Entrance into Catacombs is 57,50. Go down first flight of stairs, NPC in first cage. Kill gladiator in the ring, a few more enter after killing the one before then Oluf comes out and drops the Ancient Cypher.

Turning in the quest was somewhat difficult, the easiest way to do it is to hit Shift + V to bring up the bars above his head, then you can just click his name.

Piece of advice. This quest opens up so whatever you do, don't go around and kill the whole ring before saving the quest giver - "just for the experience" or you will be waiting on respawns (-.-)

If you kill all the guys in the ring but can't loot the object, you may have passed the quest turn in -- look toward the door at the cage to the right when facing it. There should be a quest turn in that you need to take care of, then get the followup. This will allow you to loot the Ancient Cipher.

Couple of extra comments:

There are 4 gladiators total.
When you fight the second and third, the prisoners come out to help.
I had no problem bandaging between fights at one point.
I was unable to talk to the guy in the cage until I had defeated the 4 gladiators.

68 Death Knight had no real difficulty

The Ring of Judgement

Find Daegarn in the Ring of Judgement located inside the Utgarde Catacombs.

Descrizione

You might have already seen the room where Daegarn is being held while you were gatherin' the tablets. It's through this corridor and then down a set of steps. Daegarn will be in the room at the bottom of the steps - locked up tight!

Get down there and find him. At the very least you might be able to get the cipher from him.
