If you /love this critter, it adds towards one of the new Wrath of the Lich King Achievements called "To all the squirrels I've loved before".

As Aaiko said, be careful when /love'ing the cat. The first time I did it, it said "You scratch Cat. How catty!". I didn't think anything of it and started to leave, but until you actually get the message "You love Cat.", you will not get credit towards the Achievement.

For the cat on the alliance side, go to the Cat Lady's house in Elwynn Forest, where you can buy the different cats from her, 44.4, 53.0, and around the outside of the house are just the plain "cat" you need for this achievement.

also found a cat in the inn in silvermoon city. Don't know where it is exactly, but if you use /target Cat in there, it will target the cat.

Also for Alliance, if you went to the trouble of getting the hare along the coast in the Arathi Highlands, there are also several cats about the place. I don't have the coordinates, but follow the coast south from Revantusk in the Hinterlands, and you'll find it.

For any Horde characters after this critter for the achievement, please don't go all this way for it. There's a ridiculous amount of them in Silvermoon which is much more accessible!

I Went to Culling of Stratholme to /love the cat.. and it aint outside the city as shown on the map, but just inside the City I found a yellow Cat.

For Achievement on Horde side a quick trip to Silvermoon where many many cats roam the streets makes it very easy.

seen lvl 1 human twink with these, i think he must have got them from a neutral AH, cus i think they are only sold in the blood elf place.

The coodrs for the cat in Arathi are 93.8,71.1. And the ram's coords are 91.2,70.1. It's east on the coast of the Forbidden Sea.

At least 2 level 1 "Cat" can be found in Arathi on that isolated dwarven farm by the Forbidding Sea. When I saw them, one had the "Bombay" skin, the other had the "Orange Tabby" skin.

Those dwarves have an idyllic existence . . . a cozy working farm, with plenty to eat, time to loft (one was actually asleep in bed), and their own pier. More of the game should be this . . . calm ;-p
