https://www.wowhead.com/wotlk/item=45484 is VASTLY better and much easier to get for combat rogues. Shamans wouldn't want this either because of it's fast speed, so it's pretty much a hunter stat junk item if they really want it despite better hunter melee weapons being out there.

I will never understand you rogues and your desire to shard stuff because of a 0.1s speed difference...

This Item has more total Attack Power, ArP instead of Haste and a better socket, compared to your Bladetwister.
It's ridiculous to state that it's "VASTLY" worse then bladetwister because of the 1.50<->1.40 speed difference.

How would punching someone in the face with a dragon's nose hurt? It doesn't even have any sharp pointy objects to make em bleed! I can imagine seeing a gnome rogue punch someone with this, then see the target fall over saying it tickled. (especially if the dragon sticksits tongue out when you punch em with it!)

It's like they made a fist weapon for the Flametongue Weapon mechanics before the 3.1 patch, and then nerfed Flametongue without telling the Ulduar design team.

Useless weapon, as most rogues will be using the superior Bladetwister in the long run. If Blizzard would just change it to 2.7 speed, Enhancement shamans would also have access to a hardmode offhand weapon. ^^

You don't understand because you don't understand Rogue mechanics. You see a tiny 0.1 speed difference. Rogues see a huge reduction in the energy they generate and Deadly Poison falling off more often and taking longer to stack up. 30 AP isn't close to worth 0.1 weapon speed. For some concrete numbers, see below.

In a 5 minute fight, you will swing 280 times with a 1.5 speed offhand and 100% SnD uptime. A 1.4 speed offhand will swing 300 times. That's 20 swings, 20% chance to gain 20 energy, or 80 energy. That's exactly two Sinister Strikes. My average SS damage according to my most recent WWS from the last raid was 2978.5 (would be a bit higher if I had a Saronite Dragon instead of Masticator). Since we've already said the fight was 5 minutes long, we just multiply that by two and divide by the fight time in seconds to get the DPS increase, just from the extra SSes and not counting the CPs and cycle improvements. It comes out to 19.86. Now, again taken from WWS, I do an average of 111 SSes over a 5 minute fight. The DT has 10 additional attack power (both socketed with +16 Agi). So, we can calculate its bonus damage and thus DPS.

Sinister Strike: (10 / 14 * 2.4) * 1.04 * 1.10 * 1.15 == 2.25
Eviscerate: 10 * .15 == 1.5
Rupture: 10 * .24 == 2.4

So, with that same number of 111 SSes, we get 249.75 damage increase from Sinister Strike. Let's say we do 20 Eviscerates, that's 30 damage. With an equal number of Ruptures, that's 48 more damage. This is obviously a low estimate, because we didn't factor crit, so let's increase all of these by 100% (which is obviously a high estimate, but it will serve a purpose). That gives us the following damage increases:

Sinister Strike: 500 damage
Eviscerate: 60 damage
Rupture: 96 damage
Total: 656
DPS: 656/300 == 2.19 DPS

White damage can be calculated as DPS directly. For the MH, it's 10 / 14. For the OH, it's 10 / 14 * .75
MH == .71
OH == .54

So, the total DPS increase given by the DT is 2.19 + .71 + .54, or 3.44. So, the obviously high estimate says that the weapon you claim is better provides only 17.3% of the DPS increase as the accepted best weapon. Not only that, but we didn't factor in all the damage increase from the extra energy in Bladetwister.

But, we could have avoided all that math if you simply understood stats in regard to Rogues. Total AP on an item isn't its measure of worth. The simplest method is using either AEP or similar weighted EP scale. My spreadsheet happens to print out my weighted EP values, so let's compare the weapons using that. Here are the EP values.

Agility: 2.02
AP: 1
Crit: 1.67
Hit: 1.29
Expertise: 1.56
Haste: 1.49
Armor Penetration: 1.88

So, let's quantify the value of each weapon's stats. The DT will use a Deadly Monarch Topaz and the BT will use a Delicate Scarlet Ruby.

DT: 43 Agi, 39 Crit, 94 AP, 37 ArPen == 315.55
BT: 71 Agi, 28 Crit, 37 Haste, 64 AP == 309.31

So, the items are nearly identical as far as stats are concerned. The actual difference is on the order of 6.2 AP, not even the 10 we used to calculate the above numbers. The bottom line is that Delirium's Touch is strictly inferior to the Bladetwister, and you don't understand how Rogues work.

Your EP chart is pretty close, but ArP is a bit low, optimal set-ups / specs give it a greater value (under the cap). You still got the point that DT is better than BT stat-for-stat, though. However, you can forget your napkin math. It's too difficult to factor everything in when comparing two items as close as these are. For example, you forgot Killing Spree damage. Just play around with a spreadsheet and see which item is better for you. Right now, in full BiS gear and the optimal spec, I have DT at ~9 overall dps higher than BT.
