The transparency is a bug. Look from underneath of it and it will be solid.
BTW blizz finally noticed that Hunter/melee dps cloaks look really ugly so far and released something that will make us show our cloaks again;P

Awesome cape for Rogues, Hunters, Feral Druids and Shamans if you're not hit capped, otherwise go for Drape of the Deadly Foe. For Warriors and other melee DPS, there are some really nice cloaks with tons of strength on you can pursue.

Honestly, no problem taking this on my ret pally having no rogues/hunters in the raid. The stats are pretty awesome and i still havent adjusted to the whole armor penetration and haste on all the new gear. This thing is nice...

Note that it's bind-on-equip. Once your raid is decked out in these they should sell really well on the AH.

just got it yesterday for my hunter, its design its wicked and a very upturn from the other dps cloaks i seen....purple/ pink....ewww. anyways its stats are amazing for hunters but pretty much every physical dps can use it.

got mine for a little under 2k pretty good since i dont have much time to run uldar.

I just picked this up off the AH for 1499g for my Feral Druid. Couldn't believe it was that cheap, normally if I see it on the AH, its 3k+ at minimum and normally its gone pretty quick, so I think I got lucky and someone had just put it up when I seen it. Anyways bought ASAP, haven't equiped it yet, but planning on it unless I can make a big profit off of it. Bought one a awhile back when it first started showing up on the AH for around 1500g also on my Paladin and turned around and sold it for 3500g. But now I can use it on my druid, back then my druid wasn't 80 yet.

What's with people buying this cloak? I've never seen this on the AH. But it doesn't matter. It dropped for me yesterday. Huge upgrade from the Cloak of Darkening I had before. Agi, Hit, Crit, and AP are the top 4 stats Hunters (and probably other physical DPS classes) are looking for. Plus it looks evil and not girly!

It's also worth it to note that this cloak is the "Hit Rating Stat" equivalent of https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=45873#comments:id=826678 (Winter's Frigid Embrace)...I keep both of these around as I get new gear, if I need hit I equip the Shawl of the Shattered Giant, if I'm at cap, I equip Winter's Frigid Embrace.

I just bought it for 500g on Korgath. I didnt even know this item. as soon as I logged in again after a game frozen, seen someone was selling it on trade channel, so I just pm'd him for a price checking, he said he wanted 1000g. I said its too much for me , but I really need a pve cloak since I use pvp one for the hit rating. then he asked me an offer. I offered 500g. he said ok, consider its your lucky day. now I got it in my inventory and came here to check. omg, its 3.5k -5k g. I am really really lucky then. thank the seller very much, he must want to help me and didn't care about gold much.

As someone who pretty much went from T7 to T9 with very little Ulduar in between, I have my eyes peeled for this cloak. I've had the Valor Badge cloak since December 08 and my guild uses Rolls instead of point systems for loot and I have been horribly unlucky. Yes, the cloak off the first boss in ToC (25) is pretty awesome but if you are someone like me who doesn't have access to 10 man runs, or any Ulduar or Naxx runs (time constraints >.<) this is not a bad alternative if one is sitting in your G bank or you can fetch it for a good price.

I managed to get one from the AH for 300G

I am gonna keep hold of it for my Rogue (lvl 20) he will love it when he gets a bit older :)
