blew cooldown on max lifeblood (herbalism skill) for +2000 stamina, used a 'Fel Blossom' for 750 damage bubble then jumped off the cliff. Some hp taken as a result, but it gives max 8 seconds to use a 'Heavy Frostweave Bandage' while he is coming down for you.

Your hp should be quite near to max again at that point, so it is just a case of avoiding the rune (i usually jumped backwards) and spamming SS, Evis and SnD.

Finished with 4.5k health. Might need a couple of goes to get it right, but V satisfying once completed :))

Popped avenging wrath + trinket right away and put up JoL. Move away from the runes he lays down as they explode. Had to pop one health pot midway and was using art of war (FoL) procs. Popped LoH at the end. Somewhat easy - you have to get him to 20% for quest credit at which point he shields himself.

Used the following method:
Start with Seal of wisdom and blessing of might

Exorcism -> Judgement of Light -> Exorcism -> divine storm -> Consecration ---- repeat spells as they refresh. when you get "The Art Of War" use Flash of Light immediately to keep your health up. That instant heal does well. When you eventually get down to about 40% health on yourself, begin using "Holy Light" to heal yourself. Once you get that heal off, start the rotation and make sure you get the hell out of circles.

Those are the only spells I used, oddly enough. Didn't bubble, didn't panic. Just DPS'd em down.

He's almost trivially easy as an affi/demo lock. Soloed at 74 (spec: 24/41/0)

Send the fel guard in and pop demonic empowerment off the bat for the extra threat. Throw up CoA and Corruption, and a couple shadowbolts while you wait for him to actually hit your pet. The second he throws down a rune, call your pet back to move the boss, re attack him, and then move in a circle. If you do it right, your fel guard should only have to move a few feet to get out of the runes.

Once your fel guard starts taking damage, just sit there with health funnel and your dots up. Fel armor and siphon life will keep you topped off, and the -30% damage from imp health funnel will prevent your pet from taking any significant damage so long as you avoid the runes.

Soloed as a 73 enhancement shaman. Here is what I did

Set up Stoneskin, Fire Elemental, Healing Stream and Windfury Totem.
Pulled with chain lightning
Lasted as long as I could before using wolves
Popped wolves and heroism

From there it was just a matter of dps'ing as much as I could. The wolves ran out at about 24% so there I had to heal myself a lot to keep me alive, but I managed to get a few hits in between the healing.

He is probably NOT soloable for mages. He hits like a truck on cloth, isn't slowable nor rootable. You need amazing DPS to solo him, which is usually not the case for a leveling toon. He runs faster than normal faster, therefore isn't kitable.

After wiping multiple times due to the runes I thought about the Grobb fight in naxx and decided to use a tactic our guilds main feral tank used.

Switching on the walk button ("/" by default) I simply attacked and did not stop walking backwards, you walk slowly enough to not get any strange range bugs but also you are never on a rune, finished with 75% HP without using any healing except for my HoTs I stacked at the beginning of the fight.

tried to solo as lvl 77 shadow priest. failed 4 times and gave up, the last attemp i tried to use the Run/cast Dot/heal and then leviate from the highground cliff, still didnt work out, after 2 jumps, he's Hp actually back to full again, frustrated, unlike the other imba tanking/healing/dpsing classes, I think priest just aint cut out for solo group quests.

Solo'd as a 72 Elemental shaman. It was quite difficult, but here's how to do it. (My gear is all quest greens/instance blues.)

Lay down your totem of wrath, mana spring, wrath of air. Wait until you are ready to drop down your earth elemental. You will need him to have any hope of doing it.
(Edit: The reason you drop the elemental only when you pull is because mine ran out of time almost exactly when the magnataur hit 20%. Would have gotten nasty if he had disappeared 10 seconds earlier.)

Pull him, drop the earth elemental, and let the elemental tank for a few seconds. You will need to do alot of healing to yourself and the elemental in order to beat him, have lesser healing wave ready at all times. (If he does aggro to you, thunderstorm knocks him back to buy some time.)

Start dpsing when the elemental has a bit of aggro. Pop bloodlust and elemental mastery right before doing this. (Due to the fast casting and constant healing, you may need to bring a mana potion. I didn't need it, but it got close.) Watch for the runes also, he will place them on you and your elemental. You can move from them, but the elemental will not, so be ready to heal through it.

That's about it, keep up the dps, heal the elemental, thunderstorm for mana/knockback. As long as you dont run out of mana too fast, it's not too hard.

