Based on the earlier comments, they may have adjusted this quest slightly in one of the recent patches. You can loot the chest while dead. You then speak to the quest giver and click on his message which will return you to living form. You then step out into the big room and apply the snow on five Ancients. Each time you apply the snow to them, it freezes them briefly and then they run over to their mummy and burn. You must loot the burnt mummy to retrieve the quest item. When you've got all five, just run back to Kraz outside the ruins. You don't run back to the quest giver - you wouldn't be able to see him anyway because you're alive at this point.

You then speak to the quest giver and click on his message which will return you to living form.

Looks like this quest has changed slightly again. I looted the snow while dead and he was unable to rez me. I had to destroy the snow and then have him rez me.

Loot the chest next to Gan'jo while dead.
Talk to Gan'jo for a res.
Use the snow from the chest on the troll spirits and loot their corpse once they run back to where they're buried.

I looted the snow and then tried to get the rez but it didn't work. So I deleted the snow and tried the rez again but no luck. Looted the snow again, tried the rez again and it worked!

So it seems a bit hit and miss, there's the odd quest in Northrend that has the same kind of intermitent problems.

If you have the buff "On the Other Side" you won't see the ancients. I would have thought the quest giver would remove that buff when you ask him to return you to the living, but the buff stays. I had to run outside the ruins and/or what a bit for the buff to go away, then I could complete the quest objectives.

A simple macro removes the buff, and all buffs for that matter.

EDIT: This doesn't work, and it won't return you to "The Land of the Living" but it will work for any other buff like this.

Same prob of not being able to Res. Tried what Kusasi said and deleted snow, re-looted then tried to Res again, this time working.

You need to be standing on top of the NPC for him to rez you. If you are standing next to him it will not work and he will not finish his rez cast.

Appearently if you abandon this quest you won't be able to pick it up again. Kraz at the camp doesnt say anything, killing the troll that drops the mallet doesnt drop it again, and you cant see + start the quest at the dead troll inside the ruins without the buff - being dead the normal way doesnt work.

You can get stuck in the spirit world if you kill an opposing faction. Killing again seemed to unbug the problem. this happened to at least three people (myself included).

You need to be ghost to colect the chest whick is near the quest guy.Then talk with him and becond again alive.then go to that spirits and use the thing from the cest so u will get what u need

Actually you get back to normal from 'dead' when you go a little way out of Drakil'Jin ruins.. I had to ring the gong 3 times because I didn't read the quest description thoroughly:P

Ok, this is the day after the Jan 20 patch. The chest for this quest was INSIDE the fountain/pool thingy on the wall behind Gan'jo. I could see the sparkles rising from the pool, but could never get the cog and arrow icon to 'use' it. That was until, out of desperation, I looked UNDER the fountain, then the cog and arrow was there and was finally able to complete the quest after 30 minutes of extreme frustration. Very buggy patch... btw, what exactly are test realms for?

Did anyone notice that his name is Gan'jo and he gives the quest "Chill Out, Mon"? And that this could possibly be a reference to the slang term "ganja" for marijuana and "Chill out, man" being a phrase stoners may use.

What should i do? i picked up the chest and then i accidently ressed up after talkin to the troll guy! then i abandoned the q cause i thought it *failed* now i can´t get it again!

The 15 second cooldown on the snow is just insanely stupid...it really needs to be lowered to 10 seconds since the entire sequence of putting each troll to sleep only takes that long (10 seconds).

incredibly slow but easy quest. just use the snow on the ghost trolls and they'll go to their "graves" which you can burn which is it.

For those that sort newest first:
1. Bang gong.
2. Die (no fight, you'll just die).
3. Run into underground ruins.
4. Talk to the guy.
5. Loot the "snow" from chest behind him.
6. Talk to guy again to be brought back to life.
7. Go use snow on five different ghosts in the nearby rooms.
8. Each ghost will freeze and then run to a crypt and pass on to the spirit world or whatever. Once they have done that, each will leave behind drakkari spirit particles.
9. Loot five particles.
10. Return to questgiver outside.
11. Done, easy.

You are to use the Snow on the Ancient Drakkari Spirits there and take their Drakkari Spirit Particles back to Kraz at Harkor's Camp.

Speak to me when ya be ready to rejoin your body. Then take the snow from the chest near me here and put my bruddas to sleep.

Take their remnants to your spirit guide. He be knowin' what to do next.
