Not immune to snares, soloed quite easily as a 74 destro lock in T6. He doesn't hit any harder than the elite giants you had to kill for March of the Giants, and has approximately the same amount of health (around 27k). He does do a large knockback once and awhile so make sure you are not near any other mobs.

Soloed as level 72 Unholy Deathknight easily, should be doable by any spec presuming chains of ice remains as it is now.

Simply chains of ice and icy touch whenever you can and kite him, use runic power to deathcoil or summon gargoyle (if you have it). Raise a ghoul once you have good aggro so it can dps anyway.

Soloed as a level 70 Undead Fury warrior with 4/5 Titans grip and 2/2 impale

This particular stone giant is a pushover compared to the others. He only appeared to be meleeing for 400-500 and an occasional "pop you up in the air" move that is easily countered with a simple intercept or Heroic Leap. Did not need to kite him with hamstring just bludgeoned the guy to a pulp.

Soloable by any class on the 'Test the Rune of Command' quest. Grab a giant, run up to Megalith, take him down. The Giant makes it trivial. My pet never dropped below 75%.

There's a way to make this quest, and the giant-killing one before it, easier.

There's another quest, called Rune of Command surprisingly enough, that gives you a Rune of Command to use as often as you like as long as you haven't handed it in, effectively giving you a pet Stone Giant to help you fight the Runed Stone Giants and this Megalith character.

I'm not sure when this'll get nerfed though, if at all. :)

Easy soloable at 70-71. by the way, there is a quest before this in the chain (March of the Giants). You can simple kill Megalith 4 times, waiting it's respawn (2,5 mins) and use the "mining pick" (quest item). It counts as a simple giant & it's easier kill this mob as the souths one.

Pretty easy... 72 enhancement shaman. Had to heal myself twice but that was just to stay topped off. Also, if you do the quest https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11348 first, your "pet" giant will help fight for you. Not a lot of dmg but he really helps. Didn't have to use and tricks/elementals/heroism.. really not that bad. I'd def suggest killing him for the earlier quest... much easier.

So easy to solo he might as well be a normal mob with more HP. Far, far less challenging than the Runed Stone Giants in the first quest of this chain with their raid-boss-like stacking DOT.

Very easy quest, I solo'd this as a lvl 70 Hunter. My gear is all blues and greens, nothing special. I put on a few elixirs, had some food buffs, and charged with my pet first. I did pop everything I had, but it was successful.

This quest is a joke - nuff said. By no means a 3-man at all.
Soloed as a 71 green / quest-reward blue geared prot Paladin, ending with roughly 100% Hp and Mana.

Killed him incredibly easy as a 70 rogue. Did this quest along with https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/quest=11348 , Took the captured giant from the camp and brought it with me. The giant has very long stuns and does some damage. I just spammed sinister strike and eviscerate. Mogalith did not turn to face the giant, so be sure to use evasion.

69,11 are correct for respawn but he does walk around down the mountainous path

easily soloable on a 71 DK blood specced, never went below 90% hp. No pets or giants used to help, as others have stated he is way easier than the stone runed giants u have to kill prior to this

Soloed as 80 rogue, combat swords. Very easy...needed blade flurry to also take down an Icehollow Behemoth that Megalith threw me into.

Soloed as a 75 shadow priest - Frozen Shadoweave set and Northrend greens. Keep Vampiric Touch and Vampiric Embrace up, bubble whenever you can, and just hit him with everything you've got. I took more damage from fall damage when he knocked me back.

Soloed as a 72 Blood DK. You just gotta be able to either keep him away or be able to give yourself some healing through the fight. Having a pet helps, but if you're able to mitigate a lot of damage or keep him away from you, this fight is easy to do and a quick 25k XP.

Just Soloed this as a 70 Ret pally. Was pretty easy, just use Seal of Light and its easy he doesn't hit hard so you shouldn't have a problem

Solo'd as a 71 retribution paladin w/ Kara, SSC & S2 gear- very easy! Dropped judgment of light for heals and never dropped below 80% (with a max HP of 10k). Very doable.

As others said, this guy is a lot easier than the other elite giants.

As a 71 Feral Druid I had to get my caster set and root+moonfire+SF when the root is about the end on the other giants, but this one I:
Cast regrowth->prowl->pounce+rake+mangle till 5 combo points(use tiger's fury somewhere here)->APtrinket+RIP->bear->lacerate and keep 5stack lacerate+mangle and demo roar up. Piece of cake, didn't even get to 80%, probably could've done him as cat only as well.
Also forgot to use barkskin :P

I wanted to add that when i did this quest again on my rogue i was about to use the Rune of Command pet but this time its only summonable 1 time, so if you gonna use it on Megalith i suggest you save your only summon for him. But i agree, Megalith was alot easier than any Runed Giant bacuse of the 1200 ticking dot that they give you. So most classes wouln't need it for Megalith anyways.

Easy solo, but when you do it, fight facing down the mountain. If you fight facing up the mountain, his knockback will drop you a good 3-3.5k health each time he uses it. Very easy though, his HP drops like a stone. No pun intended.

I killed him as a lvl 71 MM hunter with a gorilla and it was very easy.
This is the rotation I used:
- let your pet atack (I did it with a gorilla)
- serpent sting
- aimed shot
- arcane shot
- chimera shot

If you use this rotation, it won't be a problem.

Did this as a lvl 72 Survival hunter, easily done, easily done as any other class too i presume, he doesnt hit hard at all and his HP isnt too high either. Prolly a sinch as a DK.

soloed as a 72 ret paladin. No idea why this is a 3-man. as long as you have Art of War and Sheath of Light in your talent spec, u can easily heal through his damage. I ended up at full health at the end of the fight.

Solo'd as a 71 Disc priest. Kite and Dot using shield and Shadow Word death when Weakened soul was gone and I could cast a new shield. He never cought up to me. Just run and refresh SwD when it's about to run out.

I have done this quest a few times with others and found this quest surprisingly easy. Megalith hits for a lot less than the Rune Stone Giants. I wouldn't be surprised if people solo'd this mob. Megalith can be taken easily with a two person group without a healer.

Solo'd this easy as a Ret Paladin.

Pretty much standard fare for any elite, but watch out for his knockback, DO NOT fight him with your back facing south, lest you get thrown off a cliff and die from fall damage.

I don't know why Blizzard has to give nearly every Elite Quest mob knockbacks every 5-10 seconds, but it is annoying as hell. Just fight him with your back facing north, so that he throws you back into the cliff wall, and you should be fine.

Very easy to solo (71 ret paladin). As mentioned, watch his knock-back; put your back to a wall if you can and avoid getting kicked off a cliff, or down a slope as fall damage does more than he will.

73 BM Hunter, 71 Silithid pet; easily soloed (Megalith dead, one Mend Pet and pet still at about 75%). Didn't even use CDs.

I found Megalith around 67,10. Hunters, Giant Tracking, everyone else, looks just like the giants below (and weaker, for some reason), and only other thing in the area is rams and Icehollow Behemoths (giant yetis, classified as humanoid).

Binder Murdis created Megalith to be the most powerful of the runed giants and to lead them in their mission. Defeating Megalith will leave them lost and without direction. After the expeditionary force arrives, our soldiers will be able to isolate and defeat the remaining giants and oust their Iron Dwarf masters from their camps.

Search the foothills of Frostblade Peak, north of Giants' Run for Megalith and defeat him!
