The Acrano-Scorp are located at 62,40. You gain control of them using the Arcano Control Unit just behind them. You now gain control of the Arcano-Scorp and can tag them using the first ability from your pet bar.

Confirmed coords, (62, 40) just follow the road to the bridge across the green "Lava" and there is 3 large mechanical scorpions about 10 meters to the west side of the bridge, pretty hard to miss. Pretty easy exp.

I don't know if this is a glitch or a quirk, but when I returned to the control unit, I was dancing.

Explanation: Get there, click on a "Arcano Control Unit" next to the Arcano-Scorps. This will give you control of an Arcano-Scorp. You walk around as the Arcano-Scorp using the "Tag Greater Felfire Diemetradon" spell on the pet bar. Obviously on the Greater Felfire Diemetradon's. Once you have tagged 8, you have finished :D.

The arcanoscorps have other abilities besides tagging the Diemetradons. It's basically a mini-game you can play with 2 other friends, if you were really that bored.

a.) Arcano-Cloak, makes your scorp untargettable by other scorps
b.) Arcano-pince, does a weak melee attack to other scorps
c.) Arcano-dismantle, does a powerful attack to other scorps as well as stuns them for a short duration.

They cannot be used against other players or mobs, but I suppose it could be a few minutes of fun if you see someone doing the quest, and feel like murdering their arcanoscorp with yours.

Kind of a strange note, when I got bored and decided to "kill" one of the uncontrolled mechano-scorps, my ( https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=32771 ) decided to proc >.<

I could not use the control until I dismissed my pet. Perhaps the overwrite issue, previously mentioned, has been addressed.

Easy and a funny quest at 62.40, Just press the shining thingy and controll the scorpion, press the "Tag Greater Felfire diemetradon! Just press it on all the Diemetradon's.

I did this quests today, but I couldn't complete it. I was unable to cast any spell while controlling the scorpid. Strange but true...

I wasn't able to do this quest, so I disabled my bartender addon and tried it again and it worked. If you're having trouble, that might be the reason.

CTRL + 4 when targetting a Diematradon for people that can't see the buttons.

When you find yourself having trouble with bartender not showing the controllbar, go to the bartender option menu, add an extra bar and make it a posess bar. Now everytime you control something, it will have the abilities on that bar. Make sure that "hide when posessing" isn't checked or else it will, obviously, not work.

It might be my Mod UI I have...but I have NO control options at all. I can run around all day (for 5 min) and not do a thing. Anyone else have this problem? I checked my "pet" bar, and nothing was on there either

You lose your demon when you take control of the scorpion. Just in case you are low on shards

I got control of the scorpo just fine but then how to tag the beasts? That's when I noticed that I had a new taskbar, and item #4 on it would tag them. Once I figured that out all was well, though I was working until about 10s before I lost the scorpo. Luckily it ports you back to the control device so you're not really in any danger of melting to death in the lava.

BTW hunters and warlocks will need to dismiss pets before controlling the scorpo, as u wont have control until u do.

make sure you turn off the auto-tag on your pet bar, you have to tag them manualy.

ok coords are coorect, go there and find the scorpions, they are friendly, right in front of them are these things sticking out of the ground click on one and you will become a scorpion, then go down the path of the lava and start using the attack labeled "Tag Greater Felfire Diemetradon" on the Felfire Diemetradon's, do it 8 times and done.
