i am a Palla tank so i dont know much about bleed attack but it does sounds like rend,sounds good. while tanking my health bounces back and forth past 35% alll the time, im drooling! big pool of salivia.. all over my keyboard

I'm a prot paladin, i know when/if this comes out that i'll be giving it a go after, i'm not really able to spend any time on the PTR right now, etc. Honestly, as far as a rogue, meh, PvP maybe, but i have a feeling that it'll either not really be a PvP thing, or it'll be on every melee weapon like Crusader/Lifestealing.

As far as tanking is concerned, i see this having real survivability potential, right now for a prot paladin the options are limited, so much so that +20 str is one of the better choices.

One of the things i'm slightly worried about is proc chance, i wish it would scale depending on class, since paladins and i believe DKs don't get bleed effects, either way, think about it like this, how offten will you fall below 35% health on a boss fight? either only during "oh shi~" situations in which case it'll be handy, or all the time in which case it'll be even handier.

Also myself will be working towards getting two weapons, one with this and one with another enchant, this is really useful on bosses, i don't see it being useful on trash, sans multi drakes sarth add tanking.

So am I reading this that it only works on abilities that either cause bleed damage or are DOTs of bleed damage?

when they say "striking an enemy" do they mean specifically with a weapon, or would this work for a feral druid?

This enchant was added for feral druid tanks - because we cannot parry. The first enchant which was added in the ptr for 3.1 was https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/spell=64441 (bladeward) which is obviously useless for druid tanks. This was added to give druids a tanking enchant, imo other tanks would be better off with bladeward.

I suppose the stamina nerf we get in 3.1 will at least help us drop past 35 more often :P

If there is no internal cooldown this would be very powerful, I hope the cooldown is not too long.

This enchant has a chance on hit to apply Blood Reserve. As its not yet fully implemented the buff states:

Blood Reserve
Heals you for 360 to 440 if you take damage while below 35% health.
20 seconds remaining

Apply Aura: Proc Trigger Spell (8)
Value: 360 to 440
Proc chance: 100%

School: Physical

It is also linked to the spell that actually does the healing, Blood Reserve based on the amount of stacks you have.

Some things about this enchantment so far: it has a chance to proc no matter how much health you have as it will apply this buff for if and when you fall below 35% health. It also has a 20 second duration and with no internal cooldown (so far) it'll be very easy to keep this buff up at all times. The buff itself is in the physical school which means it cannot be dispelled.

Not only will this be a nice tanking enchant, it will also prove to be an even better PvP enchant in numerous situations where healing may be tough.

Update: After looking at what looks like a nerf to the healing done (down from 2000 to a range of 360 to 440), my guess is that the buff will stack up to 5 times allowing for the range to look more like the description of the enchantment (except stacking this 5 times would lead to 1800 to 2200 healing - close enough to the enchantment's description).

Update: Now looking at a more accurate description of the enchantment, it directly corresponds to the to above mentioned buffs meaning
One stack: 360 to 440 healing
Two Stacks: 720 to 880 healing
Three Stacks: 1080 to 1320 healing
Four Stacks: 1440 to 1760 healing
Five Stacks: 1800 to 2200 healing

Understand that this type of healing spell lies in the physical school therefore it work like a bandage, except this spell has a completely different mechanic. It is not going to scale with spell power or critical strike chance.

It might be useful for marksmen hunters as well, 'striking', I guess means not only melee attacks. And if if does mean only melee attacks, marksmen have a bleed (Piercing shots), so they can take the advantages of this enchant.

However, I don't expect pvp marksmen above 2200 rating running with this enchant. It can be useful, though, either for soloing or for BGs when you don't have healer with you, or for some pve cases.

Lets interpret the tool tip here

When you fall below 35% health, Blood Reserve restores 360 to 440 health. Lasts 20 sec and stacks up to 5 times.

This could mean the first time within the time period that you go below 35% you get a health bump of 401, then the next time you go below you get 401 (which has stacked from the last time) and another 440, making the total amount you have been healed by 841.

If you average this out over 5 stacks you ultimately get healed by...

2000 = 6000

If of course you go below 35% 5 times within a 20 second period, again, not great, but by no means useless.

Only thought I have is for a duel wield class. Can this enchant on two separate weapons stack 2 different sets of blood counters 5 times? If so Furry Warriors and Rogues are going to have a hayday with this enchant for PvP.

Assuming you are a MM hunter, this enchant will proc off of your bleed effects (piercing shots talent) making it potentially useful, but very impractical.

In theory if you are consistently below 35% hp (the point where this enchant would actually become valuable) you or your raid are doing something wrong.

IMO, even if you enchant something with this and get a better weapon with another enchant, can be really useful to swap from one to another in the middle of the battle if things go wrong.

And for all of us that enjoy soloing the hardest old contents, where all the healings come just from us, this can be a lifesaver.

Just by itself... its okay.

But as a Prot Pali when combined with all the other little tricks... the cumulative effects is very nice indeed.
