I wonder if this quest ends up having any meaning. I just delivered a useless egg, and she didn't tell you what it was in the first place.

Today it looks like the quest is bugged. I click on the egg, and it says "Massive Moth Omelet? failed" and doesn't let me get the quest. Maybe it's temporary.

All you have to do is deliver the egg for 20k experience....you'd be silly not to do this quest!

For those without a flying mount wondering how to get on that cliff;

Pathway up: 49.6, 66.1 - south of the cave entrance to Gammoth.
(Or simply run to the egg from Warsong Hold, but I guess most of us see this quest upon going to that cave for Gammothra the Tormentor)
Ledge to the egg: 48.2, 59.7 - jump down for a shortcut.
Egg itself: 48.9, 60.1 - Guarded by Aspatha the Broodmother(71, non elite, 9K HP).

Simply fetch it, run the hell off the cliff and tada. 20K exp without killing a thing.

Note: The quest seems a bit pointless, but I think considering there's a named Blood Elf corpse next to the egg, we're simply finishing unfinished business or something.

The quest definitely seems like perhaps it was part of a larger chain but was pulled and reduced to just the egg quest. The named moth you have to kill was no doubt a target in this at some point.

No, it's not in the in the cave, and no, you don't have to kill the elite.
It's above, when looking towards the cave go left till you reach a road going up

Massive Moth Omelet?

Take the Massive Glowing Egg to Bloodmage Laurith at the Bloodspore Plains in the Borean Tundra.

Descrizione

This egg was obviously important to somebody, as the corpse nearby can attest. As you look the egg over you notice that it has already been tagged for shipment to the Bloodspore Plains, care of Bloodmage Laurith. That's just east of here!

Collect the egg and take it to the expectant Bloodmage.
