actually if u just did all the quests in shadowglen with experience turned off u should be able to get the first quest in the chain

does any 1 know how to use ammunition? ever since a recent patch, my hunter cant use bows b/c i need ammunition, and my warrior has the same problem, and I learned how to use bows with my warrior
when i try to use a bow it says that ammo needs to be in the paper doll ammo slot so it can be fired, and I have ammo in a slot, from lvl 1

When you leave Shadowglen at level 5 hunter, you go for this bow. Unless you have the Hunting bow, this weapon is going to last you to level 10 atleast.

In case you were wondering about the minimum level requirement for this bow, it's 6, not "1" (due to XP rewards from quests). Without optimization strategies you should be expecting to grab this bad boy at level 8 or 9.

Webwood Venom is the first part of the chain, and it requires level 3 to obtain, but finishing all the parts of the long chain of quests grants you a total of 4420 experience points (or 5525 in Season of Mastery ) . To ding from level 3 to 4 requires 1400 XP, and the 4 to 5 gap requires another 2100 XP. This means it's completely impossible to actually obtain before level 6, no matter what the databases say.

Despite all this, you will still be holding on to this bow for a while, since there are no obvious quick upgrades when it comes to bows. If you're very lucky, you could even have a Hunting Bow before you finish this quest, but the Laminated Recurve Bow from any bow vendor should be your first realistic upgrade option.

Bows and Crossbows can be learned at level 10 from Ironforge, but since questing in Darkshore is so efficient, you might only get learn those skills at around level 17-20 when you finally start venturing towards Ironforge. When you leave Darkshore, you should have the Owlsight Rifle in your bags from the very easy escort quest The Sleeper Has Awakened, and that's what you'll most likely be using from that on for a while.
