According to the official World of Warcraft Atlas, this mob is rated as Uncommon rarity with a respawn timer of ~5-8 hours.

Found & Killed her exactly at 79.8, 40.8 dropped some green shoulders.

She is a Silver Elite. :) So she is elite, but is as easy to kill as a normal.

Does anyone know if this is a purely a random spawn or is there someplace better to look for Selendre in EPL?

Those the have killed it, do you recall where you found it, I've been spending the last couple of nights dueling Cult of the Damned in EPL and haven't seen hide nor hair of Deathspeaker Selendre :-(

Found her in Fungal vale I guess she can be in both. I have no idea why people on thottbot are saying silver mobs are elites, they are not they are just rare. In fact probably everything around her is harder to kill then she is after all she is 56 while there are lvl 60 abominations around. silver means she is rare therefore she has a very long spawn rate but also means she drops ok loot. Though in this case there appears no point in farming her.
Either way definatly not an elite.

Found her in "The Fungal Vale" in Eastern Plaguelands, at a camp. Level 56 warlock mob. At 40,51 in a little camp of 2-3 mobs :)

She doesn't drop good! She drops like any normal rare mob, if you want a good rare mob go for: Lord Darkscythe and Foreman Marcrid

found her in fungal vale, she dropped nightshade girdle of the whale.
she was surrounded by a dark adept lvl 59 and a crypt stalker level 58.
first time i tried, i started by mind controlling her to kill the crypt stalker, and immediately into MC, an eyeless watcher found me and screwed it all up.
when i ressed, i did it again, but this time successfully. when she killed the crypt stalker and turned on me, i silenced her and waited for both her and the dark adept to run at me, then used psychic scream and feared both of them.
i bandaged and went at her, got her down pretty quick and halfway through killing the dark adept i ran out of mana, so i wanded him the rest of the way and was done with about half health.
no matter what the rare spawns drop, it's always fun to say you killed them. :)

Saw this lovely girl at Fungal Vale the otherday, sapped, picked her pockets and stared her staff.. Isn´t that The Bringer of Death? (The Bringer of Death be, but looks exactly same. I played some clothies before, but not that much that Id know other staves that look like that.

Not that hard fight to 55lvl rogue, spanked her friends to hug the ground and then did same to her :)
Anyways, dropped 55lvl cloth shoulers with some spirit..
