When spoken to he'll say: "Don't be afraid of the sword, nubling. It's the mutton that gets ya!"
And indeed, as can be seen in the screenshot, he is wielding a sword in one hand, and a piece of mutton in the other. Quite a deadly combination.

I arrived in LHC at 6:00pm server time and he was there, waited until 8:30pm server time and he never moved an inch. Went to see a movie... I log back at 1am and he's still there! I really dunno how to make him start his escort quest :/

Edit: I kept my PC on all night watching the TV and playing some other games and didnt really sleep... long story short: It's now 2:40pm and he's still there. So from 6pm yesterday to 2:40pm now he just stay there with his mules >:(

Edit2: I called a GM after camping the NPC for 24+ hours... apparently the quest bugs sometimes and they do not know what is causing it. They are working on a fix.

Killing him causes you to lose 125 rep with Argent Dawn, and he drops no loot.

He was bugged at LHC, so I was trying different things to un-bug him.

I tried kiting a mob and having him chase it, with the intention of bringing him to the endpoint of his escort quest, but he killed it before I passed the mill.
I tried kiting two mobs, alternating my taunt, and got him a little farther, but he ended up leashing.
I tried setting Argent Dawn to "At War" and kiting him to the endpoint by spamming Faerie Fire, but when I got there nothing happened aside from all the guards attacking me. I Shadowmelded and he ran back to LHC.

So I gave up and killed him. Now his Caravan Mules are just standing around LHC listlessly. Unfortunately, I can't kill them, too. I'm curious to see what happens when/if he respawns, but don't have the patience to wait around to find out.

This is an escort NPC that spawns at LHC. You need to get him to the graveyard south of Stratholme. He aggros EVERYTHING within 100 yards. It's impossible to solo so I'd bring a full party. It's hard to tell when he spawns, but the npc near him says the caravan leaves twice a day.

I'd imagine it gets hard the farther along the path you go since he passes borelgore and the scarlet messenger paths.

Anyone have any idea what the reward for getting the supplies to the front line is?

"Our caravans go out 'bout twice a day, but I'll be damned if the Scourge haven't gone out of their way to stop Didier and his mules from getting shipments to the front line. Craziest thing I've ever seen. If only we had the heroic adventurin' types to help protect the shipments..."

I was hanging in LHC, and I saw a guy named Didier, a 60 elite, take a group of mules and head off out of LHC towards the north. EVERYTHING within 100 yards, undead, jellys in the pit, bats, aggrod immediately. All the mules died, I finished off the mobs, and Didier /cried and was left saying "Metz is going to be mad at me!" when I talked to him. So from Metz, Didier, and the Packmaster in LHC, there is no quest about getting these mules to the front lines. But they do all mention it in their flavor text, leading me to believe that if Didier should complete his journey, perhaps to Strat or the Naxx portal, then when he arrives he would perhaps offer up a quest of thanks, granting reputation and possibly a reward! Packmaster says Didier leaves about twice a day, and this occured at 7:00 pm server time (on Cho'Gall at least), so I'm going to check back at 7 every day and see if I can get Didier all the way.

I just thought, he probably walks to the tents near plaguewood, that the AD set up in the invasion. So hopefully I can lead him there, and see if there's anything for it.

Well i saw this dude around 8PM (Game time on Doomhammer). He was attacked by all with in a huge radius. I tried to save his mules but im sad to say i falied.

If you see him leaving LHC then follow him and help him. When a mob is comming just attack it asap! It is going for the mule and no matter how much dmg you give it, it won't attack you.
And don't loose a single mule. I only lost one and he said something about he was sad and despawned.

As a final note... This was long after the invasion has enden on our server. So it has nothing to do with the invasion and he can be seen after it is over. So do you best and try and guard his mules and see what happens. The secret is yet to be solved.

just heard from my roomate, who is in one of the top guilds on our server, that a kid in his guild successfully got didier thru the area, and got a quest for some reputation. check out the quest "writ of safe passage"
