Full group and you only have to kill two.

A tip for elemental shamans: Wait to do this part of the quest until level 75 when you can learn Lava Burst. They are immune to nature damage (like most air elementals) and flame shocking, frost shocking and fire totems takes a long time if you are by yourself.

This quest was extremely easy for me. Any of the elementals killed near my Golem would give me credit. This includes cross-faction kills. This doesn't require a group, and any movement or disappearing bugs people have mentioned didn't occur for me.

A tip for mages, don't try to speed up this quest by killing more mobs at the same time.
The golem will only collect energy from one of them.

Summoning a non combat pet such as a cute little fluffy bunny unsummons the golem. Not much of a hassle but just a heads up.

Easy quest. Activate the Golem Control Unit in your inventory to spawn the Golem, then kill the tornadoes in the area. The Golem will charge the cells automatically. I found a large concentrated group of tornadoes at 78,55.

Warning: the golem will replace your vanity pet. This means that if you're running an addon such as Livestock (like I am) that auto-summons a vanity pet for you, it'll summon your pet and make the golem go away. You'll need to turn off automatic vanity pet summoning if you want your golem to stick around long enough to get the energy.

Took me quite a bit to figure out why I wasn't getting credit and my golem kept going away. Heh.

I hated this quest, because the air elementals constantly put out totems and it's hard to seen them or the air elementals in the fights, because the stupid golem stays right in front of your face. I wish my golem would have gone away at least a little ways.

You need to summon the golem just before the tornado dies, otherwise it wont register the kill.
Make sure you DONT loot before the golem has a chance to collect the charge.

I hated this quest! For starters, if you are short (I am a Gnome) its very hard to see around your pet golem because he is RIGHT on your back side - it would have been much better is they were to walk behind and off to the side like all the other pets and companions. Also, those Lightning Sentries lay down a lightening totem that you need to get rid of ASAP because they HURT BAD! I stuck to the area closest to the quest givers (about 80,53) and got it done - very annoying quest thou!

You'd think the guys making the power cells would've thought to power them up, but no, they've got to make it difficult for us.

Fine, we'll charge those cells the hard way. There's enough power in them to run the golem for a short time, but don't expect it to be any good in combat.

You see the lightning sentries that the irons have posted around the perimeter of Dun Argol? Bring the golem with you, take it close to them, and use the golem to absorb the power as the sentries die.
