I got this after I killed atleast 20 thiefs near the northern coast at the 1st wastewander camp. Spent about half an hour looking for this.

I needed this and the Chest pattern for the Dragonscale Leatherworking quest since there was none on AH.

So I started grinding, now 1 hour later and roughly 250 kills I'm leaving Tanaris very dissapointed since no pattern dropped for me, giving me the title <unlucky f*ck> since based on only droprate I would have gotten atleast 6 patterns.

So it's all up to AH now, let there be a kind soul somewhere.

After about 22 kills. But counting Thieves only. When you get it, keep going, you should get another copy every 2nd kill after getting the first. AH the rest or give them to a friend.

I began to think the same thing after NEVER being able to find the Turtle Scale Gloves pattern required for the Wild Leather quests, but obviously it DOES exist. If it didn't there would be no such thing as a Dragonscale Leatherworker.

Update: Just checked the AH on my server (Silvermoon) and found half dozen or more of each pattern and picked them up for 30-40 silver each, then while running through tanaris farming scorps, decided to explore and killed a handful of Wastewanders as I passed by. Each pattern dropped within the first 3-5 kills. Either I got extremely lucky or they recently upped the odds on them dropping. That would explain the sudden availability and low price on AH as well. Now, if only the same were true of the Turtle Scale Gloves... :(

These things drop like crazy from the Wastewanders in Tanaris, East of Gadgetzan. I found 3 of them in less than 6 hours, just from grinding the area.

Same as above, in Tanaris, I had two of these and FIVE breastplate plans drop for me in three hours of grinding!

and then i had every tough scorpid "insert name here" and multiples of each around 16 in total...and found all doing the quest to kill em...only the assassins were tricky as hell to find, only spawned at 1 camp and 1 tower and i ran through the area from start till finnish and east to west several times...and they only spawned 1 at the time at 2 places....and sometimes shadowmage or rouge spawned instead.

...I've managed to get the Scorpid Bracers and Breastplace (twice) patterns, but I'm grinding Thieves like crazy, and haven't seen a Gloves pattern drop! I must have killed at least a hundred by now...

Does this only drop from the thiefs, or does it go for all of em wastewanderers?

In about an hour, I picked up four.

This drop rate is absolutely ridiculous. GREY items don't drop this often. Ok thats a slight exaggeration, but not much.

I've never seen a green item so easy to get. I suspect that after checking the AH I'll end up vendoring these, theres no way they sell for a decent amount. If they do it's the biggest scam in the game.

0,2% drop chance? NO WAY! They drops like every 5 min if you grind. Got 4 gloves patterns and 2 chests... Omg!

Picked em up today in tanaris wastewanders lvl 40-41 they are good should of stayed with leatherworking i went to BS now engineering. Does any1 know if you learn a new profession and then go to the old one and it will still be the same?

I think you are all high. I have been grinding trying to get just 1 glove pattern for 2 hours. Not one pattern of any type has dropped.
And yes, I have been killing thieves and bandits.

Farm for 2,5 hours. Then give up... Few mins later I find it on goblin AH for 15 silver BO. 0.o

I was killing them for about 15 minutes on Duskwood server and had three drop in that time frame

I spent around 4 hours farming the Waistwater theives and still no drop..

This dropped off of the 3rd one I fought, with the intent to collect it specifically for the Dragonscale Leather working quest. All the recipes have dropped for me in an annoying abundance throughout many different characters whilst leveling in Tanaris.