Soloed on a fury warrior pretty easily. Swapped in my tanking gear (t4/karazhan level, 1x t5 so nothing spectacular) and had around 19k health with commanding shout and a food buff. Kept 2h in mainhand. Keep thunder clap and demoshout on him ALL THE TIME, spam bloodthirst (had it glyphed) and keep it as priority, revenge next and also have shield block on cooldown all the time. While charging at him, pop retaliation. When shield wall becomes avaible, pop it aswell. Ended up having 66% health left.

Managed to solo him as a lvl 73 boomkin. The trick to do is use typhoon whenever the cooldown is up, so you can reapply HoTs. Also warstomp, treants, barkskin, and DoTs are very very helpful.

Also whenever he puts down his runes, get out of them. Look for the purple circle on the ground.

Took him down as a lvl 72 bear druid, tank spec'ed. Stayed out of the runes, healed when I could. I was intimidated by the 100k but it is just a couple of minutes of two step kiting.

Certainly able to be soloed as an Affliction Warlock specced into Imp Health Funnel and Fel Synergy from the Demo tree. Simply send in your VW and always have it keep aggro. Only use Corruption and Curse of Agony for damage, and health funnel your VW when needed. It'll take a small while but doing it this way, I succeeded rather easily. Solo'd as a 74 BM hunter. pretty simple strat, keep mend pet and serpent stings up, reg steady/DPS until you see the purple circle on the ground, call your pet to you for a second or two to get it off the circle before it goes boom, then re-attack with pet in the new position, away from the bomb circle thingie.

i only MD'd once at the start, and used FD once towards the end. get him to 20% and you're done.

WHAT MAY HELP

THE PULL.
/use trinket
/use spellpower potion (if you got them with you, not neccasary)
/use Combustion

1. fireball
2. Scorch
3. Living Bomb
(start running, blink)
4. (if hot streak is up) Pyroblast
5. Fireblast

KITING.
Basicly, you run around and refresh living bomb everytime.
Use fireblast when it's up. Pyroblast when you got hot streak.
Blink everything it's of CD and you are running straight.
Blast wave for whenever he's catching up on you.
He is also slowable with Cone of Cold.

REMEMBER
Before jumping off the cliff, to buff yourself with slow fall.
Use evocation only whenever you just jumped off a cliff.
Do not jump to far or you might lose aggro (fully reset) or jump to close (he might catch up on you and punch you to death while falling down).

It took me loads of tries to get it done right...
Why didn't I wanted to search for a group? Because I was hard headed and wanted to show it IS possible to solo it as a mage.

I just solo the guy as an enhance 73 shaman, with spirit wolfs, fire elemental and BL and only healed myself once...no epic items, just green and blue.

It's easy.. If i did it, imagine what the other classes can do ;)

Just for future reference, if you're reading this and you're a DK, you CAN solo it, simple as. Stick your dieseases up and use your main damaging attacks (Heart Strike, Obliterate of Scourge Strike) and then when they refresh use pure Death Strikes to heal - intersperse Death Coils where needed.

Rinse and repeat, and as long as your >74 you'll be fine, maybe earlier with decent gear.

For what it is worth, today January 6, 2010, i just solo'd this guy! just me and my felguard. had some sp boosting food, a wizard oil, and a battle elixir to raise sp. you can solo this, if your a demon lock like me. all it takes is: send the felguard in, hit demonic empowerment, incinerate again and again, health funnel when the felguard needs it, and just keep at it using the same cycle of incinerates, demonic empowers, and health funnels. if your fel armor is up, no big deal to keep shunting hp thru to the demon. i never fell more than 200-300hp! small edit: i was <as i did this, a 73 demon lock>

Soloed as a lv73 blood dk and never dropped below 80% health. Just put on random high stm gear I had and went Frost Presence. Had all green or blue quest gear so nothing fancy and most of it's pretty crappy lol. Never had to runetap and the only buffs I had were Frost Presence and Horn of Winter. Keep diseases up. Use your unholy and frost runes for Death Strike and blood runes for Heart Strike. Avoid runes and it's a rediculously easy fight.

Solo'ed him as a 72 affliction warlock.
I used my Imp for Blood Pact (not damaging). I kept all my DoT's up, and did not move out of his AE marks on the ground.
I just spammed Drain Life when I wasn't refreshing DoT's.
I used Demon Armor for the 20% lifegain. I used one lvl45 healing potion and 1 Healthstone (Improved). It was awesome!

I'm surprised no one has said anything about how to find this guy. Even with the Quest Helper like system in the game now I still found it tricky.

What you want to do is go directly east from the east door of Wyrmrest temple until you get to the cliffs.Then go north every so slightly to find his cave.

