Don't be intimidated by the fact that they are level 74 elites, you only have to battle them for a brief time before they open their mouths.

The time that you throw the explosive into the Jormungar's mouth is when it does an emote.

"The Hulking Jormungar falters for a moment, opening its mouth wide."

They do a Corrosive Spit, but other than that the fight should last about 15seconds at most.

Remember, these are right to the east of the camp. I went west where all the other jormungars were, thinking that it spawned with them. Spent a good 10 minutes looking for one before I reread the quest text!

Their mouths will open at 80%, which on a mob with 29820 health is approximately 6000 health which is less than your average mob in this area.

Go to the Worms "Elites" And begin nuke at them, it will yell "The Hulking Jormungar falters for a moment, opening its mouth wide." then u must click the bomb.

It will explode and 6-9 Piece's of meat flew's out.

What I thought of when I read the quest was the enemies known as Armos from various Legend of Zelda games.
They are suits of armor or statues. The first Gamecube installment in the series, The Wind Waker, had Armos Knights - large statues that could only be defeated by throwing a bomb in their mouth or damaging their eye with arrows and forcing it to open.

Very cool if it was indeed a reference here.

ATTENTION SKINNERS!

This quest is totally awesome for those of you looking for Jormungar scale. Just don't turn the quest in! As a rogue I can easily stunlock these guys until the message comes up letting you know to throw the explosives. After which I can skin. No damage taken, they respawn very, very quickly, and the drop rate for Jormungar isn't bad at all.

Oh, and you don't have to get as close to them as you think, just keep an eye on your attack color (soon as it isn't red - go for it).

This quest is wicked fun! Seriously, just give me a pack of these explosives and let me start shoving them down the throats of elites!

Whats even more fun? They EXPLODE in a gory mess. Its awesome.

is it just me, or is anyone else having problems picking up the meat? They blow up, worm chunks fly everywhere, but there is nothing to interact with, save the dead worm with no seared meat.

58,25 . Hits quite hard. Throw bomb at 20k hp and collect the pieces of meat afterward.

coords verified...this quest is remarkably easy. you only need to pull one, hit it with the bomb and collect the 6 pieces from its corpse. see screenshot for more info.

I'm unable to do this as a level 49 toon not on Chomie Time. The soft foam sword doesn't work on this mob. Going naked and punching it kills it. Guess I'm going to have to go Chromie Time and see if that works....

Okay, I don't yet see the info posted that I'm about to, and it caused me a lot of headache to complete this quest as a lvl 70. Unless you're willing to pay some lowbie to follow you to Dragonblight, the only way I have found to weaken the Hulking Jormungars (elites, so you can't use Soft Foam Sword) is to use . ((Sorry for the mess, hyperlinking seems hard here.))

Make the Hulking Jormungars stand in the stupid. Throw meat. Success after one try.

This quest took me way too long to figure out. It's the only AH item that doesn't one-shot them. (Don't need to be Engineer, etc.)

Hard to Swallow

Battle a Hulking Jormungar east of Nozzlerust Post until it opens its mouth, then throw a Potent Explosive Charge into its throat. After it explodes, collect 6 slabs of Seared Jormungar Meat off of the ground and bring them back to Xink.

Go provoke one of those giant hulking jormungar to the east. You're not likely to be able to kill one straight out, so just toss this down its throat when it opens its mouth wide. Bring me back as many of the slabs of meat as you can tote.