If you're looking on the map, there is a small lake between those cliffs and Wyrmrest. He's to the eastern side of the northen tip of that lake. You may have to turn your view distance up cause his cave might be hard to see. He seems to stay inside his cave a bit and then step out onto the cliff to look over the land.

soloed as 77 resto shaman: should be doable with lower lvl, since my earth shield kept my elemental full easily.

earth shield on earth elemental, let it tank him. you have to renew earth shield 3 times before elemental despawns. Meanwhile you keep flame shock up and spam lava burst/lightning bolt. when earth elemental despawns, call fire elemental and put earth shield on yourself (you should wear a shield). Use your bloodlust in fire elemental phase. after earth elemental phase he was down to 50% in my case. if you get aggro problems in phase 1, remember your spell wind shear ;)

Solo'ed as a 76 Feral Druid. As others have pointed out, stay out of the circles (most important). Other than that, I went kitty first, dps'ed a bit, shifted to bear thereafter. Used nothing but barkskin and Survival instincts + frenzied regen. In bear do your demoralizing roar, it reduces the melee dmg quite a bit.

Soloable as a level 72 prot warrior without any potions/excess stuff.

Started with a charge then shockwave to get him stunned, threw off Demoralizing Shout, then started stacking sunders with Devastate with the occasional revenge/shield slam. As soon as the stun of shockwave ran out, popped Shield Block and kept pounding away.

Used shockwave to keep him stunned on every one of it's CDs, not using Concussion Blow just to be certain it wouldn't end up on DR, and with keeping sunder, demo shout, and thunderclap up, stunning when possible and popping Shield Block every 40 seconds when he wasn't stunned, I was able to bring him down.

Was a bit close, had to hit Shield Wall/Last Stand/Regal Protectorate to be safe and finished with 3k/16k HP when it was all said and done. His crits hit hard (1.7k-ish on plate), but if you get the defense cap, it should be the least of your worries. Avoid the runes, if you have a hard time seeing them, fight him in his cave and it'd be a lot easier to see.

Don't underestimate Demoralizing Shout or Thunderclap, Demo shout reduced his damage from 750 per hit to the 500s, and the slowdown of TC made it a lot easier.

For a prot warrior, this quest is only a chore, if you bring a health pot, or have a trinket/racial/profession thing to heal you like Lifebloom, all you need to do is rotate the stuns and shield block until it dies.

Although I was a bit scared when reading the previous comments I decided to continue my tactic which had worked on the previous bosses.

I did this boss solo at lv 74 with a 24/41, siphon life/felguard spec

As the void is the tank pet get it out,

Let the void build up some aggro, with torment and suffering. Use demonic empowerment with them if you have it,

Slowly start dotting, draining and the occasional shadow bolt (I love nightfall :) )

Use lifetap to keep nearly full mana, you should not run out of mana ever this way

Heal the pet with health funnel

tip - stop with attacking with your pet when you see a purple thingy under your void, let him withdraw a bit so he avoids some damage, you can pull the mob out of the cave step by step, after that you walk in the cave again etc etc (MIND line of sight for healing your pet when you are in the cave)

p.s. used identical tactic on next boss, died once due to overaggro on ±80%HP, second time I did it when he had 5k hp left, just drain tank him and you are fine

This was awesome, I showed up expecting to solo this, like I had all the previous ones, and I get there and he has over 100k health like Parasamgate said. I was disheartened. Then a rival group goes and beats him up. They defeated him, but I still got credit! Not a great tactic, but it got me to the next part.

solo'd as 74DK blood/unholy mix. used frost pressence for the armor/health boost as it was needed for some of his massive hits and when didnt manage to dodge the frost attack. mark of blood at start. my ghoul died bout halfway in due to my moving away from the frost attacks and my ghoul moving into them but popped out another ghoul and it survived the rest of the fight. be sure to dodge the symbols he makes on the ground as the damage from the attack hurts. was a very good fight, i liked the challenge on this 1.

- Cast Mark of Blood on him at the beginning and stay away from the purple circles he casts under you. At the end, cast Icebound Fortitude and beat him down to 20%. Keep Rune Tap up during the fight. You'll have enough time for the CDs to finish.

Magnataur Warlord is at (72, 50).

Hes almost a tanks and spank. He will put a purple symbol on the ground and it will explode. So avoid that. Move if he puts it under you. At 20% he will give up and the fights over.

couldn't solo with my 76 BM hunter with wolf pet. I thought I could hold on until I got him to 20%, but I ran out of mana. Didn't get the chance to switch over to Viper as I was trying to save my pet by clicking follow to keep him out of the purple. But pet died, and he went after me. if you FD he will evade after that. He was too close for me to try to kite him. Gonna try again, maybe I can kite him.

It is unlikely we will gain any aid with the increasing concerns with the Scourge and the blue flight, so I need you to procure the information from Dregmar by any means necessary.

I was told he can be found amongst the cliffs overlooking the Mirror of the Dawn.
